Compared with the population with normally formed uterus, patients with CUA have higher abortion rate, higher fetal loss rate and decreased live birth rate. Hysteroscopic metroplasty (HM) is a standard, safe and minimally invasive method for the treatment of correctible types of congenital uterine anomalies. Aim: The aim of the study was to analyze the reproductive outcome in group of patients with infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss and present CUA, before and after hysteroscopic metroplasty. Material and Methods: We analyzed 67 patients to whom 78 interventions hysteroscopic metroplasty were performed at the University Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Skopje during a two year period, between 01.01.2010 and 31.12.2011. Their reproductive outcome was monitored during a two-year period and the same group served as a control group, taking into account their previous reproductive history. Statistical analysis was performed using Chi-square test and p < 0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. Results: Most common CUA were types 5b and 6 represented by 88 %. In a follow up period of two years, 33 of the patients become pregnant. There was a statistically significant decrease of abortion rate from 92% to 21.2%, as well as an increase in the term delivery rate from 0% to 69.7%. Conclusion: Treatment with hysteroscopic metroplasty is significantly improving the reproductive outcome in patients with CUA and previous fetal loss.

We cross-referenced the surgical margin state with the histopathological diagnosis (LSIL, HSIL or micro-invasive/invasive cancer), menopausal status of the patients, number of pregnancies, surgeon experience, operating time and cone depth. The data was analyzed with the Chi square test, Fisher’s exact test for categorical data and Student’s T test for continuous data and univariate and multivariate logistical regressions were performed. Results:A total of 246 medical records have neen analyzed, out of which 29 (11.79%) patients had LSIL, 194 (78.86%) had HSIL and 23 (9.34%) patients suffered micro-invasive/invasive cervical cancer. The aetiology is multifactorial. The diagnosis of UI is important because it can result in the application of appropriate therapy. Urodynamics is a golden standard, without which every UI diagnosis is insufficient.AIM: The goal of this study was, based on urodynamic results, to prove the existence of evident differences between the subtypes of UI.METHODS: Eighty patients with UI were evaluated (50 with urinary stress incontinence-USI and 30 with detrusor instability-DI) according to a standard evaluation protocol. Exclusion criteria were: mixed UI and diseases that simulated UI. All patients were 36-65 years of age (mean 56). The following parameters were measured: maximal and average flow, maximal and average voiding pressure. These parameters were compared between both groups, to determine th...

The study was a cross-sectional medical record review of patients diagnosed with advanced stage HGSC. Patients were deemed eligible for inclusion if they were diagnosed with an advanced stage (Stage IIIA-IV) HGSC of the ovary, fallopian tube or peritoneum between 2009 and 2015. The data were analyzed in a descriptive fashion and summary statistics were provided, as appropriate. Survival was calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method. A total of 81 eligible patients were identified and included in the study. The average overall survival in the studied cohort was 46.59 months (95%CI = 39.11-54.06). Patients that were optimally debulked and patients that had a platinum-free interval larger than 12 months had significantly longer survival in the current series (p < 0.001). the average overall survival of advanced stage HGSC ...

Study design: We analysed the reproductive outcome of 69 patients, with different degrees of septate uterus, undergoing hysteroscopic metroplasty in the outpatient infertility clinic of Naples 'Federico II' University. Of the 69 patients, 48 had a history of recurrent abortion while 21 had a primary infertility. In all cases the procedure was performed by means of the resectoscope. Results: In 97.1% of the cases post-operative hysterosalpingogram or hysteroscopic examination showed a normal cavity with a little fundal notch. In two cases, second surgery was needed. Of the 48 patients affected by repeated abortion, 40 became pregnant after the metroplasty whereas, to date, in the infertile group only six out 21 (29.0%) conceived. We observed a total of 46 pregnancies with two sets of twins. Of these, 31 pregnancies (67.4%) were carried to term, five (10.8%) ended in preterm delivery, six (13%) ended in spontaneous abortion and four (8.6%) are in progress. Cervical cerclage was performed on 13 women. Only one (7.6%) woman with cervical cerclage had a preterm delivery, while the preterm delivery rate in women without cerclage was 12.1%. The modality of term pregnancy deliveries was caesarian section in 48% of the cases and vaginal delivery in the 52%. Conclusions: Our data analysis suggest that the correction of mullerian anomalies does not improve the pregnancy rate, but only the pregnancy outcome of the patients.

In most patients it is asymptomatic, and the lesions are usually mistaken for benign processes, leading to establishing a diagnosis at later stages. Case report. We report a case of a 38-year-old woman diagnosed as having a proximal-type of epithelioid sarcoma (PES) of the vulva. Wide local excision of the lesion at the right labium majus was performed. There was no evidence of local or distant metastasis at the time of diagnosis. Following adjuvant chemoradiotherapy, the patient developed bilateral inguinal lymph node metastasis 3 months after surgery and lung metastasis 6 months after surgery. Ten months after establishing the diagnosis, the patient died as a result of disseminated disease. Conclusion. Until now only 21 cases of primary epithelioid sarcoma of the vulva have been reported in the English literature. Epithelioid sarcoma is best treated by early diagnosis and initial eradication.
