Few studies have been done to comparatively analyze the performance of contourlet-based fusion methods;
furthermore, no research has been done to analyze the contourlet-based fusion methods by focusing on their unique transform mechanisms. In addition, no research has focused on the original contourlet transform and its upgraded versions. In this paper, we investigate three different kinds of contourlet
transform: i) original contourlet transform, ii) nonsubsampled contourlet transform, iii) contourlet transform with sharp frequency localization. The latter two transforms were developed to overcome the major drawbacks of the original contourlet transform; so it is necessary and beneficial to see how they perform in the context of hyperspectral image fusion. The results of our comparative analysis show that the latter two transforms perform better than the original contourlet transform in terms of increasing spatial resolution and preserving spectral information

Load balancing in grid computing is a technique which overall optimizes the whole process of assigning computational tasks to processing nodes. Grid computing is a form of distributed computing but different from conventional distributed computing in a manner that it tends to be heterogeneous, more loosely coupled and dispersed geographically. Optimization of this process must contains the overall maximization of resources utilization with balance load on each processing unit and also by decreasing the overall time or output. Evolutionary algorithms like genetic algorithms have studied so far for the implementation of load balancing across the grid networks. But problem with these genetic algorithm is that they are quite slow in cases where large number of tasks needs to be processed. In this paper we give a novel approach of parallel genetic algorithms for enhancing the overall performance and optimization of managing the whole process of load balancing across the grid nodes.

Since they are left unattended, an adversary can generate false report attacks through compromised nodes.
This would result in an increased number of verifications to filter these reports, causing waste of scarce
energy resources. In this paper, we propose energy-efficient path configuration method for dynamic enroute
filtering (EDEF), which uses fuzzy logic to select the forwarding node(s). In order to cater to
compromised nodes and to detect and filter the false reports, we create alternative paths. Our proposed
method selects forwarding nodes based on the key content of neighbor nodes, the number of neighbor
nodes, and the residual energy. Auth-keys are distributed randomly from the global key pool. Simulation
results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method with up to 8.2% energy efficiency as
compared to the dynamic en-route filtering (DEF) scheme.

especially has always proved to be a difficult task. With very less patterns and logic within the data it
quickly reaches a point where no more data can be represented within a given number of bits. The
proposed technique will allow us to compress irrespective of it’s pattern or logic within, and represent it.
Further it will permit the technique to be again applied to the already compressed data without having any
change in the possible compression ratio. While data can’t be compressed further than a limit the
technique will rely on representing the data as a position in any computationally easy number series that
extends to infinity provided it have high enough deviation among it’s digits. Only few markers that are
linked to the position is saved, rather than representing the original data. The system then use these
markers to guess the position and derive the data from it. The procedure is however, computationally
intensive and as of now can raise questions of data corruption but with more computing power, efficient
algorithm and proper data integrity checks it will be able to provide very high compression ratios in the
future

complexity, diversity of use. With the introduction of commercial website, social network, expectations are
that the high scalability, more flexible database will replace the RDBMS. Complex application and Big
Table require highly optimized queries. Users are facing the increasing bottlenecks in their data analysis. A
growing part of the database community recognizes the need for significant and fundamental changes to
database design. A new philosophy for creating database systems called noDB aims at minimizing the datato-
query time, most prominently by removing the need to load data before launching queries. That will
process queries without any data preparation or loading steps. There may not need to store data. User can
pipe raw data from websites, DBs, excel sheets into two promise sample inputs without storing anything.
This study is based on PostgreSQL systems. A series of the baseline experiment are executed to evaluate the
Performance of this system as per -a. Data loading cost, b-Query processing timing, c-Avoidance of
Collision and Deadlock, d-Enabling the Big data storage and e-Optimize query processing etc. The study
found significant possible capabilities of noDB system over the traditional database management system.

feature histogram. The facial expression is classified by the SVM classifier with exponential chi-square
weighted merging kernel. The proposed method was evaluated on the JAFFE database and in real-world

voltage conversion ratio with small switch voltage stress . The converter is suitable for the applications
where high voltage conversion is required. The proposed DC-DC converter has low voltage ratted
MOSFET switch and is connected to PV array to get high output voltage at small duty ratios. Hence it has
high efficiency. The principles of operations and the theoretical analysis are presented in this paper. All the
simulations are done in MATLAB- SIMULINK Environment and results were obtained with voltage
conversion ratio of 4.9.

Research paper thumbnail of ENERGY-EFFICIENT PATH CONFIGURATION METHOD FOR DEF IN WSNS

Simulation
results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method with up to 8.2% energy efficiency as
compared to the dynamic en-route filtering (DEF) scheme.

unknown Gaussian population average. A remedy is necessary. By peeling away entropy junkies, a refined
version is introduced and it is named nucleus entropy in this article. Statistical properties and advantages
of the Gaussian nucleus entropy are derived and utilized to interpret 2005 and 2007 waste disposals (in
1,000 tons) by fifty-one states (including the District of Columbia) in USA. Each state generates its own,
imports from a state for a revenue, and exports to another state with a payment waste disposal [2]. Nucleus
entropy is large when the population average is large and/or when the population variance is lesser.
Nucleus entropy advocates the significance of the waste policies under four scenarios: (1) keep only
generated, (2) keep generated with receiving in and shipping out, (3) without receiving in, and (4) without
shipping out. In the end, a few recommendations are suggested for the waste management policy makers.

especially has always proved to be a difficult task.
The procedure is however, computationally
intensive and as of now can raise questions of data corruption but with more computing power, efficient
algorithm and proper data integrity checks it will be able to provide very high compression ratios in the
future

Research paper thumbnail of AN EFFICIENT FUSION BASED UP-SAMPLING TECHNIQUE FOR RESTORATION OF SPATIALLY COMPRESSED IMAGES

high resolution images. In order to overcome this problem effectively, an image fusion based
interpolation technique is proposed here to restore the high frequency information. The Discrete Cosine
Transform interpolation technique preserves low frequency information whereas Discrete Sine Transform
preserves high frequency information. Therefore, by fusing the DCT and DST based up-sampled images,
more high frequency, relevant information of both the up-sampled images can be preserved in the restored,
fused image. The restoration of high frequency information lessens the degree of blurring in the fused
image and hence improves its objective and subjective quality. Experimental result shows the proposed
method achieves a Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) improvement up to 0.9947dB than DCT
interpolation and 2.8186dB than bicubic interpolation at 4:1 compression ratio.

complexity, diversity of use.

This paper proposes a real-time person independent facial expression recognition system using a
geometrical feature-based approach. The face geometry is extracted using the modified active shape
model. Each part of the face geometry is effectively represented by the Census Transformation (CT) based
feature histogram. The facial expression is classified by the SVM classifier with exponential chi-square
weighted merging kernel. The proposed method was evaluated on the JAFFE database and in real-world
environment. The experimental results show that the approach yields a high recognition rate and is
applicable in real-time facial expression analysis.
