Knowledge era is an era with the demands of a more complex and challenging, where this era of enormous influence on education. Therefore, education is faced with the challenge to produce quality human resources in meeting the challenges and demands of a competitive nature. For that skills such as acting and thinking critically, creatively, work collaboratively, cross-cultural understanding, communication, computer controlled, career and learning to accept required on this knowledge era. Entering the era of knowledge, education in Indonesia is preparing for the educational system in order to prepare skilled and skilled labor needed in the process of industrialization, and foster and develop a mastery of the various branches of science and technology expertise. Based on these studies, it is need to be done in terms of plant genetic identity at the DNA level, to look at genetic variation. Genetic variation identity information required for the supply of seeds for the development of industrial tree plantations, with the aim of preventing inbreeding and for conservation purposes. Jati merupakan salah satu spesies perkebunan yang menjanjikan di daerah tropis, maka perakitan ca... more Jati merupakan salah satu spesies perkebunan yang menjanjikan di daerah tropis, maka perakitan calon tanaman jati unggul diperlukan. Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuann menganalisis variasi genetik varian jati arboretum dengan penanda mikrosatelit. Sebelum melakukan analisis variasi genetik, terlebih dahulu dilakukan Optimasi kondisi PCR untuk berlangsungnya proses amplifikasi DNA sampel. PCR peka terhadap sejumlah parameter meliputi: magnesium klorida, DNA templat, konsentrasi primer, dan suhu annealing selama amplifikasi. Kondisi reaksi dioptimalkan sebelum amplifikasi guna menghindari produk amplifikasi tidak spesifik seperti ukuran pita DNA yang heterogen. Di samping itu penggunaan pewarnaan perak juga perlu diperhatikan meliputi, komponenkomponen larutan yang digunakan, tahapan-tahapan pewarnaannya harus benar-benar dilakukan sesuai petunjuk dan butuh keterampilan serta kehatia-hatian. Hal ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh pola pita DNA yang baik sehingga memudahkan analisis selanjutnya dalam hal ini variasi genetik.

The purpose of writing this article was to describe the study of molecular research results as a ... more The purpose of writing this article was to describe the study of molecular research results as a material for developing a plant taxonomy textbook. To achieve these objectives, the researcher conducted library research, which was directed to the search results of molecular research through:the journal of research, the results of research that had been done, scientific articles, e-books, library, and data bases. Based on the study results, it was obtained a plant taxonomy textbook which was implied by some discussion of molecular studies, which served to supplement facts of morphological study results, so that it was more accurate and comprehensive. Accurate, means that the discussion about the morphological facts, which is influenced by environmental conditions comes through molecular studies. Comprehensive, means that plant taxonomy topics will be studied more widely and deeply, because it is reviewed in terms of morphology and molecular.

Mind, knowledge, and the organization is a prominent factor in the era of information and knowledge. Educational institution should be able to prepare the profile of graduates who have the competencies relevant to the new age or information age. Some of the competencies necessary to be able to survive in the information age and knowledge are: 1) critical thinking ability and willingness to work hard, (2) creativity, (3) kalaborasi, (4) cross-cultural understanding, (5) communication, (6) operates a computer, (7) ability to learn independently. In this regard it is in science education should be reinforced with mathematics as a way of thinking of science, science laboratories equipped, the education of creativity, development of digital education.
