Traditional detection methods for A. hydrophila are time-consuming, require specific expertise, and are difficult to interpret. In this study, we established an indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method for the rapid and sensitive detection of A. hydrophila using polyclonal antibodies. Fish samples exhibiting clinical symptoms of Aeromoniasis were collected and subjected to microbiological and molecular analysis for pathogen identification. Polyclonal antibodies against A. hydrophila were procured and optimized for ELISA. The reaction conditions were meticulously explored through a square matrix titration test to determine the optimal dilutions of antigen and antibody. Results indicated that the ELISA exhibited specificity towards A. hydrophila, with a defined cutoff value of 0.2481 for positive samples. The developed assay offers a reliable tool for the early detection of A. hydrophila infections in aquaculture, facilitating timely management strategies and mitigating economic losses.

Both sleep and physical activity are integral components of a healthy lifestyle, and their interaction has been a subject of growing interest in research. The aim of this paper was to delve into the impact of sleep on physical activity and vice versa, highlighting the importance of maintaining a balance between these two aspects for overall well-being. The study revealed that there was a significant negative correlation between physical activity and sleep quality (r = −0.184, P<0.01) i.e., we can say physical activity can positively predict psychological resilience. This paper also discusses practical strategies to optimize both sleep quality and physical activity levels.

It is well documented that fish parasites are associated with the alterations in haematological, biochemical and histopathological changes in fish communities all over the world. By acing as secondary pathogens, they have been linked with the imunomodulation in fishes. This review presents a thorough literature citing the various instances of immunomodulations in fishes against parasites.

Various drugs have been formulated, standardized, and used in the industry to combat bacterial infections. However, non-judicious drugs can lead to pharmacological problems and induction of toxicity in fishes, leaving them less suitable for human consumption. These drugs can be supplemented with the natural herb plants having antibacterial activities, although they cannot be used solely to curb the menace. Therefore, the review put forth an idea, which plant herbs can be used as antibacterial drugs in fishes.

Present study was to ascertain the presence of S. parasitica infections using molecular diagnostic techniques in cultured rainbow trouts collected from different hatcheries of Kashmir valley. Growth of S. parasitica at different incubation temperatures was examined. The molecular detection of fungus done by using PCR, revealed that the twenty trout specimens out of 144 collected samples were found infected with Saprolegnia parasitica with overall prevalence of 13.88%, with a PCR product size of around 750 bp. No growth of S. parasitica was reported at 4°C after 48 h of incubation. S. parasitica infections were more frequent in cold water months when water temperature was recorded between 7°C – 9°C.
