Requirements elicitation is the initial phase of requirements engineering concerned with gatherin... more Requirements elicitation is the initial phase of requirements engineering concerned with gathering users' needs, which makes it a major determinant of the outcome of the entire software development process. Software users have psychological concerns which influence requirements elicitation and a knowledge of these cognitive processes will enable developers empathize with users during requirements elicitation and enable them capture their cognitive needs which are formulated as mental models. This research conducted experiments to determine the role of working memory in the elicitation of users' cognitive requirements. Findings showed that the best place to capture users' implicit needs is from the working memory when a users' mind is formulating mental models along the line of the solution to the problem. This will improve the requirements engineering process, better project outcomes and more satisfied users.
В данной статье рассматриваются функционирование сложноподчиненных придаточных предложений причин... more В данной статье рассматриваются функционирование сложноподчиненных придаточных предложений причины с союзом "weil" в современном немецком языке в жанре передовой статьи и способы их передачи на русский язык. В работе изучается положение придаточного предложения причины в составе сложноподчиненного предложения, а также временные формы, характерные для данного вида предложений. На основании предлагаемого исследования авторами делаются выводы о наличии сходства и различия в функционировании придаточных предложений причины немецкого и русского языков.

This article aims to determine similarities and differences in manifestation of symbolism of the ... more This article aims to determine similarities and differences in manifestation of symbolism of the blue/light blue color in the English and German publicistic texts. The subject of this research is the semantics of English and German lexemes representing the blue/light blue color in both languages. The symbolism of this color designation is selected due to its insufficient coverage in comparative linguistics. Based on the material of lexicographic sources, the author describes the dictionary meanings of the aforementioned lexemes, which resemble symbolism of the blue color in the English and German publicistic texts. The scientific novelty lies in the establishment of similarities and differences of symbolism of the blue/light blue color on the example of the English and German publicistic texts, highlighting that in the English texts, the lexemes that denote these colors are used more often than in the German texts (English word ‘blue’; German word ‘blau’). Globalization of the economy has changed the nature of competition. Territorial distribution of u... more Globalization of the economy has changed the nature of competition. Territorial distribution of units, engaged in these or other business processes, assumed the character of an independent source of competitive advantage. The article discusses the features of a modern approach to management of geographically distributed companies. To characterize the dynamics of spatial distribution of business processes the authors define the concepts of "presence region", "base region", "home region" and "key region", which define characteristics of regions where the company can carry out its activities. The authors show that geographically distributed business processes are sources of the company's growth and ways to strengthen its competitiveness, not only due to the choice of the optimal placement of its business processes, but also due to their coordination. The article identifies the benefits and disadvantages of spatial distribution and spatial concentration of business processes. Studying the basis of features of regional development in the Russian Federation the authors conclude that for Russian companies the territorial expansion of activities within the boundaries of the country's complexity and scale is comparable to the process of internationalization of foreign companies' activities.
