Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model discovery learning sehingga dapat ... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model discovery learning sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kecakapan kerjasama siswa pada pembelajaran IPA. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 32 Bengkulu Tengah berjumlah 24 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan lembar observasi kecakapan kerjasama siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah lembar observasi dan tes. Data observasi dianalisis rata-rata skor, skor tertinggi, skor terendah dan persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal, sedangkan data tes menggunakan rumus rata-rata nilai dan persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan komik strip sebagai media pembelajaran IPA dan mengetahui kelayakannya berdasarkan hasil penilaian validator serta respon siswa. Prosedur penelitian dan pengembangan mengacu model pengembangan 4-D (four-D) terdiri dari 4 tahap pengembangan, yaitu tahap pendefinisian (Define), perancangan (Design), pengembangan (Develop), dan penyebaran (Desseminate). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penilaian validator aspek materi diperoleh skor sebesar 0,82, aspek bahasa diperoleh skor sebesar 0,81 dan aspek desain diperoleh skor sebesar 0,82. This study aims to develop LKPD oriented contextual approach to the material adaptation of living... more This study aims to develop LKPD oriented contextual approach to the material adaptation of living things to their environment class VI and to describe the feasibility and responses of users (teachers and students). The research was conducted at SDN Muara Kuis Muratara in class VI. This research is a research and development research with the Four D (4D) model. The object of this research is LKPD with contextual approach orientation. The research stages are define, design, develop and disseminate. The instrument used is a feasibility test questionnaire and teacher interviews and student questionnaires. The feasibility test was carried out by 6 validators, namely 2 material experts, 2 language experts and 2 display experts. The user response test was carried out on 15 grade VI students and 1 teacher at SDN Muara Kuis Muratara. Data analysis used percentage technique and processed descriptively. The contextual elements in the LKPD are relating (connecting), experiencing (experience), applying (application), cooperating (working together), and transfering (moving). The results of the LKPD feasibility test are contextually oriented by the validator in terms of material aspects, language aspects and presentation aspects. Feasibility of the material obtained 0.81 (very feasible), language 0.66 (feasible criteria), display 0.80 (very feasible). This research is a research and development (RD) using the ADDIE model, which consists of 5 stages: the Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate stages. Subjects in the study were grade VI students of SD Negeri 2 Bengkulu City. The research instrument used a validation sheet, a teacher and student response questionnaire, and a question test sheet. The research data were then analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the inquiry-based LKPD products that had been developed and assessed by expert validators were in the very valid category with an average percentage of 94.79%; the teacher's response to the guided inquiry-based LKPD obtained a percentage of 80.0% with appropriate categories or criteria, and student responses to guided inquiry-based LKPD received a percentage of 74.62% in...

The research used the ADDIE model and had two classes of 22 students as its sample population. The research tools were validation sheets, student assessment sheets, and learning outcome test sheets. Data was collected through multiple methods and analyzed using expert validation and reliability tests. The results showed that the STEM-based worksheets were highly feasible in terms of material, language, and presentation, and effective in improving student learning outcomes.

This research aims to develop practical and practical guidelines for basic science concepts to im... more This research aims to develop practical and practical guidelines for basic science concepts to improve critical thinking skills of students of the PGMI Faculty of Tarbiyah and Tadris IAIN Bengkulu who are valid and practical. The research subjects of R & D were 15 students, 7 lecturers and researchers themselves, while the object of this research was a practical guide for basic science concepts courses. This study uses a development model with 4-D procedures recommended by Thiagarajan (1974). In the 4-D development model, there are 4 steps taken to produce a learning development product. The stages include define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, the development of a practical guide for basic science concepts was carried out until the development stage. The instruments used were questionnaires and interview guides for needs analysis, expert validation sheets, legibility test sheets and practicality test sheets. The results showed that the practical guidelines for the basic concepts of science developed were valid, practical and suitable to be used to improve students' critical thinking skills.

The objective of this study was to examine pre-service physics teacher understanding related to p... more The objective of this study was to examine pre-service physics teacher understanding related to physics content knowledge by investigating knowledge of the Basic Electrical Concepts (BECs) test and the student’s certainty in their physics knowledge. Data was collected from 57 preservice physics teachers with the BECs test and Certainty of Response Index (CRI) values. The BECs test with CRI was administered to pre-service physics students following accomplishment of a unit of study on electricity and simple circuit. The results of diagnostic test were classified into correct and incorrect answers, and CRI values were classified into certain and uncertain. High CRI value in incorrect answer on the BECs test implied that 26% preservice physics teachers had misconceptions about basic electrical concepts. One of the goals is to develop problem solving skills, but the existing teaching materials were not sufficient to facilitate problem solving. Therefore, problem solving based mathematics teaching materials were needed. The purpose of this research is to produce a mathematics teaching material model based on problem-solving, to support the goal achievement of mathematics primary education courses on the postgraduate program of primary school teacher education. This research and development used descriptive and evaluative methods. The descriptive method used to collect data on mathematics teaching materials, postgraduate student conditions, and supporting and inhibiting factors in developing the model of mathematics teaching material based on problem solving. The evaluative method was used to evaluate the testing process in developing mathematics teaching material model based on problem-solving. The product was developed through trials on postgraduate students from faculty of teacher training and education university of Bengkulu as the subjects. The data collection instruments were documents, questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests. Furthermore, the data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed mathematics teaching material model based on problem-solving was valid and practice.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) melalui empat tahapan, yaitu; perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Dari hasil tes evaluasi pada penelitian siklus I, diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 46,4. Pada siklus II, diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 56,1. Pada siklus III, diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas siswa sebesar 72,4. Persentase awal minat belajar siswa sebesar 35,00%. Setelah dilakukan tindakan, persentase minat belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 43,83 %, pada siklus II sebesar 55,44%, dan pada siklus III sebesar 84,07%. The study analyzed two grade X physics textbooks published by Erlangga and Yudhistira. The analyz... more The study analyzed two grade X physics textbooks published by Erlangga and Yudhistira. The analyzed textbooks emphasized the insertion of four aspects of the nature of science (NOS), consisting of science as a body of knowledge, science as a way of investigating; science as a way of thinking; and science and its interaction with technology and society. The content analyzed is the subject matter in the odd semester. The raters consisted of one physics lecturer (rater 1) and two teachers (rater 2 and 3). The raters used the scoring rubric developed by the researchers based on indicators from the four aspects of NOS. The results stated that Erlangga's Textbook inserted (a) the first 58.46% of the NOS aspects; (b) 26.28% second aspect of NOS; (c) 31.78% of the third aspect of NOS; and (c) 16.86% of the fourth aspect of NOS. Also, the results in Yudhistira's book revealed that (a) the first 49.55% of the NOS aspects; (b) 13.88% second aspect of NOS; (c) 24.55% third aspect of NOS; and (d) 12.01% of the fourth aspect of NOS. The percentage of inter-rater agreements ranged from 70-88%. The percent agreement strengthens with the interval of kappa value from 0.60 to 0.88. The results indicated that the two books devoted half of the learning material that reflected science as a body of knowledge but neglected science as a way of investigating, and science and its interaction with technology and society.

The results of the test using the LKPD oriented contextual approach, a response was obtained that the LKPD had met the needs of teachers to be used as teaching materials to support science learning in class VI and received positive criteria by students on aspects of LKPD material quality, LKPD display aspects, aspects of material presentation, and aspects of LKPD. benefits through the distribution of questionnaires. It can be concluded that the use of contextual approachoriented LKPD is feasible and positive to be used as teaching material in grade VI SD.

This research is a research and development (RD) using the ADDIE model, which consists of 5 stages: the Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate stages. Subjects in the study were grade VI students of SD Negeri 2 Bengkulu City. The research instrument used a validation sheet, a teacher and student response questionnaire, and a question test sheet. The research data were then analyzed using descriptive analysis. The research used the ADDIE model and had two classes of 22 students as its sample population. The research tools were validation sheets, student assessment sheets, and learning outcome test sheets. Data was collected through multiple methods and analyzed using expert validation and reliability tests. The results showed that the STEM-based worksheets were highly feasible in terms of material, language, and presentation, and effective in improving student learning outcomes.

This research aims to develop practical and practical guidelines for basic science concepts to im... more This research aims to develop practical and practical guidelines for basic science concepts to improve critical thinking skills of students of the PGMI Faculty of Tarbiyah and Tadris IAIN Bengkulu who are valid and practical. The research subjects of R & D were 15 students, 7 lecturers and researchers themselves, while the object of this research was a practical guide for basic science concepts courses. This study uses a development model with 4-D procedures recommended by Thiagarajan (1974). In the 4-D development model, there are 4 steps taken to produce a learning development product. The stages include define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, the development of a practical guide for basic science concepts was carried out until the development stage. The instruments used were questionnaires and interview guides for needs analysis, expert validation sheets, legibility test sheets and practicality test sheets. The results showed that the practical guidelines for the basic concepts of science developed were valid, practical and suitable to be used to improve students' critical thinking skills.

The objective of this study was to examine pre-service physics teacher understanding related to p... more The objective of this study was to examine pre-service physics teacher understanding related to physics content knowledge by investigating knowledge of the Basic Electrical Concepts (BECs) test and the student’s certainty in their physics knowledge. Data was collected from 57 preservice physics teachers with the BECs test and Certainty of Response Index (CRI) values. The BECs test with CRI was administered to pre-service physics students following accomplishment of a unit of study on electricity and simple circuit. The results of diagnostic test were classified into correct and incorrect answers, and CRI values were classified into certain and uncertain. High CRI value in incorrect answer on the BECs test implied that 26% preservice physics teachers had misconceptions about basic electrical concepts. One of the goals is to develop problem solving skills, but the existing teaching materials were not sufficient to facilitate problem solving. Therefore, problem solving based mathematics teaching materials were needed. The purpose of this research is to produce a mathematics teaching material model based on problem-solving, to support the goal achievement of mathematics primary education courses on the postgraduate program of primary school teacher education. This research and development used descriptive and evaluative methods. The descriptive method used to collect data on mathematics teaching materials, postgraduate student conditions, and supporting and inhibiting factors in developing the model of mathematics teaching material based on problem solving. The evaluative method was used to evaluate the testing process in developing mathematics teaching material model based on problem-solving. The product was developed through trials on postgraduate students from faculty of teacher training and education university of Bengkulu as the subjects. The data collection instruments were documents, questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests. Furthermore, the data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed mathematics teaching material model based on problem-solving was valid and practice.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) melalui empat tahapan, yaitu; perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Dari hasil tes evaluasi pada penelitian siklus I, diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 46,4. Pada siklus II, diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 56,1. Pada siklus III, diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas siswa sebesar 72,4. Persentase awal minat belajar siswa sebesar 35,00%. Setelah dilakukan tindakan, persentase minat belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 43,83 %, pada siklus II sebesar 55,44%, dan pada siklus III sebesar 84,07%. The analyzed textbooks emphasized the insertion of four aspects of the nature of science (NOS), consisting of science as a body of knowledge, science as a way of investigating; science as a way of thinking; and science and its interaction with technology and society. The content analyzed is the subject matter in the odd semester. The raters consisted of one physics lecturer (rater 1) and two teachers (rater 2 and 3). The raters used the scoring rubric developed by the researchers based on indicators from the four aspects of NOS. The results stated that Erlangga's Textbook inserted (a) the first 58.46% of the NOS aspects; (b) 26.28% second aspect of NOS; (c) 31.78% of the third aspect of NOS; and (c) 16.86% of the fourth aspect of NOS. Also, the results in Yudhistira's book revealed that (a) the first 49.55% of the NOS aspects; (b) 13.88% second aspect of NOS; (c) 24.55% third aspect of NOS; and (d) 12.01% of the fourth aspect of NOS. The percentage of inter-rater agreements ranged from 70-88%. The percent agreement strengthens with the interval of kappa value from 0.60 to 0.88. The results indicated that the two books devoted half of the learning material that reflected science as a body of knowledge but neglected science as a way of investigating, and science and its interaction with technology and society.

Six validators participated in invalidating content validity, graphical validity, and language validity. The data were analyzed using the Aiken V and Inter-rater reliability.
