Basically, we analyze this growth process using both the continuous and the discrete logistic equation, appropriately modified for the purpose. The continuous age-dependent model suggests the possibilities in which there may be increase, loss or weight gain. In the discrete case, there is a Hopf bifurcation for the maximum sustainable weight above which a chaotic dynamic occur. Also, we observed that the maximum sustainable rate at which individuals can loose weight is proportional to the intrinsic rate of weight increase. A comparison of the simulation results to real data is given, together with the graphical representations.

The study focuses on the effect of changing the number of ants in the algorithm behavior rather than find the optimum number. The factors investigated in this study are algorithm execution time, best solution, pheromones accumulative, pheromone dispersion, and the number of new solutions found by the ants. The experiment was conducted using travelling salesman problem to investigate those factors. The results show that the number of ants changes the algorithm behavior dramatically. Therefore, tuning the parameter number of ants in ant colony system could be easier by applying the min and max number of ants recommended in this study.

However, previous studies have failed to identify the roles played by antecedents of broadband user behavioural intention in the rural communities. Thus, this research investigates roles of some antecedents of broadband user behavioural intention in the rural areas by adapting UTAUT model. A quantitative research approach was employed by engaging 1,730 participants from 40 villages who are secondary school students that are living in rural areas of northern region of Malaysia. The result reveals that performance expectancy, effort expectancy and compatibility have large effect on broadband user behavioural intention in the rural areas, while social influence recorded medium effect. This implies that all the identified factors may help in determining the behavioural intention of users of broadband in the rural areas.

Such activities require organizations to be agile and make frequent and strategic, tactical, and operational decisions. Making such decision may require considerable amounts of timely and relevant data, information, and knowledge. Every semester university admits new students; they do subject them to medical screening which sometimes includes the staffs and returning students. However, the results of the medical test from the laboratory technologists and the doctors, such as patient diagnosis, treatment and medical prescription are currently kept in the health center data repository for record purposes without being further explored for their managerial activities. Therefore, this paper applies Business Intelligence (BI) method for exploring the university health center database repository. The data warehouse was built for the...

There is no exception in the rural areas of northern region of Malaysia as their rate of development is quite low when compared with the rest of the regions in Malaysia, causing backwardness or stagnant in the usage of broadband. Therefore, this research intends to examine the fitness of UTAUT model on the broadband continuous usage in the rural areas. A quantitative survey technique is employed by distributing 200 questionnaires to secondary school students that are residing in the rural areas of northern region of Malaysia. The result shows that UTAUT model is best fit in determining continuous usage of broadband in the rural areas.

Users’ Authentication (UA) remains the most viable system for fraud management globally. The conventional Users’Authentication (UA) utilizes the biometrics and authentication of an attendance system such as GPS, RFID and therefore identified with certain limitations. Therefore, this study integrated biometrics, authentication of attendance system, national identity database (NID) and or Bank Verification Number (BVN) as a framework for financial management in the public sector. A system-to-system integration approach will be adopted to reduce human interference and errors. Verification and authentication of each users biometrics from the NID / BVN will serves as the major input parameters. The collection of daily biometric data of attendance will be passed to central payroll application which in turn forms the output of the model at the end of the month. The integration of biometric authentication of attendance system, National Identity Database and BVN can provide a more reliable and effective framework for the management of financial leakages in public sector. The developed framework is therefore recommended for use in public sector.

Knowing the perception of student's towards learning of innovative skills would assist the management and teachers on the appropriate approach for teaching. However, there has been less or no research that focuses on bringing the perception of students towards the learning of innovative skills into reality prior to the commencement of teaching. Therefore, a Multi Dimensional Visualization system is proposed in this research to reveal the level of perception of students towards learning of innovative skills in university set up by adapted Expectation Confirmation Model. An experiment was conducted by engaging 200 undergraduate students within the university campus so as to measure their level of perception towards learning of innovative skills using the proposed system. A measurement model analytical technique from the perspective of Partial Least Square of Structural Equation Model was used to confirm the reliability and validity of the proposed system, while the result shows high accuracy. This research gives useful hints for the university's management by obtaining the perception of student prior to learning of innovative skills.
