The advent of information technology poses a considerable impact in the educational systems. The ... more The advent of information technology poses a considerable impact in the educational systems. The creations of computerized systems have helped improve time-consuming, repetitive and laborious data processing activities like test scoring, grade computation and student records management. Academic performance is commonly measured by examinations or continuous assessment. Generally, there is no general agreement on how it is best tested or which aspects are most important-procedural knowledge such as skills or declarative knowledge such as facts. Being the outcome of education, academic performance is the extent to which a student, a teacher or an institution has achieved educational goals. This study focused on the design and development of a computerized system of monitoring the academic performance of each student enrolled in Quirino State University from the time the student is admitted until he finishes the course enrolled. In this study, a descriptive method was used to gather relevant facts and information to achieve the objectives in a floated questionnaire. Developmental research was also utilized to systematically design, develop, and evaluate the software needed to monitor the academic performance of the students. Rapid Application Development (RAD) was used to design the project following the ISO/IEC 25023 software quality standards, thus, giving the researcher an opportunity to capture the features of the system from the perspective of the end-users. RAD utilizes structured, prototyping, and Joint Application Development (JAD) techniques to rapidly develop systems. The extent of compliance of the developed system to the ISO 25023 software quality standards was measured using the five-point Likert scale. IT experts and end users evaluate the developed system to ISO 25023 Software Quality Standards in terms of appropriateness recognizability, learnability, operability, user error protection and user interface aesthetics to a very great extent and therefore, ready for deployment and implementation.

Before, the major concern for the Institutions were the decrease in the student success rate, decrease in retention of students, increase in students moving to other competitive institution and lack of counseling to students in subject selection. However, with education becoming more and more employment oriented, employment of students, graduating from any institution has become a major factor in building the reputation of the institution and hence, a major concern. The students' employability is a major concern for the institutions offering higher education and a method for early prediction of employability of the students is always desirable to take timely action. Development of information systems increases the productivity, accuracy and accessibility of performing transactions in organizations. Since almost all business transactions are being done online these days, web applications are now being developed and implemented in organizations including the academe. Tracer study is crucial for universities to examine the competitiveness of their curriculums in the real world. Being one of the prominent universities in Region 02, the Quirino State University recognize the need of an integrated tracer study in order to maintain the competitiveness of their curriculum to address stakeholder's needs. The institution is undertaking on tracing its alumni in which it is manually done and the remedy will aid the tracing of the alumni by having a computerization in storing and retrieving alumni information and in order to collect and provide communication to their alumni. It is for these reasons that the researcher proposed a dynamic alumni analytics and mining system to secure the information of every alumni and to be able to determine the employability of graduates. This study was also proposed to establish that status of graduates is highly regarded, and it is the greatest concern of the university. Without constant communication to its alumni and the lack of tracer instruments, the university may fail to keep track of their status and fail to determine the rate of employability.

Computerized systems have aided in the advancement of time-consuming, repetitive, and labor-intensive data processing tasks such as test scoring, grade computation, and student record management. Quirino State University has structured a LAN-based system called Student Information and Accounting System (SIAS), which enhances data processing processes by providing a faster and more effective way of student and accounting records administration.
This automates enrolment, fee assessment, and grade posting for students. This research focuses on online grade posting and checking, with a feature for parents who wish to monitor their children's grades at any time and from any location.
