Research paper thumbnail of A new design method for continuous Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy controller with pole placement constraints: an LMI approach

1997 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics. Computational Cybernetics and Simulation

Abstract A new design method for TS fuzzy controller which guarantees global asymptotic stability... more Abstract A new design method for TS fuzzy controller which guarantees global asymptotic stability and satisfies a desired performance is proposed in this paper. The method uses the LMI approach to find the common symmetric positive definite matrix P and feedback gains K i, i= 1, 2,..., r, numerically. The LMIs for the stability criterion which treats P and K is as matrix variables is derived from Wang et al.'s (1995) stability criterion. Wang et al.'s stability criterion uses nonlinear MIs since P and K is are coupled together. The desired ...

Whilst most papillomas will regress spontaneously, some may persist or undergo malignant transformation. In this study, aggressive, persistent and extensive warts were observed on the hands and feet of a cynomolgus macaque (Macaca fascicularis). The presence of PV in the wart biopsies was identified by immunohistochemistry and PCR amplification of PV DNA. The genomic DNA of this PV was cloned and sequenced, and the PV was designated M. fascicularis papillomavirus type 1 (MfPV-1). Its genome was 7588 bp in length and the organization of its putative open reading frames (E1, E2, E6, E7, L1, L2 and E4) was similar to that of other PVs. MfPV-1 had a short non-coding region (NCR) of 412 bp. Molecular analysis of MfPV-1 genomic DNA classified it into the genus Betapapillomavirus, to which all epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV)-type PVs belong. Disease...

In the proposed control algorithm, the redundancy is resolved at the torque level by locally minimizing joint torque, subject to an operational space dynamic formulation which maps the joint torque set into the operational forces. For a given pre-impact

She received a liver transplant after native hepatectomy. However, due to positive crossmatch, she could not receive a kidney from that donor. After transplantation, following serial serum oxalate levels, the hemodialysis regimen was safely reduced from 4 h daily to 3 h three times weekly. Over the course of 6 weeks after liver transplantation, her livedo reticularis resolved, the ischemic ulcers markedly improved, she was weaned off all pain medications, and her erythropoietin-resistant anemia resolved. Our results suggest that in patients with primary hyperoxaluria type 1, who have receive...
