In this paper a general procedure is suggested for estimating the resonant frequency of circular microstrip patch antenna using artificial neural networks. The method of moments (MOM) based IE3D software was used to generate data dictionary for training and validation set of ANN. The proposed technique uses multilayer feed-forward back-propagation artificial neural network with one hidden layers for estimating the resonant frequency of a circular microstrip antenna. A relative performance of the different training algorithms is carried out for estimating the resonant frequency with particular attention paid to the speed of computation and accuracy achieved. This type of performance comparison has not been attempted so far.

They may range from natural diets, herbal products to genetically engineered foods and processed products such as cereals, soups and beverages. Biofortified crops have been considered as a complementary strategy for delivering nutrition to malnourished populations. Dairy products that contain probiotic organisms such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium species represent a new research area which improves gut health by modulating gut microbial composition. The ability of nutraceuticals to influence chronic diseases like diabetes, different types of cancers, etc. should be recognized as an enormous opportunity in their treatment. They will play important role in future therapeutic developments. In this review, an attempt has been made to discuss history, classification, commercial products and regulations of nutraceuticals.

Human activities such as mill tailings, nuclear industry, coalcombustion and the use of phosphate fertilizers can also alter the natural composition of groundwater. Uranium through water transferred to the human food chain and its ingestion and inhalation causes many health problems. Manybioindicators are used to predict the path and durationof uranium remain in the body, which permits the risks calculation to specific tissues, organs as well as the whole body. So, a combination of both biological and non-biological methods seems to be the most promising way to efficiently remediate the uranium from groundwater.Hydrogeologists increasinglyrely on bioremediation of contaminated groundwaterbased on immobilization of the metal by bioreduction or biosorption. This review deals with the trafficking, prevention and possible remediation of uranium from groundwater.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 84 million people will die of cancer between 2005 and 2015 without intervention. Research suggests that one-third of cancer deaths can be avoided through prevention. Major cancer treatment modalities are surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Radiation therapy is an important cancer treatment method and is used for approximately 50% of all cancer patients with varying success. Therapy uses high-energy waves or particles to destroy cancer cells. It can be used basically for three main reasons: to achieve high radiation dose into tumors; minimizing dose into surrounding normal tissues; to avoid complications as far as possible. The recent advances in this treatment method have led to the improvement in cancer death statistics. It can also be combined with surgery or chemotherapy for better results. This review covers general applications, various side effects/agents and factors affecting to get rid of these effects and strategies to improve radiation therapy.

Production of CMCase using different agricultural byproducts such as coconut seed meal, sesame seed meal, cotton seed meal, mustard seed meal, maize bran and wheat bran was studied with Bacillus sphaericus JS1 (MTCC Accession No 3243). It worked best at pH 7.0 in the presence of 12h seed culture of 6.0% (v/v) for the production of CMCase at 40 o C. ≥85% of relative activity of enzyme was produced in the range of pH 7-9. Coconut seed meal media worked best at all experimental concentrations (142, 158, 142, 158% relative activity at 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.0% w/v respectively) for the production of enzyme. Sesame seed meal media reported marginally higher production of enzyme (110, 135, 110, 105% relative activity at 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.0% w/v respectively) as compared to control. Cotton seed meal media observed higher production of CMCase (119, 131% relative activity at 0.50 and 0.75% w/v respectively). Coconut seed meal, cotton seed meal and sesame seed meal worked better for the production of CMCase than the branded chemicals/control media. Optimum production of JS1 CMCase can be achieved by utilizing agriculture byproducts at cost effective rates at large scale.
