By understanding the activities to be developed in a work place one may understand what should be necessary to a good development, thereafter a search for improvement of labor activity with the aim of better use of resources in the operation of product use may be done. The analysis of the incremental variation of noise in professional chairs aims to identify its origin and the time the emission of noise starts during the period of use, its development and the major causative agents. Determining the characteristics of the sound of different materials and adjustments mechanisms of the chair can determine how different materials interact with each other. The measurement of these noises in an acoustic isolated room using directional microphones, if recorded and analyzed properly ma...

This condition represents a limiting factor in terms of national competitiveness. The purpose of this article is to study the variables related to the quality of roads in Brazil, the interrelation of its multiple stressors and their impact on society. The act of driving is a task of monitoring and multiple occupational stressors for professional drivers. The diversity of these worries has direct implications on the work conditions, also affecting health and the security of the system – system fails, or the called “human error”. The cognitive overload required in national roads, due to the diversity of incognitos caused by the lack of structure and conservation, significantly contributes to the occurrence of accidents. Old trucks, poorly maintained highways, desperate drivers and the lack of supervision are the ingredients of a chaotic situation. Although only 12.0% of the national highways are paved, a significant portion of this amount (Federal, Transit State, State and Municipal highways) presents serious problems of quality and safety. The accidents registered only in 2016, on the federal highways audited, resulted in a cost of US $ 3.02 billion for the country. The poor quality of the roads burdens the cost of operation and compromise the safety and health of society as a whole.

A new paradigm emerges around automobiles: People's expectations regarding transport and mobility... more A new paradigm emerges around automobiles: People's expectations regarding transport and mobility are changing. New ways of interacting and relating to the vehicle emerged. This is mainly due to the significant increase of imbedded technology and connectivity as well as the updating of ADAS systems increasingly present in vehicles. In this context, automotive design needs to be rethinked. In this way, car and transport users in general are being impacted and the automotive industry is being forced to revise its business model. This new scenario highlights the importance of areas such as ergonomics and user experience, essentials for automakers to invest in new projects development. Vehicle ergonomics needs to adapt to these new needs of industries and user, aiming at future trends: connectivity and interaction. How to design vehicle's interiors that are more and adapted to the new demands of both, automotive industry and market and provide a better customer experience of these vehicles? The purpose of this article is to demonstrate a macro vision of how the relation of materials, finishes and technologies influence the experience inside a vehicle. Although there is a consolidated understanding of vehicle ergonomics and user experience, the introduction of this knowledge into industrial activities should be further explored and partnerships with universities and the industry should be encouraged so that automakers can be prepared for this new paradigm where transportation becomes a service.
The Trucks as the Main Tool in the Cargo Transport in Brazil: The Driver’s Health Impacts and the Sustainable Developments

However, with an unbalanced politics, the highway transport overlapped the other systems, representing nowadays more than 60.0% of the products transported in the country. This trend made an overload of the highway grid, creating serious negative impacts directly to the truck drivers and indirectly to the society. The difficulties to buy a modern and efficient truck, considering ergonomics facts, performance of the engine and fuel consumption, are, undoubtedly, an obstacle for the improvement of the working conditions. Besides this, there is the violence along the highways which represents a loss factor for the purchasing power of this professional, in addition to the high stress levels. The content submitted are the results of a study guided by a descriptive scientific methodology structured on the following levels: references analysis and crossing information about the market...

These conditions have forced the implementation of new mobility concepts, in which incipient complex structures feature in urban centers. Brazil relies on, primarily, the individual transport through the road/car pair, contradicting the strategic world thinking, in which prevails the intermodal system of transportation. The purpose is analyzing the capital’s transport system, under the macro ergonomic and service design perspective (its organization and physical/psychological impacts on the population). Thus, considering the present situation of Belo Horizonte city, we noted that just implementing new vehicles (MICRO approach) won’t solve the problem, because it doesn’t integrate the urban mobility global system (MACRO approach) – interconnect, in an efficient and safe way, the point of departure to the destiny. Structural characterization of the extract was done by FTIR. The aim of the present work was the developement and characterization of biodegradable colored films based on poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) by using annatto colorant. The annatto content in the films was varied from 0.2 to 3.0% (w/w). The lightfastness of colored films when exposed to UVA radiation was controlled by using RGB color system. In color image processing, a pixel is often defined by three values corresponding to the tristimuli R (Red), G (Green) and B (Blue). With the addition of the annatto colorant, photodegradation of films under UVA exposure seemed to be improved. The good thermal stability of the colored film with 3.0% (w/w) of annatto colorant was confirmed by thermogravimetric analysis. Surface morphology of the colored film with 3.0% (w/w) of annatto colorant was examined by SEM prior and after 240 h of UVA exposure. The SEM micrographs suggested that annatto colorant has acted as hiding agent, reducing the photodegradation processes.

The work was conducted from existing preforms and focused on the design process of the bottles, approach in which the available literature is scarce or nonexistent. The design of a bottle was executed, applied and validated through parametric computer aided design software and finite elements method analysis, allowing the simulation of the blowing process from data input to the process variables listed in the available literature. Using this approach, we simulate the blowing process and the mechanical demands related to the application with the aim of assessing the efficiency of packaging design and enable an efficient and correct sizing of the bottles. The data obtained in simulations were verified by the fabrication of prototypes using the same material, preform and process data considered in the virtual environment. The results indicate the feasibility of producing 500 mL bottles for carbonated soft drinks from 18 g preforms, with a reduction of up to 21% on weight of the packaging, keeping the standard bottle finish PCO-1810-28 mm.

The answer to it was 1.000 cc engine cars which are called popular cars in Brazil. Nowadays, this segment represents over 50.0% of the Brazilian fleet. Economical issues are the major concern in the Brazilian market, rather than attributes like safety, comfort and energetic efficiency, project quality, production, etc. This paper presents the results of an analysis developed over the principal popular national car, with the focus on ergonomics application in its interior and its impact on the general quality of the product.
