Gabbay and Moravscik's "range of incompatibles" is provided by the translation rules in a natural way, not only for the basic elements of the grammar, but for any number of constituents of the sentence, of any category. Semantic effects of stressing quantifiers in subject and in object 'position are considered.

Systems have been developed and implemented on SUN workstations in C and in PRO LOG on UNIX, providing a structure of modules and a communication layer for combined (multimodal) interfaces. mS-QUE, Deictic Interaction System-Query Environment, show two of these applications allowing natural language queries combined with graphical selection (deictic actions) on forms and technical drafts. Seen from the human factors-, the linguistics-, and (to a certain extend) from the graphics point of view this kind of combined interaction is an interesting interaction improvement.

It is the book form of a terminological database which was compiled within the frame of an ESPRIT project. The dictionary contains about 2300 terms of the special language domain of information technology with a particular focus on the terminology of communication systems and office automation. Each term is listed in six languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Dutch. In addition to the different languages, definitions are included in English for some of the more common terms, as well as frequently-used abbreviations and acronyms; synonyms are indicated by cross-references. The terms are listed in alphabetical order, the equivalents in the other languages, the definitions, abbreviations, acronyms and synonym indications are listed behind the English term to which they belong. With the help of cross-references existing synonyms are indicated for each entry. Separate indices exist for each of the other languages and for the abbreviations, making the dictionary suitable for diverse multilingual purposes. The material was in part collected by interviewing experts in their native languages, so making it possible to include recent terminology, keeping track of the fast development in this special field. The extensive coverage of recent terms, abbreviations, acronyms and synonyms in six languages makes the dictionary especially useful for organizations which are active in a multinational and multilingual environment.

in the formalization of the supposed deep-structure of Russian sentences in which the
aspects occur. We will see that, assuming certain expressions for the representation of
the perfective and the imperfective, the consequences that are generally felt to be
implied by these aspects in spoken Russian, can be inferred, assuming the axioms for
linear and dense time. The semantical relations between the imperfective and the
perfective aspect become more clear.
