Dentre os objetivos, pode-se destacar a abordagem para saúde e bem-estar, apresentando o propósito de assegurar uma vida saudável e promover o bem-estar para todos. O projeto de Extensão de “Desenvolvimento de ações sustentáveis com crianças e adolescentes de Instituição de Ensino do município de Seropédica”, definiu como objetivo divulgar assuntos relacionados com a saúde, sustentabilidade e Covid-19 por meios de cards e vídeos, evidenciando a importância de utilizar as mídias sociais como uma ferramenta para a propagação de conhecimento. The evolution of Disaster Management toward Disaster Risk Management demonstrates the importance ... more The evolution of Disaster Management toward Disaster Risk Management demonstrates the importance of actions that eliminate or reduce risks in cities compared to the practices of response actions in times of crisis. The Military Firefighters Corps of Minas Gerais has an important initiative to reduce the risk of disasters in communities: the NAC-NUDEC Project, which stands out for disseminating the culture of prevention and self-protection, in addition to sensitizing people about the risks and encouraging social mobilization. This work sought to verify whether the expansion of the project in the state of Minas Gerais could benefit more cities and citizens, evaluating the profile of municipalities surveyed by a firefighter battalion through the establishment of a risk matrix for disasters related to rain. The results showed that Uberlândia, Ipatinga, and Juiz de Fora are the cities that benefit most from the implementation of the NAC-NUDEC.

Neste texto apresentamos dois estudos de caso realizados com estudantes cegos, com vistas a discu... more Neste texto apresentamos dois estudos de caso realizados com estudantes cegos, com vistas a discutir atividades em uma perspectiva inclusiva. Foram, nesse sentido, propostas questões a serem resolvidas com esses alunos com auxílio de recursos materiais que fazem uso de sentidos diferentes-tais como o tato, o olfato e a visão-uma vez que se objetiva que as atividades possam ser desenvolvidas junto a estudantes cegos e videntes. Os estudos de caso referem-se a conteúdos matemáticos-Combinatória e Probabilidade-que nem sempre têm sido adequadamente trabalhados no Ensino Fundamental, mas que defendemos como essenciais ao desenvolvimento do raciocínio matemático. Os resultados indicam que a linguagem, aliada à exploração sensorial, permitem que o estudante com deficiência visual obtenha informações necessárias à formação de conceitos e que os recursos utilizados possibilitam a formação de conceitos combinatórios e probabilísticos.

A escola torna-se palco para a reflexão sobre as relações étnico-raciais, a construção e/ou desconstrução de um conceito de negro/ sociedade.

Various beneficial biological activities have been reported for passion fruit (Passiflora edulis)... more Various beneficial biological activities have been reported for passion fruit (Passiflora edulis), grown in tropical and subtropical regions. However, no study has yet demonstrated its action against the Zika virus (ZIKV) infection. The present study aimed to investigate the anti-ZIKV of the ethanolic passion fruit seed extract (PFSE), from which, liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) analysis allowed to putatively annotate the occurrence of piceatannol, astringin, scirpusin A, scirpusin B, isookanin-7-O-glucoside and naringenin-7-O-glucoside, two quadranguloside derivatives, tyrosine, and phenylalanine. PFSE is well tolerated by cell lines (Vero E6 and HTR-8/SVneo) and tissue explants from the human placenta. With 1- and 24-h treatments, PFSE consistently reduced the viral load and NS1 protein expression of the two strains of ZIKV (MR766 and PE243) in placental explants and cell lines. This is a qualitative study aiming to examine the meanings that violence takes and the ways it ma... more This is a qualitative study aiming to examine the meanings that violence takes and the ways it manifests its cause from statements of employees of a public school in a municipality of Minas Gerais. Regarding the causes, respondents inferred the relationship with the teacher, family, absence/lack of reasons; conflict generated outside the school environment as possible predictors of the phenomenon. Perched on protagonization to school violence, the approach focused mostly the social condition of the individual. It is concluded that violence is multifactorial in origin, but the school is a source of privileged mediation of violence as it is in this environment that dissonance in the system reveals the forwarding the reproduction of inequalities. Its inclusive and democratic mission is not accompanied by social demand, thus, what is evident is an environment of segregation and exclusion to the other. RESUMO Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo cujo objetivo é analisar os significados que a violência... more RESUMO Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo cujo objetivo é analisar os significados que a violência assume bem como as formas como manifesta sua causa a partir de depoimentos de funcionários de uma escola pública de um município mineiro. No que tange as causas, os entrevistados inferiram a relação com o professor; família; ausência/desconhecimento de motivos; conflito gerado fora do ambiente escolar como possíveis preditores do fenômeno. Debruçada na protagonização que dispõe a violência escolar, a abordagem dispôs, em sua maioria, à condição social do indivíduo. Conclui-se que a violência tem origem multifatorial, mas que a escola constitui fonte privilegiada de mediação da violência visto que é neste ambiente que se revela a dissonância no sistema remetendo a reprodução de desigualdades. Sua missão de ser democrática e inclusiva não é acompanhada pela demanda social, assim, o que se evidencia é um ambiente de segregação e exclusão ao outro. The objective of the study is to analyze how tourism demand impacts, in the sustainable Inca infr... more The objective of the study is to analyze how tourism demand impacts, in the sustainable Inca infrastructure of Ollantaytambo in Cusco during 2020 in COVID-19. Based on bibliographic reviews presented in other research, regulations, and registration of updated data from the last 10 years in the tourism sector, such as the registration of visitors, flights, and others. There was relying on GIS tools to determine its location and accessibility. For its development, there were stages of recognition and description of the study area, characterization of the physical and demographic aspects, analysis of the data collected and tourist demand, and identifying the impacts from COVID-19. It was found that By 2020, a considerable increase in the tourist demand of Ollantaytambo was expected. However, the repercussion caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the visitor registration in Ollantaytambo fell by 73% compared to 2019 and flights fell by 71, 7%, thus concluding that tourism has had a significant drop, with uncertain prognostic. A change in the current tourist dynamics allows controlling the capacity, respecting the spaces, taking care of the visitor, and generating a greater organization for developing the tourist activity.

A responsabilidade social empresarial (RSE) é um conjunto de políticas e ações que as empresas ad... more A responsabilidade social empresarial (RSE) é um conjunto de políticas e ações que as empresas adotam voluntariamente para contribuir com a sociedade, e essas ações podem ocorrer através das organizações da sociedade civil (OSCs), as quais fazem parte do chamado terceiro setor. O objetivo deste estudo consiste em analisar a contribuição das ações da RSE para as práticas das OSCs situadas nas quatro maiores cidades da região norte do Rio Grande do Sul. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa e exploratória sob a abordagem de estudo de casos múltiplos, aplicados a 14 organizações da sociedade civil e 11 empresas do setor privado que contribuem com essas OSCs. Os principais resultados destacam que o terceiro setor e as empresas entendem que desempenham atividades que seriam do Estado, as quais contribuem significativamente para o desenvolvimento regional. The aim of this paper was to identify inherent aspects of nursing care contributions in the defense of the right to health of children and adolescents. This is an integrative literature review performed on LILACS and PubMed data bases, in journals that were published between 2010 to 2015 in Portuguese, English or Spanish languages, using the keywords: child and adolescent’s defense and nursing. Ten scientific published papers were selected and analyzed. The results point the importance of identifying situations on vulnerabilities and violations of the rights and the actions for child and adolescent’s defense. Studies indicate that nurses have possibilities and potentialities to perform health advocacy actions. We recorded through focal observation mutualistic interactions with floral and frugivorous visitors and 11 individuals of the threatened Euterpe edulis palm in Brazil. We thus provide two datasets, one about interactions with floral visitors (Pollination data.xlsx) and other about interactions with frugivorous visitors (Seed dispersal data.xlsx). Both datasets are structured in eight spreadsheets: Two about observed interactions among Euterpe edulis palm and floral and frugivorous visitors; two response variables (frequency and assembly composition); four predictor variables (conspecific aggregation, basal area, number of rachillae/fruits, flower in anthesis/ripe fruits). The present study aimed to identify evidence available in the health literature concerning the im... more The present study aimed to identify evidence available in the health literature concerning the immunization of hospitalized children. This is a descriptive study based on an integrative literature review. Nine scientific papers published between 2001 and 2013 were analyzed. The results were organized into three themes: opportunities to vaccinate hospitalized children; factors against immunizing hospitalized children; and strategies and interventions to improve child vaccination coverage. Hospitalization is an opportunity to identify factors related to why parents do not vaccinate their children and then implement strategies, such as educational interventions, records-updating, immunization reminders, and providing guidance after hospital discharge.

Jaqueline Santos , Harvard University, Youth and Hip Hop This panel examines racial politics in Brazil focusing on the local impact of race in specific locales such as Belo Horizonte and the global impact of race and blackness. There have been continuous exchanges of Diasporic notions of blackness between the United States and Brazil in music as well as constant interactions between African descendants in both countries. Gladys Mitchell-Walthour focuses on the historical and contemporary intellectual flow of knowledge between African descendants in both countries and how these exchanges impact the study of racial politics in Brazil. Lucio Oliveira examines the role of American soul and funk music, which was listened to and transformed by African-descendants in Brazil during the Brazilian military dictatorship. Jaqueline Santos examines the Hip Hop movement in the United States and Brazil and how it has impacted black youth. We recorded through focal observation mutualistic interactions with floral and frugivorous visitors and 11 individuals of the threatened Euterpe edulis palm in Brazil. We thus provide two datasets, one about interactions with floral visitors (Pollination data.xlsx) and other about interactions with frugivorous visitors (Seed dispersal data.xlsx). Both datasets are structured in eight spreadsheets: Two about observed interactions among Euterpe edulis palm and floral and frugivorous visitors; two response variables (frequency and assembly composition); four predictor variables (conspecific aggregation, basal area, number of rachillae/fruits, flower in anthesis/ripe fruits). The present study aimed to identify evidence available in the health literature concerning the im... more The present study aimed to identify evidence available in the health literature concerning the immunization of hospitalized children. This is a descriptive study based on an integrative literature review. Nine scientific papers published between 2001 and 2013 were analyzed. The results were organized into three themes: opportunities to vaccinate hospitalized children; factors against immunizing hospitalized children; and strategies and interventions to improve child vaccination coverage. Hospitalization is an opportunity to identify factors related to why parents do not vaccinate their children and then implement strategies, such as educational interventions, records-updating, immunization reminders, and providing guidance after hospital discharge.

Jaqueline Santos , Harvard University, Youth and Hip Hop This panel examines racial politics in Brazil focusing on the local impact of race in specific locales such as Belo Horizonte and the global impact of race and blackness. There have been continuous exchanges of Diasporic notions of blackness between the United States and Brazil in music as well as constant interactions between African descendants in both countries. Gladys Mitchell-Walthour focuses on the historical and contemporary intellectual flow of knowledge between African descendants in both countries and how these exchanges impact the study of racial politics in Brazil. Lucio Oliveira examines the role of American soul and funk music, which was listened to and transformed by African-descendants in Brazil during the Brazilian military dictatorship. Jaqueline Santos examines the Hip Hop movement in the United States and Brazil and how it has impacted black youth. Fabricio Fialho examines the role of race and resources on political activism in Belo Horizonte.
