The present study was conduct to compare the life satisfaction and academic achievement of adoles... more The present study was conduct to compare the life satisfaction and academic achievement of adolescent boys and girls. The sample for the present study consisted of 400 students in which 200 were adolescent boys and 200 were adolescent girls. The investigators used Diener, E., Emmons, R.A., Larsen, R.J., and Griffin, S. Life satisfaction scale to assess the life satisfaction of sample subjects. The previous two years academic achievement served as academic indicator of the sample subjects. The investigator used various statistical techniques viz, mean, S.D., t-test to analyze the data. The statistical data revealed that there is significant difference between adolescent boys and girls on life satisfaction and academic achievement. Adolescent girls were found to have better life satisfaction than adolescent boys and it was also found that adolescent girls were found on higher side on their academic achievement than the adolescent boys.

The specific objectives are: Why ICT Matters in Teacher education; Significance of ICT in the
Contemporary era. What are the uses of ICT in teacher education and to highlight the role and
relevance of ICT in teacher education? Teacher education is seen as a continuous process, beginning
with a phase of initial training and continues throughout the teacher’s professional life through
regular and sustained periods of their services. In the present era of information and technology,
education system has changed to a greater extent which has made teaching learning processes much
easier than earlier times. The complex teacher student relationship has become much easier even if
more demanding in terms of learning through the computer aided learning techniques and methods.
The latest technology of computer aided techniques has lessened the burden of teachers and has
made learning easy and skillful. The use of ICT in teacher education has made teachers to improve
their knowledge and understanding of subjects they have to teach, pedagogy and understanding of
children and their needs and development of skills. UNESCO 2005 has reported that institutions of
teacher education play a vital role in global education community and have the potential to shape the
knowledge and skill of future generations if these institutions are aided by recent information and
communication technologies.

The investigators used Amar Singh and T.R Sharma's Job Satisfaction Scale(JSS). to collect the data randomly from various Govt. and private elementary schools. Some important statistical techniques were used to analyze and interpret the collected data and it was found that there is significant mean difference between rural and urban elementary school teachers further significant difference was found between male and female elementary school teachers.

The investigators have selected 200 specially abled students (100 visually impaired and other 100 orthopedically challenged) students form various govt. degree colleges in Kashmir province. The data was collected by using Dunn and Dunn learning style inventory and Palsane Sharma Study habit inventory by following purposive sampling. The collected data was analyzed by using some statistical techniques. Some of the major findings have been drawn form the present study that there is significant difference between visually impaired and orthopedically challenged college going students on their learning styles and study habits.

The sample subjects were selected randomly from various secondary schools in District Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. The data was collected by using Bells Adjustment Inventory and Amar Singh and T.R Sharma’s job satisfaction scale. The collected data was analysed by using some statistical treatment. It was found that there is no significant mean difference between rural and urban secondary school teaches while comparing on various dimension of personality adjustment and job satisfaction.

The sample for the present study consisted of 600 students in which 300 were undergraduate male students and 300 undergraduate female students. The investigators used Sagar and Sharma self-concept inventory to assess the self concept of sample subjects. The previous two years academic achievement served as academic indicator of the sample subjects. The investigator used various statistical techniques viz, mean, S.D., t-test to analyze the data. The statistical data revealed that there is significant difference between undergraduate male and female students on self-concept and no significance difference was found between male and female undergraduate students on academic achievement. Undergraduate male students were found to have better self concept as compared to their counterparts. Male and female undergraduate students were somewhat similar on academic achievement.

A sample of 200 teachers (100 govt. and 100 Private) were selected randomly from govt. and private secondary schools. The data was collected by using Indian Adaption value scale constructed by N.Y. Reddy. The collected date was analyzed by applying some statistical techniques and some of the important findings have been drawn from the present study. It was found that significant means difference was found between govt. and private secondary school teachers while as no significant means difference was found between male and female govt. and private secondary school teachers.
