The changes in the capital market bring transformation in the entire economy of the country. The boom and depression of the capital market are reflected in all sectors of the economy. The foreign exchange market and the stock market are vital for any well-defined financial system of a country. Stock price downward movement continuously in the market forewarns the crisis period in advance. This study analyses the dynamic relationship between stock market and exchange rate and explores the long-run and short-run causal relationship between the stock market and the exchange rate in India for the major decade 2005-2014 of indices BSE Sensex and Nifty NSE. As US Dollar is a prominent currency for foreign trade, the exchange rate of rupee and US Dollar has been taken for the study. BSE Sensex NSE NIFTY index is a bench marking index that is used to measure the economic development of a country like India. The present study conducted from 2005-2014 for a period of 10 years. Correlation between NSE NIFTY, BSE SENSEX with reference to Exchange Rates can be calculated. This explains about the relationship between the variables

The focus of the authors is to decode the intricate relationship among the selected variables missing in the existing literature. Design/methodology/approach A focused group approach is initiated by the authors to identify the barriers. Total interpretive structural modeling, Matrice d'impacts croisés multiplication appliquée á un classment, that is, matrix multiplication applied to classification and decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory are used to analyze the complex relationships among identified barriers. Findings This study finds that implementation of BCT reduces maintenance cost by withdrawing manual effort, as BCT has better capability to quantify the internal status of the system (observability characteristic). The observability characteristic of BCT provides high compatibility to the system. This study also finds that th...

India and other developing economies are receiving more attention in the context of climate chang... more India and other developing economies are receiving more attention in the context of climate change due to their rapid rates of economic expansion and large populations. In terms of absolute emissions, India surpassed China and the U.S. in 2018 to become the third-largest emitter. Solving this wicked problem calls for climate action across the stakeholder spectrum involving governments, business communities, and citizens. While extant literature has focused significantly on the role of governments and individual perceptions, the business sector needs to be more represented. In this study, we consider business news media as a platform that reflects the industry engagement in climate change and as a source of information on climate change for business decision-makers. Hence, understanding the topic and themes in the nexus of climate and business is important to evaluate the business sector's stance towards climate change and how it has evolved. This work explores business news related to climate change using natural language techniques. We first experiment with three topic-modeling techniques, such as LDA, NMF, and BERTopic, on the business news and two more benchmark news datasets. Our test data is derived from digital news archives of 'The Economic Times-India's leading business news daily. We evaluate the performance based on quantitative metrics commonly used for topic models. We choose the algorithm that provides the highest precision for climate-specific information represented by the test dataset. We then apply the algorithm with the best performance, as evaluated by the experiment, to a large corpus of Indian climate news from E.T. spanning from 2008-2021. We present how different themes, including industry engagement, evolved over the last two decades. The results suggest that climate cooperation has the highest contribution in the corpus, with other themes on resource management, energy and business gaining traction in recent years. INDEX TERMS Climate change, media, topic models, NLP, computational social sciences, experiment.

The winners in the game will be those who fulfill the customer requirements by providing quality services and products using newer technology with maximum possible ease and efficiency. Modern day customers are learned and require their needs to be met in a manner they wish.It is therefore highly imperative that service organizations concentrate their energy towards improving their quality of service. Literally, to be of service means to understand the needs of others, which involve helping, giving and sharing (Lynn et al., 2000). In this regard, the role of emotions in the creation of service experiences has been receiving greater interest in the literature (Wong, 2004). Employees need to manage not only their own emotions, but also to regulate emotions of ...

This model emphasizes the sharing of underutilized goods or service capacity, without transferring the ownership, with the aid of an intermediary, which was widely accepted by the Indian market mainly because of high mobile penetration, high millennial concentration and its aspirational population. Though there are numerous examples of shared economy prevailing in India, this case is on the initiation, hiccups, acceptance, growth, and the pandemic led to sudden blow in the business of Airbnb, the bed and breakfast startup founded by Brian Chesky, Joe Gabberia and Nathan Blecharczyk. Though the young workforce, dominated by millennials and Gen Z generations, acted as a catalyst in the growth of Airbnb, the unanticipated pandemic catapulted the business of Airbnb, invalidating its business mod...
