This work analyses the changes induced on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ultrafi... more This work analyses the changes induced on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ultrafine (0.2 and 0.4 μm) hardmetal grade WC-7wt.% Co by HIP after vacuum sintering. A large HIP pressure (155 MPa) is applied to the ultrafine hardmetal system at different temperatures (1000, 1200 and 1400 °C). The well-known correlation between porosity reduction and fracture strength improvement is confirmed. Residual porosity left after liquid phase sintering is removed more effectively at HIP temperatures above the eutectic point of the alloy (1400 °C). In the absence of grain growth inhibitors, hardness decreases continuously, and WC-Co ultrafine microstructure coarsens as HIP temperature rises. However, for specimens containing VC and Cr3C2 additions, hardness increases as HIP temperature rises from 1200 to 1400 °C. In absence of GGI, hardness decreases continuously as the HIP temperature increases. Dense cermets have been obtained from Ti(C 0.5 , N 0.5)-Mo 2 C-Ni and Ti(C 0.5 , N 0.5)-Mo 2 C-Ni... more Dense cermets have been obtained from Ti(C 0.5 , N 0.5)-Mo 2 C-Ni and Ti(C 0.5 , N 0.5)-Mo 2 C-Ni-TiAl 3 powder mixtures by spark plasma sintering (SPS). The Ti(C 0.5 , N 0.5)-Mo 2 C-Ni alloy presents signiWcant exudation of the liquid phase through the clearance between SPS punches and die. However, this phenomenon is almost negligible for the composition with TiAl 3 additions. These cermets show wide Ti(C, N) grain size distributions with a signiWcant fraction of Ti(C, N) grains in the nanometric range. The binder phase of the cermet with TiAl 3 additions has a crystalline structure similar to that of the Ј phase and a dispersion of (Al, Ti) rich oxides which are the result of "in situ" reduction of powder oxides by Al. The presence of ultraWne Ti(C, N) grains along with the relatively tough behaviour of the binder phase lead to a combination of hardness and toughness (HV10 over 18 GPa and K ICS around 7.5 MPa Fm) close to the range covered by ultraWne WC-Co hardmetals of similar binder content.

Però la seva major difusió es va deure a la fundació de l'orde dels servites o servents de Maria, a partir del segle XIII, dedicats exclusivament a aquesta devoció. Aquest orde religiós neix a Florència el 15 d'agost de 1233. Mentre es trobaven els germans de la Confraria dels Laudenses realitzant els seus exercicis, a set d'ells se'ls aparegué la Verge i els encomanà la creació d'aquest orde, i els féu portar l'hàbit negre i seguir la regla de sant Benet. La fundació fou aprovada pel bisbe de Florència Ardingo entre 1240 i 1247, i va rebre la primera aprovació papal, per Innocenci IV, el 1249; després de la qual van començar la seva expansió per tot Europa, sobretot a Itàlia (-1911, pàg. 12-22). Fruit d'aquesta expansió els servites van arribar a Catalunya, al mateix temps a Barcelona que a València, abans de 1340. Aquesta arribada va portar amb ell un culte concret a la Mare de Déu dels Dolors, que a Girona es va centrar bàsicament a la Catedral, segons estudis de Jaume Marqués. * Aquest article és fruit d'un treball de recerca del Doctorat d'Art Medieval i Modern 1999-2000 de l'UdG, tutoritzat per la doctora M.
