The Thermal InfraRed Sensor (TIRS), an infrared (IR) radiometer developed at Centro de Astrobiolo... more The Thermal InfraRed Sensor (TIRS), an infrared (IR) radiometer developed at Centro de Astrobiologia, is one the sensors that compose the Mars Environmental Dynamics Analyzer (MEDA) onboard NASA's Mars 2020 mission. It will measure the net thermal infrared radiation, reflected solar radiation at the surface, atmosphere temperature and surface skin brightness temperature using five different channels. The present paper provides a brief description on TIRS design and channels requirements. Then, a detailed presentation of sensor model equations and a sensitivity analysis to model uncertainties are included. Finally, accuracy and resolution calculus for each channel versus operational temperature is presented. The calculus is performed based on sensitivity equations and the estimated values for different uncertainties sources.

El objetivo de este trabajo es el conocer el simbolismo que tiene cada uno de los elementos relacionados al canal. Para analizar estos materiales comparamos con otros lugares y cotejamos con documentos arqueologicos e historicos. La importancia de esta investigacion es dar a conocer que el unico lugar donde se tiene la presencia de una escultura de serpiente asociada a un canal y su extension a partir de otras investigaciones en el Barrio de Moyotlan.
We present Helly-type theorems where the convex sets are required to intersect a subset S of R. T... more We present Helly-type theorems where the convex sets are required to intersect a subset S of R. This is a continuation of prior work for S = R, Z, and Zd−k × R (motivated by mixed-integer optimization). We are particularly interested in the case when S has some algebraic structure, in particular when S is a subgroup or the difference between a lattice and some sublattices. We give sharp bounds on the Helly numbers for S in several cases. By abstracting the ingredients of a general method we obtain colorful versions of many monochromatic Hellytype results, including several of our results. In the second part of the article we discuss a notion of S-optimization that generalizes continuous, integral, and mixed-integer optimization and show that two well-known randomized sampling algorithms, Clarkson’s and Calafiore-Campi’s algorithms, can be extended to work with more sophisticated variables over S as long as the S-Helly number h(S) is finite.

El número de tormentas severas (más de 20 mm hr-1 de precipitación) en la cuenca de la ciudad de ... more El número de tormentas severas (más de 20 mm hr-1 de precipitación) en la cuenca de la ciudad de México se ha incrementado en décadas recientes. Varios estudios indican que en algunas partes de la ciudad hay mucha más precipitación que en el pasado. Estos cambios en los regímenes climáticos de la ciudad de México han resultado en mayor riesgo a eventos hidrometeorológicos extremos (fuertes precipitaciones e inundaciones). En el campo de la prevención de desastres, es necesario determinar cuándo ocurre un evento extremo de precipitación. En el presente estudio se define un criterio para determinar un evento de precipitación extrema en la cuenca de la ciudad de México. Usando registros de precipitación de una densa red de pluviómetros, se documentan las características espaciales y temporales de la precipitación. Abstract Promoting healthy eating among children has high priority in Nordic countries but remain... more Abstract Promoting healthy eating among children has high priority in Nordic countries but remains complex. With the purpose of contributing knowledge to inform efforts to promote healthy eating environments in schools, this article explores how children feel and reflect about eating at school and seeks to nuance understandings of how food and eating are situated in school life. The article draws on ethnographic studies carried out at a Danish public sports school following two classes from fifth to seventh grades (age 11–14). By adopting a practice perspective and the analytical concepts of foodscapes and emotional spaces, the article analyses how emotions (affects and feelings), discourses, materialities, and social relations within the school interact. The findings show that many students find eating at school unpleasant. Students want to eat in an un-stressful place away from the gaze of others. They want to eat in “a safe space”, which is difficult to find at school. Students’ accounts reveal how eating at school, intersected by the transitional life-phase of youth, is affected by normativity, control and (self-)discipline, which shape and constrain their eating habits. The article points to the importance of addressing the emotional dimensions of eating in efforts to promote school health.

La displasia ectodermica hipohidrotica es un sindrome congenito caracterizado por hipotricosis (el pelo es escaso, fino y debil, anomalias en la piel y las unas), hipohidrosis (debido a la escasez de glandulas sudoriparas que va a dar lugar a trastornos en la sudoracion) e hipodoncia (ausencia parcial, y en ocasiones total, de dientes en la denticion temporal y/o en la denticion permanente). Se va a exponer el caso de un nino con displasia ectodermica hipohidrotica con oligodoncia y acusada reabsorcion de los procesos alveolares de los maxilares y al que se le ha realizado una rehabilitacion protesica con una protesis removible de acrilico, con la que se ha conseguido una estetica, una funcionalidad y adaptacion excelentes, gracias a lo cual, se ha obtenido una considerable mejora de la autoestima. EnglishEctodermal dysplasias form part of a wide range of syndromes presenting abnormal development of two or more tissues derived from the ectoderm. Hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia is a congenital syndrome, characterized by hypotrichosis (hair is sparse, fine and weak; anomalies in the skin and nails), hypohidrosis (due to the paucity of sweat glands which in turn gives rise to sweat disorders) and hypodontia (partial, and occasionally total, absence of primary and/or permanent dentition). A case of a child with hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia with oligodontia and marked resorption of the maxillary and mandibular alveolar ridges is presented. A prosthetic rehabilitation in the form of a removable acrylic prosthesis was made, achieving excellent esthetics, functionality and adaptation, thanks to which a considerable improvement in self-esteem has been obtained.

Tuberculosis caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, is one of the most infectious diseases at pres... more Tuberculosis caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, is one of the most infectious diseases at present world. The WHO has reported that 14 million people worldwide are infected with active tuberculosis and over 1.7 million deaths occur every year. There are many drugs available in the market for treating tuberculosis, but the emergence of tuberculosis is due to the appearance of Multi Drug Resistance (MDR) against one or more of the 1 st line antimycobacterial drug. Therefore, there is a need to explore and develop newer structural moiety as antitubercular drug. In the present study, 2D and 3D QSAR analysis of a series of 2, 3-substituted quinazolin-4(3H)-one was performed using vLife MDS software package, version 3.5. Various statistically significant models were obtained, from which the most robust model for 2D QSAR with r 2 = 0.82, q 2 = 0.67, F test = 41, pred_r 2 =0.65 values and for 3D QSAR with r 2 = 0.93, q 2 = 0.90, F test = 45, pred_r 2 =0.52 values were obtained. In 2D QSAR, distance based topological like SssOcount and alignment independent topological descriptors such as T_C_N_2, T_O_O_2, T_O_Cl_7 showed significant correlation for antitubercular activity. In 3D QSAR study the positive steric contribution indicates that the bulker group is essential for enhanced biological activity while the negative electronic parameter highlights that an electronegative substitution is essential at 2 and 3-position of quinazolinone ring. The positive contribution of electronic parameter at 6 th position reveals that the bromine atom shall be replaced with hydrogen and iodine to obtain molecules with better activity. The results obtained from 2D and 3D QSAR studies provide useful substitution patterns on the quinazolinone skeleton which may be helpful for the designing of more potent antitubercular agents.

Based on the Lyapunov theory, a control law that achieves the global asymptotic stability of the tracking error between a recurrent neural network and a complex dynamical network is obtained. To illustrate the analytic results we present a tracking simulation of a dynamical network with each node being just one Lorenz´s dynamical system and three identical Chen's dynamical systems.
