The team's goal is to produce videodiscs in a variety of settings within nursing specialties. The current focus is decision making in medical-surgical nursing using the nursing process as the problem-solving model. Interactive video is used to make a smooth, safe transition from theory to practice through the use of simulations.

An e-portfolio is a digitized collection of artifacts including demonstrations, resources, and accomplishments that represent an individual, group, or institution. This collection can be comprised of textbased, graphic, or multimedia elements archived on a Web site or on other electronic media such as a CD-ROM or DVD. An e-portfolio is more than a simple collection—it can also serve as an administrative tool to manage and organize work created with different applications and to control who can see the work. After graduating from high school, Joellen completed one year at her local community college. She and her husband then moved to a different state, and she took some additional courses from a local community college. She also took a college telecourse. She recently decided to matriculate at a fouryear institution in her city. The college has asked for all her prior transcripts, in order to determine how many and which credits will transfer.
