I am a retired Healthcare IT professional. Pursuing a master's in Biblical Studies from South Florida Theological Seminary, in preparation for full-time, evangelical ministry. Taking my next step in obedience to my calling and passion for serving others as exemplified by Jesus Christ and in obedience to His calling on my life. My specific calling is to Men’s ministry.
I am active in my local church, leading and participating in men’s disciple groups and active in ministry with markedmenforchrist.org (MMFC) as staff, part time, in weekend Phase 1 and Phase 2 ministry, and active with my local MMFC local men’s group.

I would like to address this week's discussion item C., the question being: "Ben Witherington doe... more I would like to address this week's discussion item C., the question being: "Ben Witherington does not believe in tithing today. Engage with his material found on pp. 20-23. What comments do you have? I found the logic behind Witherington's position interesting that Christians are not under any biblical obligation to tithe. His arguments to me appear to be: 1) The fact that he notes that "tithing requirements are juxtaposed with requirements as varied as stoning disobedient children, leaving the edge of your grain field for gleaning…, avoiding tattoos…, a host of other commandments that Christians haven't thought about keeping for a long time." (p.21)
