Students are attached to respective industries related to their course of study where they gain practical knowledge about their field of study.
This industrial training report presents the experience garnered during my industrial training undertaken at Tonimas Nigeria Limited (lube oil production plant). My training was on the production of lubricating oil, its processes; the various tests carried out on base oil and blended oil (raw material and finished product respectively) and to a reasonable extent the cost analysis involving formulations for production of the engine oil. During this period, I acquired practical knowledge on how to carry out these tests, its importance and so much more. This report discusses the technical skills gained during the training period and justifying the relevance of the scheme in equipping students with needed technical competence to thrive in the real world.

However COVID-19 outbreak has suddenly impacted our way of life and that of our local, regional and global transportation industry, but this is our moment to use this as an opportunity to future proof our systems to be more flexible, equitable and resilient.
