The research design used quantitative research. The researcher employed a complete sampling approach to choose the sample. A sample of 42 students was chosen for this research. The research conducted pre- and post-tests to collect data. According to the Paired Sample Statistics table, the average student score for the experimental class is equivalent to the post-test results, which are 86.67 points greater than the pre-test result of 64.76. Given that the significance (2-tailed) value is known to be between 0.001 and 0.05, H0 is refused, whereas H1 is approved. The fact that there was a distinction between the pre- and post-tests indicates that employing flashcards to increase vocabulary among seventh-graders at SMP Negeri 2 Toili had an impact.

English is now a popular medium of instruction and a major subject in Cambodia because most higher education institutions (HEIs) have adopted it as a common language for a learning curriculum. However, teaching English effectively has also been a concern in Cambodia because learners are not proficient or fluent in English. Moreover, most English classes have been taught by fresh graduates with little English teaching experience, and some instructors even teach subjects not in their field. Therefore, this study surveyed 265 year-4 TEFL students at three universities by asking them to rate their instructors’ teaching effectiveness. Instructors’ qualifications, content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, pedagogical skills, and personal and interpersonal characteristics are used to examine students’ perceptions of effective TEFL instructors. The study showed higher percentages of students’ positive percepti...

The inclusive education policy is not an exception in this case. This study explores teachers’ beliefs about their capabilities to teach inclusive early childhood education (ECE)classes under the inclusive education policy. This study has conceptualized this belief as inclusive teaching efficacy. A Qualitative approach with a sample of 15 ECE teachers and two educational officers was interviewed using a semi-structured interview guide. Data were analyzed using interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA). The major themes from the analysis reveal interesting insights into teachers' beliefs about their capabilities to handle inclusive ECE classes. Their capabilities were influenced by knowledge, exposure, training, and CPDs, among other emerging themes. This study demonstrates the need to prepare teachers for the implementation of policies or policy changes in Education. Mos...

Despite how vital economics is to society, several factors determine students' choices and interests, among which spatial and numerical abilities are significant. This has led to students’ inability to cope with real-life situations, self-independent, and basic entrepreneurial skills. The paper examined spatial and numerical abilities as correlates of academic achievement in Economics. Four research questions guided the study with three instruments to collect data analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and regression analysis at a 0.05 significance level. The results revealed that the mean of all items is higher than the criterion mean of 0.50. Students had a high level of spatial ability (0.50 < 0.91), but performance in numerical ability was poor (0.50 > 0.43). The relationship...

This research used a quantitative approach using a single pretest and posttest research design. The researcher conducted her research in two classes, one experimental and one control. In the experimental class, there were 28 students, while there were 27 in the control class. The researcher employed pretest and posttest to gather data. Paired sample t-test aided SPSS application version 25 for Windows was used to analyze the data. Based on the findings of this research, it is possible to conclude that (KWL) Know-Want-Learn strategy succeeded in improving the reading comprehension of tenth-grade students at MAN 1 Parigi. This is proven from the paired sample t-test analysis that the significance value (2-tailed) was 0.000 < 0.05, meaning there is a significant distinction within the student learning outcomes for the pretest and post-test.

A quasi-experimental design employed pre-test and post-test assessments as measurement tools. The researcher employed purposive sampling and selected a sample of 40 students. The collected test data were then subjected to analysis using the test of paired samples in the SPSS v. 26 for Windows. The findings from the data analysis using the test of paired samples revealed a significant difference in scores between the pretest and posttest for the experiment class. The computed p-value (two-tailed) was 0.002, which falls below the predetermined significance level of 0.05. Consequently, the hypothesis has been accepted. In summary, Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) has been implemented, and results demonstrate that it has enhanced the reading comprehension skills of SMA Negeri 5 Palu's 10th-grade science students.

Instructors’ qualifications, content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, pedagogical skills, and personal and interpersonal characteristics are used to examine students’ perceptions of effective TEFL instructors. The study showed higher percentages of students’ positive perceptions of the five domains of effective TEFL instructors. The findings are also consistent with the results of previous studies, suggesting that these qualities and characteristics should be must-have criteria for TEFL instructors in higher education. Thus, educational institutions should create certain criteria for selecting qualified university instructors. The findings can help the institutions develop human resources with these quality aspects or elements when selecting effective English language instructors. HEIs can use these criteria based on the results of this study, while TEFL instructors need to develop or improve themselves to have these qualities and other attributes for English teaching.
