The article focuses on the intersections of the regulation of electronic identification as provid... more The article focuses on the intersections of the regulation of electronic identification as provided in the eIDAS Regulation and data protection rules in the European Union. The first part of the article is devoted to the explanation of the basic notions and framework related to the electronic identity in the European Union— the eIDAS Regulation. The second part of the article discusses specific intersections of the eIDAS Regulation with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), specifically scope, the general data protection clause and mainly personal data processing in the context of mutual recognition of electronic identification means. The article aims to discuss the overlapping issues of the regulation of the GDPR and the eIDAS Regulation and provides a further guide for interpretation and implementation of the outcomes in practice.

The presented paper focuses on the analysis of strategic documents at the level of the European U... more The presented paper focuses on the analysis of strategic documents at the level of the European Union (EU) concerning the regulation of artificial intelligence as one of the so-called disruptive technologies. In the first part of the article, we outline the basic terminology. Subsequently, we focus on the summarizing and systemizing of the key documents adopted at the EU level in terms of artificial intelligence regulation. The focus of the paper is devoted to issues of personal data protection and cyber security included in these strategic documents. The final part contains recommendations for future research and evaluation of its key features.

Autor sa v predkladanom príspevku venuje otázke bezpečnosti informačných systémov verejnej správy... more Autor sa v predkladanom príspevku venuje otázke bezpečnosti informačných systémov verejnej správy v zmysle novej legislatívy, ktorá významným spôsobom pozmenila právnu úpravu bezpečnosti informačných systémov verejnej správy. Autor sa v prvom rade zameral na novoprijatý zákon o informačných technológiách verejnej správy, ktorý upravuje problematiku bezpečnosti informačných technológií verejnej správy. Autor príspevku v druhom rade upriamuje pozornosť na bezpečnosť informačných systémov verejnej správy v zmysle zákona o kybernetickej bezpečnosti, podľa ktorého sú informačné systémy verejnej správy zaradené medzi základné služby. V závere autor upriami pozornosť na prepojenie a rozdiely v otázkach bezpečnosti informačných systémov verejnej správy v zmysle zákona o kybernetickej bezpečnosti a zákona o informačných technológiách vo verejnej správe. Autor skúma danú problematiku z pohľadu právneho poriadku Slovenskej republiky.

Summary The author analyses different models of identification and authentication in selected sta... more Summary The author analyses different models of identification and authentication in selected states. First of all, the author explains the reason for choosing countries in question. Secondly, the author briefly analyses fundamental strategic documents and legal acts relating to eGovernment, in particular identification and authentication. In addition, the specific electronic identification means used in selected states will be analyzed. The analyze of different models of identification and authentication in selected states can lead to the identification of differences that arose within the comparison of various models. In the end, the author will summarize positive and negative aspects of analyzed models of identification and authentication. These findings are necessary in order to make a conclusion which electronic identification means could be applied in the Slovak Republic.

V prvých častiach príspevku sú postupne predstavené základné pojmy danej problematiky a načrtnutá právna úprava. Následne sú charakterizované prieniky s právnou úpravou kybernetickej bezpečnosti a ochrany osobných údajov. Osobitný dôraz je kladený na otázku osobnej pôsobnosti a súvisiacej zodpovednosti v oblasti ochrany osobných údajov medzi jednotlivými aktérmi spracúvania osobných údajov v autonómnom vozidle.

The authors analyse legal regulation of comparative advertising that refers to situations when co... more The authors analyse legal regulation of comparative advertising that refers to situations when competitor's goods or services are expressly or by implication identified in any form of advertising. Such an analyse is made from the perspective of European Union, United States and Indian legal orders. In particular, the main focus is on the issue of denigration or disparagement as limitations of comparative advertising permissibility. In addition, significant case law with respect to aspects of denigration or disparagement within issue of comparative advertising is analysed. Such an analysis would lead to identification of differences that arose within comparison of various legal orders and case law. These findings are necessary in order to make a conclusion which approach regarding to the issue in question is the most preferable.

The article focuses on the issue of data governance in connected vehicles through a novel analysi... more The article focuses on the issue of data governance in connected vehicles through a novel analysis of current legal frameworks in the European Union. The analysis of relevant legislation, judicial decisions, and doctrines is supplemented by discussions relating to associated sustainability issues. Relevant notions of autonomous vehicles are analyzed, and a respective legal framework is introduced. Although fully automated vehicles are a matter for the future, the time to regulate is now. The European Union aims to create cooperative, connected, and automated mobility based on cooperation between different interconnected types of machinery. The essence of the system is data flow, as data governance in connected vehicles is one of the most intensively discussed themes nowadays.
