Depletion of developed fields and increased deepwater drilling activity are becoming more common,... more Depletion of developed fields and increased deepwater drilling activity are becoming more common, resulting in the narrowing of the hydraulic window. When we include the commencement of production in these deepwater fields while drilling operations continue, such as in offshore Guyana, not only do we have the challenges inherent to the deepwater environment, we also face the narrowing of the window due to production startup and continuance while drilling operations are ongoing in the same field. The challenges faced in offshore Guyana operations during drilling the reservoir section were two-fold. The initial fluid requirement was for a sag-free nonaqueous fluid (NAF) to withstand well conditions with static periods ranging from 4 to 7 days while running completion screens with zero pipe rotation, slow pump rates, and minimal volume buffer to aid mud weight homogenization, due to circulation paths through the annulus and choke line only. High-temperature, high-pressure (HTHP) describes wells where the bottom hole static temperatures ... more High-temperature, high-pressure (HTHP) describes wells where the bottom hole static temperatures (BHST) are at least 300°F. Such wells are not a new topic these days. For a decade, drilling fluid systems have been able to exceed what was traditionally considered HTHP into the realm of ultra-HTHP, meaning wells where the temperature is greater than 500°F. However, in the US Gulf of Mexico (GOM), Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) defines HTHP as greater than 15,000 psi at the wellhead and greater than 350°F (Nannen 2020). For the first ever HTHP production project in the GOM to receive BSEE approval, reservoir drilling fluid (RDF) formulation was designed for deepwater use. It was formulated to withstand the temperature rigors of an over 350°F BHST. Drilling fluid density is typically provided by dense, homogenously-dispersed, fine solids. Densi... more Drilling fluid density is typically provided by dense, homogenously-dispersed, fine solids. Density fluctuations can occur if solids are no longer homogenously suspended. These fluctuations, commonly termed sag, can affect well integrity and increase the cost to completion. Various sag tendency prediction methods exist, but vary in their ability to provide quick and reliable measurements. This paper will focus on the performance of an innovative technology, the portable dynamic sag flow loop (PDSFL), and compare it to existing technologies and methods. Introduction Drilling fluid performance becomes increasingly critical as a well increases in depth, temperature, or angle. Computational modeling of visual attention has been a research field focused on emulating the beh... more Computational modeling of visual attention has been a research field focused on emulating the behavior of biological visual systems in a given scenario, by using mechanisms developed for fixation prediction or salient region detection. In the literature, different approaches have been presented to emulate the interactions that occur in the early vision system of biological structures. However, mathematical modeling of these systems applying theories related to fractional operators could outperform the existing models. In this paper, we present a fractional bio-inspired filter for salient color detection in natural scenarios, based on the behavior and distribution of the cone photoreceptors cells in the retina. The filter was compared with two classic saliency algorithms over a natural color image dataset in terms of saliency prediction and processing time, using a Similarity (SIM) score and runtime performance, respectively. Our approach reach the second best result in therms of saliency prediction with a 48,9% of SIM with ground truth fixations maps and the fastest time response, with an average time of 0.12 s when processing a high resolution image, being 25% faster than Itti et al. algorithm, one of the most applied in robotic vision tasks.

On the other hand, in the literature, few algorithms have considered datasets with non-context information to modeling attention. Moreover, Visual Attention Models haven’t been well-measured considering both contextless and context-awareness environments. In this paper, we compare some well-known Bottom Up visual attention models performance using contextless and context aware datasets, using the Pearson Correlation Coefficient as a method to assess the efficiency of each Visual Attention Model in terms of accuracy and eye fixations predictions. The best algorithm outperforms the others by reaching 59,1% and 43,8% of correlation with ground truth information in the contextless and context awareness datasets respectively.

Se presenta el desarrollo de una investigacion transeccional de tipo descriptivo, realizada a per... more Se presenta el desarrollo de una investigacion transeccional de tipo descriptivo, realizada a personas con discapacidad cognitiva leve y discapacidad fisica en las siguientes fundaciones: Fundacion Realidades y Suenos, Fundacion Luis Guanella, Frapon, Cenid, Fundacion Nacional Batuta y Fundacion Region Siglo XXI. Con las personas que finalmente permanecieron en el estudio, se realizo un diagnostico del perfil laboral teniendo en cuenta como indicadores de perfil la competencia laboral, que fue medida mediante el estudio del ser, el saber y el hacer con la aplicacion de la prueba 16pf y la prueba estandarizada de terapia ocupacional. Se encontro que la oferta laboral para personas con discapacidad es muy escasa dado que no se verifican como corresponde los requisitos exigidos por las empresas a las que se considero podrian aplicar.

The proposed solution aims to minimize the consumption of electricity and hydrogen; and to increase the lifetime of the fuel cell and energy storage system in a dual mode locomotive. The proposed EMS is based on rules that consider the energy and power densities of the energy sources. The paper proposes a global EMS, local EMS for each source and simulation results for four different speed and power profiles.

DERMATOSCOPIC APPEARANCE On polarized dermatoscopy, there were multiple coiled vessels in a serpiginous arrangement, as well as curved polarizing-specific white lines that were parallel to the serpiginous arrangement of said vessels (Fig 2, A).
