In this work, we design a (PV-Utility-BESS-DG) hybrid system for laptop manufacturing industry (LMI) by performing optimization and investigating the techno-economic possibilities of integrating solar PV within the existing UG and DG network. Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewable (HOMER) is used for analyzing the net present cost (NPC), levelized cost of energy (LCOE), renewable fraction (RF) and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The simulations and sensitivity analysis results indicates that the proposed hybrid system leads to optimal configuration which causes reduction in diesel fuel utilization, DG operating hours, LCOE and GHG emission.

Agricultural practices are influenced by climate change because they rely mainly on climatic factors. This review covers the factors affecting the climate change and explains strategies for the development of adaptation in plants against climate change. Climate affects the agricultural soil by directly by changes in organic carbon transformations and indirectly by cumulative impacts of CO2 along with fertilizer application practices and variable efficiency of Radiation use. Many gases are produced due to burning of fossil fuels; they include methane and oxides of Carbon, sulphur and Nitrogen. Climate change also increases the drought and heat stress for agriculture. These gases mainly come from the use of fertilizer on the agricultural soils, livestock manure, tillage practices, and fossil fuels. Now different stra...

It is always enriched with a background noise known as ambient noise caused by wind, heat, turbulence and some other activities and natural phenomenon. This noise poses considerable hindrances in undersea acoustic communication which is so essential for Oceanographic Monitoring. Oceanographic monitoring covers numerous undersea applications like oceanographic data collection, pollution monitoring, offshore undersea exploration, detect climate changes, seismic monitoring, disaster prevention etc. Exploring the latest statistical characterization trends of Indian Ocean ambient noise in highly spatiotemporal sea environment, we put forward a different approach based on Monte-Carlo simulation method to explore, analyze and verify the empirical data / observations of deep sea ambient noise against its well-known standard Gaussian model in both narrowband and broadband frequency spectrums. Results of variances reveal that the actual ambi...

In metazoans, the available evidence suggests that cellular machinery exists only to execute or avoid programmed cell death, while the ability to form a cyst was either lost or never developed. For cyst-forming free-living protists, here we pose the question whether the ability to encyst was gained at the expense of the programmed cell death or both functions coexist to counter unfavorable environmental conditions with mutually exclusive phenotypes.

UML models are often used to visualize, understand, and communicate the structure and behavior of a system. UML activity diagrams (ADs) are often used to elaborate and visualize individual use cases. Due to their higher level of abstraction and process-oriented perspective, UML ADs are also highly suitable for model-based test generation. In the last two decades, different researchers have used UML ADs for test generation. Despite the growing use of UML ADs for model-based testing, there are currently no comprehensive and unbiased studies on the topic. Objective: To present a comprehensive and unbiased overview of the state-of-the-art on model-based testing using UML ADs. Method: We review and structure the current body of knowledge on model-based testing using UML ADs by performing a systematic mapping study using well-known guidelines. We pose nine research questions, outline our s...

This study was planned to assess pharmacological basis for the medicinal use of Flaxseed in infectious and non-infectious diarrhea. The crude aqueous-methanolic extract of Flaxseed was studied using the in vivo castor oil-induced diarrhea, gut motility and enteropooling assays. Mechanistic basis was further elucidated by testing the inhibitory effect on spontaneously contracting isolated rabbit jejunum preparations, suspended in a 10ml tissue bath containing Tyrode׳ solution, maintained at 37°C and aerated with carbogen. Antibacterial efficacy of the Flaxseed extract was tested against different enteric and non-enteric pathogenic bacteria using in vitro antibacterial assays. Flaxseed extract reduced the diarrheal score in mice, by 39%, 63.90% and 68.34% at the respective doses of 100, 300 and 500mg/kg. Intestinal secretions were reduced by 24.12...

Smart antenna system is a major source to maximize spectral efficiency and capacity of the wireless networks. It consists of an adaptive antenna array that continuously adjusts its radiation characteristics (beam-width of main lobe, side lobe levels and position of nulls) to produce narrow beam in the direction of arrival (DOA) of desired signal and to place nulls in the DOA of interferer signals so that maximum SINR (Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio) is obtained. Smart antennas are becoming more popular now a days due to extensive advancement in the field of digital signal processing and real time implementation of adaptive signal processing techniques on FPGA’s. In this paper we analyze various adaptive beamforming algorithms including LMS (Least Mean Squares), CMA (Constant Mo...
