The paper critically reviews various scholars’ views regarding work-place spirituality by giving deep insight into the theoretical underpinnings of spirituality and distinguishing between spirituality and religion. The review of literature makes the following expositions: first, two main theoretical perspectives namely: the intrinsic-origin view (inner search for meaning) and the existential perspective (search for meaningful life and values), give rise to the hybridized perspective that conceptualizes spirituality on the dimensions of self-transcendence, interconnectedness, sense of purpose, and ultimate concern. The other perspective is the ambit that views spirituality through the lens of spirituality leadership for spiritual survival in the leadership and followership continuum...

The research design used to carry out the study was the cross sectional survey. The sample size of 201employees was determined using the Krejcie and Morgan table. Also, the sampling technique used was the simple random sampling technique. Questionnaires were constructed to measure all the indicators of the conflict management style, and organizational health and these were administered to the respondents in order to extract data for analysis. Multiple regression statistics was used to test the hypotheses. The findings revealed that there is a positive and significant association between collaboration strategy and cohesiveness; also it was revealed from the findings that there is a positive and significant association between collaboration strategy and problem solving. It is then concluded that because the employees of these Federal agencies exhibited the attributes of collaboration strategy, the health of the organization was strengthened. Sequel to the above findings and conclusion, recommendations were made for Managers on the need to educate and train employees on the immense benefits of collaboration strategy on their personal wellbeing and the overall benefits to the health of the organization. Also, Managers and directors in Federal Agencies and by extension all other Federal establishments should strive to encourage their employees to do their best by using the concept of collaboration conflict resolution strategy to enhance their organizational health

Isomorphism explains the forces that persuade and trigger organizations to pattern or recreate itself towards homogeneity. Going by our literary diagnosis, it was observed that the success and failure of an organization is largely tied to its responsiveness towards environmental expectations. Hence, isomorphic pressures such as coercive influence, normative behavior and mimetic process are associated with both opportunities and threats which have the potentials to make or mar the fortunes of organizations. Consequently, the study concludes that organizational survival is only possible in a climate of environmental awareness and swift responses and adaptation to isomorphic dictates. Therefore, we recommend that organizations should develop sustainable resilient behaviors through adaptive capacity building, situation awareness and key...

Introduction With the current wave of new business order emphasizing knowledge capital as the bedrock of organizational competitiveness, organizations desiring to remain operationally viable and favorably surmount the challenges that come with competitions are now beginning to leverage on the competency of individuals possessing not only the requisite know-how to the job, but also possessing self-confidence trait in their personality makeups. This is because as a personality trait, self-confidence is perceived as an indispensable competence for quality leadership and enhanced performance outcomes especially in the face of adversity. According to Sapru (2013) the foundation of self-confidence as a concept can be traced back to the trait leadership theorists' prior to 1949. From the standpoint of the trait theorists, Stogdill (1974); Kirkpatrick and Locke (1991) identified self-confidence as one of the most important qualities in the determination of how successful an individual can be as a leader. In alignment with this view, Oney and Uludag (2013) maintain that self-confidence has long been used as an essential influencing factor in the field of business and marketing, while Bénabou and Tirole (2002) contend that possession of self-confidence posture stimulates and helps the individual undertake more ambitious goals while persisting in the face of adversity. Given this observation, Eccles and Harold (1991) assert that self-confidence is associated with an individual's selfconcept of abilities. Accordingly, Clement(1980) posits that the concept of self-confidence is usually stimulated by the individual's level of perceived competence and lack of anxiety in any circumstance. This therefore implies that people tend to display self-confidence when they understand they possess or carry the prerequisites competencies and abilities to successfully execute a given task without anxiety. Bearing these views in mind, we make bold to say that amid the unpredictable environment in which businesses operate, the desirability of organizations to acquire and retain a pool of workforce with self-confidence attribute is discernibly a necessary and valuable pursuit; knowing that self-confidence traithas the capacity to infuse independency among teams and groups which in turn stimulates functional conflict that promotes creativity, innovation, and team building. This is as autonomous mindset is associated with independent action by an individual or team with a view to bringing forth new business concept or vision, and pursuing such to completion (Boohene et al., 2012). However, such functional conflict is usually achieved through diversity of opinions that help teams to identify new ways of approaching problems and alternative methods of handling it (Lepsinger, 2018). In view of the forgoing observations, the question before us now is, if self-confidence is not invasive and contributes in the reduction of one's anxiety in the face of turbulence, does overconfidence contribute same level of performance at the workplace or a mere cognitive bias capable of jeopardizing the business effort? In a bid to providing answer to this question, Lambert, Bessière and N'Goala (2012) argue that increased experience can overly increase the confidence level of an individual while accuracy may not necessarily improve with increased confidence in theabsence of systematic feedback. On the other hand, Estes and Hosseini (1988) contend that people who are over-confident have the tendency to indulge in reckless behavior, and as such incur avoidable losses. Chiu and Klassen (2010) associated overconfidence with lower performance and under-confidence with higher performance. In the same manner, Moore and Swift (2010) stated that overconfidence has been acknowledged as one prevalent intrinsic cognitive bias expressed by entrepreneurs and has been proven to have negative effects on decision outcomes. Furthermore, Lichtenstein, Fischhoff

Grünberg (2004) observes that for decades, the term 'organizational performance' has been defined from a wide range of perspectives. Some scholars distinguish it as multi-dimensional, proposing that each organization has particular criteria for organizational performance, and the criteria applicable in one organization may not be appropriate in others. Beyond these definitions, empirical study of organizational virtuousness is at most scanty. There are however evidences of studies in a hospital in Malasia on self-control, morality and love. The result showed high degree of correlation between exhibition of love and employee productivity. It is interesting to note that from existing studies so far examined, the Unit of analysis comprises public establishments while the Geographical Unit of analysis are England and Malasia. Therefore, this is a pioneering effort at studying the association of Organizational integrity and performance of fast food companies, a major industry in the Nigerian's agro-based economy and aims at supplying fresh empirical data and update on existing literature. 2. Counter-productive Work -behaviour (criterion variable) is further operationalized using five measures – abuse, production deviation, sabotage, theft, and withdrawal. The cross-sectional survey design is adopted and data is generated using the structured questionnaire. 197 respondents comprising doctors, nursing staff, lab technicians and other administrative staff selected from an accessible population of 402 staff provided responses to the questions. A total of five hypotheses are proposed and tested using descriptive and inferential statistical tools. Results indicate significant relationships in all hypothetical instances, thereby implying an association between Supervisors’ Toxicity and Subordinates’ Counter-productive Work- behavior. Questionnaire was the instrument for data collection. Creative accounting is viewed as the exploitation of accounting concepts and GAAP for gaining various advantages and for deceitful purposes. The survey method was adopted and 180 questionnaires were distributed and 170 were collected and analyzed using the Chi-square statistic in the Predictive Analytic Software (version 19). It was revealed that the practice of creative accounting is always a deliberate attempt to gain undue advantage by management and also to deceive the stakeholders of the firm, by presenting a good view of the financial position of the firm. Punitive measures against the culprits were revealed to be one of the means of stopping the practice. The study also revealed that the new international financial reporting standard will go a long way in stopping the practice in Nigeria.
