Epulis fissuratum occurs when the oral mucosa reacts to the irritation action of the poor fitting denture. These lesions due not spontaneously resolve and must be surgically removed. Following healing, a new denture is fabricated. Two separate cases of epulis fissuratrum are presented and their surgical and rehabilitative management discussed. The need for vestibuloplasty is addressed, along with the histopathological examination of the excised tissue. After one year, the oral examination reveals the patients have not had a reoccurance and the prosthodontic restorations are in good shape.

Proper gingival displacement and abutment finish line exposure is crucial for the proper impression technique. The study aims are to investigate the vertical gingival displacement and if the free gingival margin returns to its original position after seven days by using a retraction cord impregnated with different chemical substances. Materials and method: Our clinical study evaluated on digital photos the modification of the healthy, free gingival margin position on the labial surface of two upper central incisors in the same female patient during the sulcus enlargement with the mechano-chemical method. Results: Statistically significant differences were obtained by comparing the mean values of vertical gingival displacement obtained using a non-impregnated and an impregnated retraction cord with different chemical at each time of the meas...

These relations are also known as interocclusal relations, among which the moments in which the dento-dental contacts (occlusal relations) play an important role. Maximum intercuspation (MI) is the most frequent mandibulo-cranial functional position with dento-dental contact. The vast majority of functional food incision and mastication cycles end in MI. The highest number of dento-dental contacts, and the largest possible stability and surface of these contacts are also achieved in MI. Given the relative easiness of determination, recording and transfer of the MI position, it is used in many clinical situations to report the models of the two arches. The interocclusal recording materials used in our study ...

The rehabilitation of these teeth must be performed accurately, considering the occlusal relationships and the correct distribution of the masticatory forces. The therapeutic approach must be as minimally invasive as possible. In this case presentation, six palatal veneers were realized for the aesthetic and functional rehabilitation of a young patient’s upper frontal teeth. The restorations were made on refractory casts, from feldspathic ceramics, allowing a proper esthetic. The occlusal rehabilitation involves the mounting of the casts in a semi-adjustable articulator. The six veneers were adapted functionally by using the Bio-Art A7 Plus articulator. Due to the adhesive techniques and the existing interocclusal space at this level, the teeth’s preparation was limited to the enamel. The deep chamfer was placed equigingivally. During the try-in of the restorations, the esthetic evaluation was done. The adhesive technique was used to...
