The present work was to evaluate the effects of pH sensitive polymers (Eugragit S100 and Shellac)... more The present work was to evaluate the effects of pH sensitive polymers (Eugragit S100 and Shellac) on 5aminosalicylic acid and prednisolone release from tablets to optimize the coating concentration for colonic delivery. Coating formulation was designed based on the full factorial design. Two indecent variables were used in different concentrations by factorial design. In-vitro dissolution studies, it was found that formulation G4 showed 99.26% of 5-ASA in 18 hours and 99.48% of prednisolone in 24 hours, which lies within the acceptance criteria of 80%. That study conclude that the 1% coating concentration of shellac on inner and 10% coating concentration of Eudragit S100 shows the complete release of drugs to colon for treatment of ulcerative colitis.

Formulated Topical spray was evaluated by pH, clarity of solution, spray pattern, area covered by each spray, dermal adhesion of film, flexibility of film, water washability of film, leakage from container, average weight of formulation per metered dose (or per spray), drug content per spray, film formation time, in vitro drug transport, drug content uniformity after 10 th spray, 15 th spray, 30 th spray, 40 th spray and viscosity. Batch F1 containing ethyl cellulose (4%) and polyethylene glycol (0.25%) was found to give good clarity of solution, evaporation rate, spray pattern, and tackiness of the film. Diffusion studies of the optimized formulation through the semipermeable membrane showed the release of drug to the extent 50% over a period of 6 hours. Stability studies were conducted as per ICH guidelines and indicated that formulation was stable. Skin irritation studies were performed using rat as an animal model. The results obtained show that the transdermal spray can be a promising and innovative therapeutic system for the transdermal administration of psoralen.

The system uses an Arduino microcontroller to collect weight information about products in the pantry, a Raspberry Pi microcomputer equipped with a camera to take pictures of the pantry, and a gateway server to process this information to be sent to the central server. Smart pantry uses various Python libraries such as PiCamera to operate the camera, ZBar to read and recognize barcodes, and OpenCV to process the images. The matrix tablet was prepared by wet granulation method. The matrix tablet was then coated with different concentration of shellac solution by dip coating method to prevent drug release in stomach. The prepared matrix tablets were evaluated for hardness, weight variation, friability and (in-vitro) dissolution. The in-vitro drug release of different formulation was found to be minimum 84.84±2.16 and maximum 99.41 ±0.96. The formulation F5 shows best result in in-vitro drug release.

Methods: Esomeprazole magnesium was analyzed using various traditional & modern analytical and investigative tools viz FTIR, HPLC, UV spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, zetasizer. Results: The absorption maxima were found at 301 nm with UV Spectrophotometric and HPLC analysis. The particle size of the drug was analyzed through Malvern zetasizer employing water as diluent and found to be 11.818 µm. The quantitative solubility of Esomeprazole magnesium was predicted in various solvents at 25 0C and found that it was most soluble in methanol and was least soluble in distilled water. Solubility was also found to be pH-dependent. Solubility increases with an increase in pH. Significance of this Research Investigation Increase the absorption and bioavailability of the drug via delayed release formulation.Utilize the nontoxic and biodegradable nature of Chitosan and Xanthan gum that makes it safer for patients as compared to other synthetic polymers it is also economical. Reduce the dose and administration frequency.Reduce the incidences of adverse drug reaction. Methods: Esomeprazole magnesium was analyzed using various traditional & modern analytical and investigative tools viz FTIR, HPLC, UV spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, zetasizer. Results: The absorption maxima were found at 301 nm with UV Spectrophotometric and HPLC analysis. The particle size of the drug was analyzed through Malvern zetasizer employing water as diluent and found to be 11.818 µm. The quantitative solubility of Esomeprazole magnesium was predicted in various solvents at 25 0C and found that it was most soluble in methanol and was least soluble in distilled water. Solubility was also found to be pH-dependent. Solubility increases with an increase in pH.
