Research paper thumbnail of Hybrid Recommender System for E Commerce A Comprehensive Review and Future Directions

Traditional recommender systems, such as content-based and collaborative filtering, have their limitations in terms of accuracy and scalability. Hybrid recommender systems, which combine multiple recommendation techniques, have emerged as a promising solution to overcome these limitations and improve recommendation performance. In this research paper, we present a comprehensive review of the state-of-the-art hybrid recommender systems for e-commerce, focusing on the different techniques and approaches used in hybrid recommendation, including content-based, collaborative filtering, and hybridization techniques. We also highlight the advantages and challenges of using hybrid recommender systems in e-commerce, including data sparsity, scalability, and interpretability. Furthermore, we discuss the evaluation metrics used for measuring the performance of hybrid recommender systems and identify the research gaps and future directions in this field. Overall, this paper provides a comprehensive overview of the current research on hybrid recommender systems for e-commerce and offers insights into the future directions for further research and development in this area.

Consumers are now becoming more aptly aware and prevalent. With the transition to online shopping, manufacturers and retailers must now tailor to consumers' needs while still offering more choices than before. There are different categories of recommender schemes used in E-Commerce: Association rules, Collaborative filtering, Content-based filtering, Hybrid Recommender Systems etc. The main contribution of this work lies in the study and review of recent research papers on different criteria, including Role of Recommender System in e-commerce, Social Network Impact on recommender system and Machine Learning models in recommendation. After performing the review, we proposed a hypothetical model synonymous with the conclusion in this present investigation.

A wireless sensor network consists of hundreds or thousands of low cost nodes which could either have a fixed location or randomly deployed to monitor the environment. Basically wireless sensor networking is used for monitoring the physical conditions such as weather conditions, regularity of temperature, different kinds of vibrations and also deals in the field of technology related to sound. The key evaluation metrics for wireless sensor networks are lifetime, coverage, cost and ease of deployment, response time, temporal accuracy, security, and effective sample rate. This paper provides review of various researches performed in the field of wireless sensor networks.

We compare CROSS LAYER Engine architecture using QoS-PAR, as a routing protocol, with the layered architecture with the AODV routing protocol , using the J-Sim simulator. We use J-Sim since it is suitable for cross-layer implementations. We used it to implement the whole CROSS LAYER Engine architecture, including the proposed routing protocol, QoS-PAR, and the LYMP protocol

In case of packet delivery ratio, AODV performs better than DSDV when number of nodes are high, but DSDV performs better than two protocols in as far as throughput is concerned. So, in real time traffic scenario AODV is favoured as compared to DSR and DSDV. Further, the attacker selects only those genuine nodes through more than a threshold number of alternative paths pass through, thereby facilitating the attacker to use less number of nodes. So the attack scheme is power aware. Finally we also propose IDS to detect the proposed energy aware Gray hole attack. NS2 experimental results show the validity of the proposed attack.
