Hand line is a fishing gear consisting of a single string and hook for fishing and is widely used... more Hand line is a fishing gear consisting of a single string and hook for fishing and is widely used by fishermen in Malaumkarta waters. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of fish resources caught in the waters of Malaumkarta with the Drift Fishing system for resource conservation. The research was conducted 6 (six) times in 3 locations from June to September 2021. The method used was fishing survey using Handline Metal Jig drift system at depths 50 meters and 50 meters. The analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that there were 134 individuals and 20 types of fish caught with a total weight of 126,194 kg. The type of fish that was most often caught was Letrinus sp, while in quantity it was Eumegistus illustris. The catch at three fishing locations showed that at a depth of 50 meters, 17 species were caught, 62 individuals, 104.625 kg with an average weight of 1.69 kg, while at a depth of 50 meters, 11 species were caught, 73 indiv...

Gag Island is one of the areas that has the potential for the main coral species Acropora sp, but with the increase in pollution from waste that causes sedimentation, and local community activities in fishing activities in ways that are not environmentally friendly, such as the use of bombs that make coral reefs in the area. many of these areas are degraded or damaged. To overcome the sustainability of fishing that is not environmentally friendly, it is the initiative to carry out socialization and transplantation.

This potential is utilized through the application of local knowledge for better fishing operations. Fishermen in West Sumatera in determining fishing ground still use the traditional method, namely using previous experience even though on vessels of > 40 GT and it has been assisted by the fish finder. This study aims to analyze the distribution of sea surface temperature (SST) and chlorophyll-a through Aqua Modis satellite imagery interpretation and analyze its effect on boat lift catch from December 2019 to March 2020. The remote sensing technique via satellite is an efficient method to determine the distribution of sea surface temperature and the distribution of chlorophyll-a. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas plankton yang meliputi kelimpahan, k... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas plankton yang meliputi kelimpahan, keanekaragaman, keseragaman, dominansi, kesamaan habitat di Perairan Pantai Tanjung Kasuari. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa fitoplankton yang ditemukan terdiri dari 3 kelas yaitu kelas Bacillariophyceae (27 genera), kelas Cyanophyceae (1 genus), dan kelas Dinophyceae (3 genera): zooplankton terdiri dari 7 kelompok yaitu Crustacea (8 genera), Protozoa (8 genera), Rotifera (1 genus), Urochordata (1 genus), larva Gastropoda (1 genus), larva Pelecynoda (1 genus), dan larva Polychaeta (1 genus). Komposisi jenis fitoplankton tertinggi pada setiap stasiun dari kelas Bacillariophyceae yang berkisar antara 81-91 % dan zooplankton dari kelompok Crustacea berkisar antara 31-55 % dari total jenis yang ada. Jeruju selama ini kurang termanfaatkan bahkan hanya dianggap semak belukar hingga tak jarang habi... more Jeruju selama ini kurang termanfaatkan bahkan hanya dianggap semak belukar hingga tak jarang habitatnya menjadi terancam. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengedukasi masyarakat bahwa jeruju dapat diolah menjadi keripik yang bernilai ekonomi tinggi sehingga penting untuk menjaga kelestariannya. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan mengundang ibu-ibu warga Desa Babakan, Kabupaten Pangandaran sebanyak 10 orang untuk mengikuti pelatihan mengenai pembuatan keripik jeruju. Hasil monitoring dan evaluasi menunjukkan selama praktik pembuatan keripik jeruju, seluruh peserta pelatihan dapat mempraktikan dengan cermat tanpa menunjukkan kesulitan.

Community service in the form of increasing the hard skill of the digital information system for fishing fishing in the digital era aims to make it easier for fishermen to carry out their livelihood activities. Activities are carried out online for theory and offline for practice. The target partners were trained as many as 30 people from the hand line fishery community of the Maladum Mes district. The results of monitoring the target partners can practice the material presented.

Various motives for destructive fishing include economic, social, cultural motives, and even ignorance that this action is against the law. Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan Sorong carries out community service as an effort to provide understanding regarding environmentally friendly fisheries through lectures and the practice of making environmentally friendly fishing gear. The activity lasted for 2 days, attended by 20 fishermen target partners of Saoka Village. The results of the practice in the form of environmentally friendly fishing gear are handed over to target partners for use in fishing operations.

The influx of organic and inorganic pollution into Daruba waters can cause the water quality meets degradation of biological of function. This reseach aimed to determine the quality analysis of the waters of the Daruba. Sampling was carried out in September to oktober 2020 across five reseach stations,then the result of laboratory of water quality parameters were carried out descriptive. The result measurements and laboratory tests of chemical physics parameters show the condition of Daruba waters based on water quality standards on KEPMEN-LH No. 51 Tahun 2004, most of which have exceeded the water quality standards for marine biota.

There are several limitations which are lower growth and feet effisincy trought the natural habitat. Hence, an optimal feed combination is consideret to be provided during fish rearing to increase their growth. One of ideas was to use probiotic, which is bacteria that are able to decompose organic materials to change toxic compounds is valauable matter to the environment. For instance, ammonia and nitrite can be converted into free ammonium. The additional in an artificial feed is exfected to gain aquaculture activities. The study was conducted for 56 days from August to October 2019 in Wetlab Kastela FPK of Khairun University. Experiment and four treatments were applied using Filling Randomized Design (RAL). Shrimp is an excellent fishery commodity consumption in the global market, but the availability of supply is not yet fulfilled. The supra intensive aquaculture system has believed as a solution method for shrimp production. This study was trying to analyze the energy and emergy flow inside the supra intensive aquaculture system. Further analysis was done with emergy indices calculation to predict the future application of supra intensive system. The result of study shows the energy required in shrimp harvested from supra intensive system (transformity) was 1,12E+10 sej/g shrimps. This number represents it is needed more energy to produce per gram shrimps in supra intensive system compared to conventional shrimp pond in Ecuador and in Brazil. System more likely depend on purchased input which was indicated by very high EIR and ELR but in contrary relatively low EYR. Supra intensive aquaculture systems tend to be unsustainable in the long term by the very low value of ESI.
