Describe the following social aspects of language and how they may impact on the teaching and lea... more Describe the following social aspects of language and how they may impact on the teaching and learning of English as an additional language: language variation, language change, and attitudes towards language variation and change. Language is the major factor of communication between human individuals. Due to its significance, the effects of language, has contained regional, social and personal features. Language variation as a part of sociolinguistic, caught attention of relevant academics since 1960 decade. It has embraced three main levels of regional, social and personal variations. Besides, Language change was a point of discussion for over centuries and varies personalities have had their opinion about it. This essay will attempt to describe the social aspects of language and the way they may impact on the teaching and learning of English as an additional language. Then the essay will examine the main ways in which English varies, including regional, social, individual and gender variation. Later on, the essay will describe reasons for change in English language. Next, the essay will define and compare prescriptive and descriptive attitudes toward language variation and change. Finally, the essay will provide and comment on one implication for English language learning or teaching of each of the above mentioned social factors. The main signal of permanent and transient aspects of human social identity is considered to be language. (Crystal, 2003). English language is varied in a number of distinct ways. It is well known that geography is one of factors of creation and development of accents and dialects. Regional variation is one of those ways which is based on geographical features. Regional variation may include each one of dialect and accent. Where as a regional dialect refers to lexical and grammatical features to reflect the details about a person's geographical origin, regional accent

These relations began a year after the US-China rapprochement in 1971. So official relations between two countries established on 22, December 1972. However, the first contacts between these two countries date back to 1792, when Chinese seal hunters came to New Zealand to collect seal skins. Brady, 2008 notes, (Then the sealskin trade stopped, other trade continued, such as the export of jade, timber, and later gold, fungus and scrap iron.

Marriage is one of the most important events in a girl/ boy s life. Most Kurdish parents prefer early marriage arrangements for their children. Many strict Kurdish Muslims view age of 14 as perfect age for marriage and they does not allow their children turn 16 years before marriage.

Bush publicly labeled the Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK, a terrorist organization and branded them as an enemy of America and the free world. He then went on to essentially issue a public death warrant for the PKK by promising U.S. military assistance to help Turkey find and eradicate the Kurdish guerilla force in the mountains of Kurdistan-Iraq.
In some ways this was a blessing for Kurdish people still hoping and struggling for freedom in Iran, Syria, and especially Turkey. President Bush unwittingly reminded the global community that there is a significant and oppressed ethnic group in the Middle East known as the Kurds. His announcement and actions has also given the Kurdish problem in Turkey a global visibility that had been suppressed for years by the American government and relatively ignored by the Western media.

Today more than half a century after Pakistan’s independence, still military wing is dominant, border disputes with India remained unsolved and its leaders have not been fully succeeded in their strategy for homogenising the multi ethnic, multi linguistic and multi cultural nation of Pakistan.
