The identification of the process relies on the functional form for the intensity function, which can be difficult to determine. In this paper, a Non-Homogenous Poisson Process model is proposed to predict the intensity function for the number of earthquake occurrences in Iraq; the constructed model allows anticipating the number of earthquakes occur at any time interval with a specific time length. Then, to estimate the model parameters, the data obtained from the annual reports of the Iraqi Meteorological Organization and Seismology (IMOS) from January, 1 st 2018 to May, 1 st 2023 is used. Moreover, a simulation study is conducted and a new algorithm is introduced to show the performance and the applicability of the proposed model.

The main objective is to investigate the last status of patients suffer from various types of cancer in Kurdistan Region of Iraq for the period 2010-2019 based on the main factors that contribute significantly to their last situation. A random sample of size 821 cancer patients from two main public hospitals (Rzgari and Nankali) in Erbil, where the patients take permanent and appropriate treatment, is selected of 619 alive and 202 dead. The results of the study showed that binary logistic regression is an appropriate technique to identify statistically significant predictor variables such as gender, age, cancer site and region to predict the probability of the last status (alive or dead) for each cancer patients. Moreover, it is deduced that despite the higher rate of cancer for female patients than the male; the chance for female cancer patients to be alive is more than male patients.

For this, as in the case of univariate failure time data, exponential and Weibull models are probably the most commonly used ones. However, it is surprising that there seem no general estimation procedures available for fitting the bivariate Weibull model to bivariate right-censored failure time data except some methods for special situations. We present and investigate two general but simple estimation procedures, one being a graphical approach and the other being a marginal approach, for the problem. An extensive simulation study is conducted to assess the performances of the proposed approaches and shows that they work well for practical situations. An illustrative example is provided.

To estimate the parameters of this process, it is proposed to use the Maximum Likelihood method, Method of Moment and a smart method represented by the Artificial Bee Colony:(ABC) algorithm to reach an estimator for this process which represents the best data representation. The results of the three methods are compared through a simulation of the model, and it is concluded that the estimator of (ABC) is better than the estimator of the maximum likelihood method and method of moment in estimating the time rate of occurrence of the proposed Extreme value process. The research also includes a realistic application that deals with the operating periods of two successive stops for the raw materials factory from the General Company ...

In this paper, a new approach for mean-variance analysis based on cumulative distribution functions is proposed. Using simulation, a new algorithm is developed, which generates pairs of random variables to be representative for each pair of uncertain alternatives. The proposed model is concerned with financial investment for risk- averse investors with non-negative lotteries. Furthermore, the proposed technique in this paper can be applies to different distribution functions for lotteries or utility functions. Publications during study Appendix 182
