The tectonic movemets related to the Red Sea floor spreading creat great variations in the crustal structure and depth of Moho discontinuity through this region. Gravity data have been acquired from Earth Gravitional Model (EGM-2008) and analyzed to estimate the crustal thickness under this region. 2-D gravity modeling have been conducted along eleven profiles oriented ENE-WSW and NW-SE to verify the lateral variations of the crust and mantle beneath these profiles. Accordingly, the upper layer of the crust is represented by sedimentary rocks underlying by basement layer that extends until the Moho discontinuity. The crustal thickness increases eastward, and the depth to the Moho is 25 km in the western part, along the Red Sea and increased upto 38 km through the Arabian Shield. These results are in agreement with the previous deep seismic and seis...

Forty five adult male rats were randomly distributed into 5 groups, of 9 animals each. Group (1) was given orally 1ml distilled water/rat and used as negative control and group (2) was orally given SVP (500 mg/kg/day) during the last week of experiment period to induce testicular damage and used as positive control. The other three protected groups were pretreated by oral administration of PSO at a dose of 40 mg/kg, Vit E at 200 mg/kg and PSO with Vit E respectively for 8 weeks and received SVP during the last week. Blood samples were collected for estimating serum levels of testosterone, Follicle – stimulating hormone (FSH) and Luteinizing hormone (LH). Semen samples were collected for semen analysis. Rats were th...

The study also aims to lay out the necessary requirements for the successful implementation of MKIS in decision-making. The study conclude that the roles for computerbased support for developing marketing strategy present a real challenge to individual computer-based techniques and technologies in the dynamic environment. A single support technique cannot meet the broad requirements of the new roles, and can only fit some of them. Each technique has specific benefits that make it suited to certain problems but not to others. While individual intelligent techniques have particular strengths, they also have specific weaknesses. These weaknesses raise the need for developing a hybrid intelligent system, where two or more techniques or technologies are combined to overcome the weaknesses of indi...

The so-produced conjugate is utilized to detect or assay a specific reactant against which the antibody, in the conjugate, is directed. Many labelling materials have been conjugated to specific antibodies. The most commonly used labels included enzymes, avidin-biotin, radioactive materials, fluoriscin dyes, ferritin, gold and possibly others.

It now includes students taking an academic achievement test in order to access most Saudi universities. Therefore, the focus of this research is to study the attitudes of students and faculty members towards using achievement tests as a part of entrance requirements for King Abdul-Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The tools applied in this research are questionnaire and interview. Questionnaires were distributed to ninety-two students and faculty members in the School of Arabic at King Abdul-Aziz University, and interviews were conducted with a selection of those students and faculty members at the same school. Most participants agreed that the achievement test helps the admissions departments of higher education institutions to indicate the student's academic level when finishing high school. However, it is necessary to develop the test in several aspects, such as not including questi...

Security requirements aim to address security at the early stages of system design while accommodating the complex needs of different stakeholders. Meanwhile, other research communities, such as usable privacy and security, have also examined these requirements with specialized goal to make security more usable for stakeholders from product owners, to system users and administrators. In this paper we report results from conducting a literature survey to compare security requirements research from RE Conferences with the Symposium on Usable Privacy and Security (SOUPS). We report similarities between the two research areas, such as common goals, technical definitions, research problems, and directions. Further, we clarify the differences between these two communities to understand how they can leverage each oth...

Growth parameters, pigment contents and nutrient uptake were examined in young tissue culture-derived date palm trees (Phoenix dactylifera L.) cv. 'Barhee' subjected to foliar application of 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) at different rates in a newly established orchard. The results showed that after 20 months from transplanting all the trees were successfully developed and well established without any losses. After 12 months from transplanting, the tree height was not significantly affected by 5-ALA application compared to control. However, after 20 months from transplanting, the tree height was significantly higher at 50 and 100 ppm of 5-ALA application compared to control, while 5-ALA application at 15...

The studies applied on a sample of (150) of the children with autism were randomly selected. The members of the study responded to a questionnaire prepared to achieve the objectives of the study consists of learning styles (visual verbal, visual, kinesthetic sense, auditory). After analyzing the results of the study showed that the most common learning styles are verbal visual style, does not fit the pattern auditory autistic. As it turns out that there are statistically significant differences in patterns favorite due to the severity of disability in favor of Simple disability, there are no significant differences due to gender. In the light of the results there were some useful recommendations aimed at support the preferred style.

Establishing the causes of job burnout and its effect on staff members of the King Abdul-Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, was the intention of the present investigation. Three dimensions of burnout were assessed: exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment. It was hypothesized that each of the three had direct impacts on workplace satisfaction and performance. The research assumed a quantitative approach using a descriptive design. Data from 500 individuals who work at the institution were randomly sampled and analyzed; and information obtained through questionnaires. The mean exhaustion level of the sample was 2.95 (std, dev. = 0.77) while that for depersonalization and personal accomplishment were 2.09 (std, dev. = 0.77) and 3.83 (std, dev. = 0.53) respectively. The average staff performance was 3.36 (std, dev. = 0.60). Significant associations were established between perfor...

Children with disabilities are one of the most marginalized and excluded groups in society. Facing daily discrimination in the form of negative attitudes, Estimates suggest that there are at least 93 million children with disabilities in the world, but numbers could be much higher. Method: A descriptive analytical research design was used to identify the quality of life of parents/caretakers having a child with disability/ies in Illam district. Systematic random sampling was used and collected data from 244 participants. World Health Organization Quality of Life-Brief (WHOQOL-BREF) Questionnaire was adopted Association between the socio-demographic variables and four domains of WHOQOL was determined using one way ANOVA. In the end, multiple linear regression analysis was performed to find the predictors of domains of WHOQOL and to control the confounding effect. Results: The quality of parents having a child with disability have good quality of life in social relationship mean 15.6±1.3.The physical domain is weakly correlated with the social domain. There is a moderate positive correlation between psychosocial and the social domains. Cognitive disability mean score was highest on social domain that is 14.91and lowest on the physical domain (13.87). Conclusion: To improve quality life of parents, health care and welfare professionals should focus on particular people with higher age group, disadvantaged and marginalized groups illiterate, those who are unmarried, divorced or separated and those engaged in agriculture and carry out interventions aimed at improving their quality of life.
