An experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2004–05 involving three levels of nitrogen (0, ... more An experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2004–05 involving three levels of nitrogen (0, 100 and 75% nitrogen) with four levels of biofertilizers (no inoculation, Azospirillum, Azotobacter and Azotobacter + Azospirillum). Out of the twelve treatment combinations, the best treatment was T12 (N2B3) i.e. 75 percent nitrogen (120 kg ha−1) + Azotobacter + Azospirillum which significantly influenced curd yield (400.00qha−1) and give maximum net returns (96, 830.6 Rs ha−1) with B: C ratio of 4.17.

The present study entitled “Effect of active engagement in music on cognitive style and emotional... more The present study entitled “Effect of active engagement in music on cognitive style and emotional intelligence of young adults” was undertaken to assess the impact of involvement in music on cognitive style and emotional intelligence and gender differences thereof. The sample comprised of 160 respondents which was further divided into two groups: music group (80) and non-music group (80) equally distributed over both the genders (40 each). The results revealed that majority of the respondents followed split cognitive style and males in lager number were found to have split cognitive style as compared to females. There was significant and greater impact of music involvement on cognitive style of males as compared to females as the former achieved higher in systematic and intuitive scores. Maximum number of respondents had average emotional intelligence and females were more emotionally intelligent as compared to males. Music involvement significantly improved emotional intelligence of both males and females in all its dimensions as well as overall. In non-music sample, males had better intra personal awareness and inter personal awareness of emotions whereas, females showed better intra personal management and inter personal management of emotions. There was a significant and greater impact of music involvement on emotional intelligence of males as compared to females.

Maternal Mortality is still very high in many of the low resource countries compared to the developed countries. Available DATA suggests that in many countries MMR is still very high and not lowering even within a reasonably organized health care set up. In Nepal, Safe Motherhood Program was started during 1997 and some significant progress was made in health care infrastructure. But the millennium development goal (MDG 5) of 213 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births by 2015 is yet to be achieved. The motivation for the study was born of the fact that in India, among all building typologies, commercial buildings consume the maximum energy. This energy consumption is mainly for cooling of the building and lighting the interior spaces. Cooling and lighting up spaces generates heat in and around the building, which again increases the cooling load. Out of the total electrical energy required in the building, around 20-40% is used for lighting purposes. Despite availability of daylight during the working hours, artificial lighting is used in offices that have huge internal spaces with large spans. This paper aims at understanding the factors related to daylight penetration into office building in different situations and developing guidelines for achieving maximum daylight penetration in large spaces.

With the fast pace of the current world and changing technology, conventional teaching practices that are largely based on information assimilation have ceased to serve us adequately. The rate of change in trends and technologies in the current times do not match the content of our existing syllabus. This paper tries to identify the role and application of Building Construction Technology for training the young minds for handling future challenges and coping up with upcoming developments. It talks about various experimentation and exploration techniques aimed at enhancing the student's analytical ability as well as his/her understanding of materials, techniques, systems, etc. The Building Construction Technology team at IDEAS has tried to bridge the gap between conventional teaching methods and the changing technology by adding a third dimension to teaching-learning methodology. The paper presents methods devised and tested in the Second Year Building Construction Studio for enabling the students for creative handling of materials and technology.

One of the most popular algorithms is Apriori that is used to extract frequent itemsets from large database and getting the association rule for discovering the knowledge. Based on this algorithm, this paper indicates the limitation of the original Apriori algorithm of wasting time for scanning the whole database searching on the frequent itemsets, and presents an improvement on Apriori by reducing that wasted time depending on scanning only some transactions. The paper shows by experimental results with several groups of transactions, and with several values of minimum support and minimum confidence that applied on the original Apriori and our implemented improved Apriori by means of the comparison with three parameters such as time Execution, Memory Consumed and Accuracy of Rules.
