Despite being a promising research area, Socially Assistive Robots (SARs) have not been thoroughly studied and used in SLT. This paper makes two main contributions: firstly, providing a comprehensive review of existing research on the use of SARs to enhance communication skills in children and adolescents. Secondly, organizing the information into tables that categorize the interactive play scenarios described in the surveyed papers. The inclusion criteria for play scenarios in the tables are based only on their effectiveness for SLT proven by experimental findings. The data, systematically presented in a table format, allow readers to easily find relevant information based on various factors, such as disorder type, age, treatment technique, robot type, etc. The study concludes that the despite limited research on the use of social robots for children and ado...

After assessing these approaches, it was decided to deploy neural network with the font symbols images as an input. As a result, neural networks driven computer fonts classification system, that allows to classify fonts by slope, basic style and weight according to their graphical representation, was developed and integrated into the font organizer. High classification accuracy of the developed neural network model was confirmed by control tests. Percentage of correctly classified fonts during the system testing reaches 91% in determining weight, 92% in determining basic style, 96% in determining slope. The developed system can be applied to tasks of fonts classification solution as supplement for digital documents structure determination, and as system of font selection for design creation.

Gradually, more and more activities are taken over by computers making human intervention squeezed to a periodic operability check of the same constructed system. In the educational system and the process of training, the automation of the test generation process at the stage of creating the test questions and facilitating the intellectual efforts made by lecturers are still insufficiently developed. The issue stems from the lack of an integrated automated system for testing what has been learned whereby the manual job of the lecturers in creating test questions can be replaced by an automated one. A way to neutralize the existing inconvenience in the process of learning is the development of a special system for generating tests. The current paper represents an automated system for generating and checking tests through the use of templates, which suggests an accelerated generation of exam questions as well as economizing on the precious time of lecturers. The introduction and implementation of such a system provides a progressive generation of a sufficient number of exam questions, which will help prepare individual tests for the participants in the learning process. Research has shown that the integration of the system into the process of testing the knowledge that has been acquired enhances to a great extent the time for generating individual exam tests for each student.

The preparation of a school timetable in a school or university aims to plan for the conduct of classes in certain academic disciplines for a certain period of time, while optimally engaging the classrooms and professors available for the relevant period. The aim of this paper is to provide a mathematical model for rationality in planning a study timetable. This mean to make forecast on whether the accepted number of students, organised in groups, could be instructed during defined period of time in the available classrooms in the educational institution. The developed model aims to make better use of available classrooms and places for students in them. Calculating a rationality ratio will give the educational institution an idea of the: Need for more classrooms; Need to extend the study period (n...

The ICT penetration in the life of the average person, digitisation of things and the easy access... more The ICT penetration in the life of the average person, digitisation of things and the easy access to information from many and different sources has gradually shifted the emphasis in the learning process from acquiring knowledge toward building skills and competencies. In the course of the training in hard skills, it becomes more and more important that the acquired knowledge be applied rationally in the solving of sudden problems. The main issues that are encountered in the learning process are the abundance of information sources, difficulties in selecting appropriate learning literature, and defocusing learners from the main purpose of learning. A good solution is a frequent control over the knowledge imposed from the lecturer, who checks the acquired knowledge analysing the results and guiding the learners to their specific problem through a suitable solution and appropriate literature. The paper presents a model for building competence in disciplines developing hard skills (such as C ++, C #, Java, JavaScript, HTML, etc.). The model is based on a scheme of accelerated systematic use of a complex of validation tools for the acquired knowledge in the educational process-presentation, verification, analysis and application of the learned material in practical tasks with the participation of an electronic system. It includes regularly repeating four stages: Stage of acquaintance with the new learning material, stage of testing and analysing knowledge; Stage of practical implementation in the form of realization of more complex tasks or larger projects and fourth stage-implementation of accumulated knowledge and skills in the solving of cases. The result of implementing the model in the learning process has a positive influence on demonstrated student knowledge in the form of more and better-solved tasks during the learning process and a greater number of correct answers during the exam. This gives a reason to believe that the model can enjoy the same success in other hard skills disciplines.

Evidence is provided indicating that if the messages delivered by the national leadership and the local leadership are unified and coordinated with each other (as in Florida), they have a significant impact on the public's behavoural change or its self-protection effort. Moreover, social learning appears to contribute to effecitve self-protection efforts of the public. These effects are not observed in a state in which mixed messages are sent by the national and local government (Ohio).

In the field of higher education, it is known that the assessment methods are chosen by the lecturer, leading the discipline. It is accepted that learners should be tested in two ways verbally and in writing. In the written test are increasingly used tests and preparation of course projects. Widely is introduced the e-testing (by the e-mail, with electronic test systems, by creating randomly generated electronic tests, etc.). This paper carries out a comparative analysis between two models in the training process by evaluating the acquired competencies. These are the model of double-checking the knowledge and training model with rapid testing of the learners, realized with the participation of an automated system for knowledge verification. The applied methodology is carried out through a theoretical-applied analysis and statistical processing of the collected results. The analysis of the received data collected by the empirical studies gives insight into the effectiveness of each of the models. The purpose of the report is to choose an optimal model for assessment of knowledge in the process of acquiring competencies, consistent with the specifics of the studied discipline.

Many challenges are faced with higher education. Every day new technologies, software and hardware solutions are developed and how can the universities respond to these changes. To be part of the educational process, first the person has to be a good teacher. This knowledge the young lecturer receives from his mentor, who is part of the university staff. For 5 to 10 years the young lecturer become well educated and can manage his own subjects. How can young lecturers be well informed and educated in the new techniques and new trends? And how they can respond adequately to all students' questions? This is the most pressing problem and an answer is given in this article. A new model of cooperation between Universities and Companies is given. An experiment with few young lecturers in Bulgaria is described. Here are certain important negatives of using speakers outside the university and some recommendations on how to move to the next level, set by the digital transformation.
