This study is to evaluate the potential retention of college students newly recruited by a college. This researchsurveyed 112 new students of STIE Perbanas Surabaya. The sampling was convenient sampling technique. The questionnaire was mostly filled up by the students from out of East Java especially out of Java Island. It was analyzed using descriptive statistic, Excel of Microsoft 2007. The results showed that a) 100% of students are willing to make positive word-of-mouth advertising; b) 96.1% showed that they often talked about positiveness of their college; c) 93.5% showed that they often heard from other students on the positiveness of their college; d) 93.1% students are willing to help in promotion activities; 83.7% showed that they were happy in studying in the college. Purpose- The purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of Corporate Social Responsi... more Purpose- The purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs in Indonesiann banking industry especially banks categorized under BUKU 3 which means the banks having the capital range of 5-30 trillions. Methodology- The analysis refers to the classification of CSR programs based on the category falling into environment, health, education, disaster, donation, employee, and product; and on CSR benefit or impact covering philanthrophy, promotion, business impact, and mindset-change. Using content analysis and census sampling technique, data were explored 2015-2018 annual reports of 15 member banks Findings- The result showed that based on the Category classification, the banks’ CSR programs mostly were delivered to education, environment, and employees dominated taking 26%, 22%, 20% successively. The implication is that while those three categories are well supported, banks quite equally care of internal wealth. Anyhow, based on Benefit, the result showed that mindset change effect took only 7% leading to the implication that the level of CSR in banking industry is still low and this also refers that the community condition and country development are still relatively low. Conclusion- The banks having good rank in the kind of CSR sectors are relatively also have good rank in CSR impacts which show good level in the CSR impact of promotion and business impact. By CSR sectors, the high coverage successively are education sector, environment, employees and donations. The impact of CSR dedicated for internal and external party are in balance. Specifically, by CSR impact, CSR is aware of promoting and caring for business impacts for the bank business sustainability. Anyhow, Indonesian banking industry show very weak role in helping change people mind set for better human quality

The purpose of this study is to explain the influence of CSR’s dimension on di-mension of brand image in PLN Company in Indonesia. This study focuses on legal and ethical responsibilities that can enhance the positive functional and symbolic image. Sample of this study are 110 consumers that was chosen used on random sampling tech-niques in Mojokerto and data collected by questionnaires. The anlysis tool used is Partial Least Squares (PLS). The empirical results indicate that corporate legal responsibility has significantly effect on functionalimage but legal responsibility does not significantly effect on symbolicimage. Next, ethical responsibility has significant effect on both func-tionalimage and symbolicimage. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan praktik CSR yang dilakukan oleh perbankan syariah di Indonesia. Data selain dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner kepada 237 nasabah bank Islam juga dilakukan wawancara pada pimpinan bank syariah yang menangani CSR. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nasabah menilai bank syariah telah melakukan praktik CSR dengan baik. Terdapat tiga tanggung jawab sosial yang dikaji, yaitu CSR kepada karyawan, nasabah, masyarakat dan lingkungan. CSR bank syariah kepada karyawannya dinilai paling baik dibandingkan CSR kepada nasabah, masyarakat dan lingkungan. Dalam program yang dilakukan aspek lingkungan kurang banyak dilakukan, perhatian ke masyarakat jauh lebih besar dibandingkan dengan lingkungan. This study attempts to examine the financial literacy level of SME’s owner in East Java based on ... more This study attempts to examine the financial literacy level of SME’s owner in East Java based on demographic aspect. The sample was taken from 65 SME’s in East Java which produce prominent local product. The data were collected by using survey method and deep interview. They were analyzed using descriptive explorative and also cross tabulation for examining SME’s financial literacy based on demographic attribute. Research found that that the financial literacy score of SME’s owner in East Java is good enough, where they have average score 55.8 with the same score of median and mode 66.7. Majority weakness of SME’s owner is the literacy on SME understanding of net asset and insurance premium. Otherwise, whole SME’s owner is fully understood that financial knowledge is so useful for the SME.
