A new and simple technique for the patients who desire an esthetic tooth replacement before any definitive Prosthodontic and/or orthodontic treatment is described in this case-report. In this technique, a provisional prosthesis is fabricated, using an acrylic tooth, resin cement and an orthodontic wire which is also cost effective and less time consuming. This provisional prosthesis may be used where aesthetics is a prime concern and a definitive treatment has to be delayed for some period of time.

Parkinson’s disease is seen in about 6.3 million people of all races and culture. Impaired motor skills and cognition effects the diet of patient, nutrition and therefore compromises the general health and oral hygiene of the patient. As a result dental caries, Periodontitis and finally edentulism is commonly seen. Diligent handling with “Tender, Love and care” are required for treating such patients. The family of the patient should also be educated about the disease. This article reviews the etiology, clinical features, orofacial findings and the prosthodontic management of such patients.

It is necessary to manage infectious materials to prevent or reduce exposure of persons and the environment to potentially harmful bio-waste. Dental clinics generate a number of biomedical wastes, including the materials such as scrap amalgam, photochemical waste (developer and fi xer), lead foil from traditional X-ray packets, blood-soaked materials, human tissue, and disinfectants, which are challenging to the environment. Wise handling and disposing them is critical. Sound management of biomedical waste is thus a crucial component of environmental health protection. The purpose of this article is to discuss about various types of biomedical waste produced in the dentistry, different waste management practices, the hazards of indiscriminate disposal of biomedical waste and to create awareness among the dental profession, regarding minimizing the production of biomedical waste and dentists are encouraged to follow the best management practices, while disposing hazardous wastes.

[1] The identification of the victims during natural calamities and accidental deaths is a very difficult task and the early identification is of prime importance. There are many ways of identifying the bodies by the forensic experts in which the dentists in general and prosthodontists in particular plays a major role by identifying the victims with their natural teeth, caries teeth, restorations on the teeth like fillings or dental prostheses including crowns, partial, or complete dentures. Bridges [2] and implants [3] The experts also utilize palatal Rugoscopy [4] and DNA analysis [5] as an aid for the identification purpose. All these will become easy when the antemortem records are available, i.e., documentation of the patient details or the prosthodontic work must be labeled marked. There are many incidents in the history where the victims are
