The goal of our work is to determine the concentration sensitivity and the limit of detection of a planar microcoil of ellipsoidal geometry 1000 x 500 μm, fabricated using an electro plating technique and used as N MR receiver coil at 200 MHz. The maximum signal intensity on the NMR images and simulation of RF field distribution enables to define an active volume of 0. 09 µL. The localised spectroscopy based on a PRESS sequence shows that the concentration sensitivity is closed to SC=0.0272 mM-1, the limit of detection to 11 mM and the normalized limit of detection close to 390 (mM*s)-1/2.

If the electrical behaviour of 3D interconnections (redistribution metal lines and through silicon vias) used in 3D IC stack technologies are to be explored in this paper, the substrate itself is of interest, via Green Kernels by solving Poisson's equation analytically. Using this technique, the substrate coupling and loss in IC's can be analysed. We implement our algorithms in MATLAB. This method has been already used; but, it permits to extract impedances for a stacked uniform layers substrate. We have extended for any numbers of embedded contacts, of any shape. On a second hand, we grasp the background noise between any two points, in the bulk, or at the surface, from a transfer impedance extraction technique. With an analog algorithm, a strength of this work, we calculate unsteady solutions of the heat equati...

Research paper thumbnail of Modeling the effect of strong magnetic field on n-type MOSFET in strong inversion

2018 25th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (ICECS), 2018

This paper presents an approach to model the effect of magnetic field on the electrical behavior ... more This paper presents an approach to model the effect of magnetic field on the electrical behavior of MOS transistor. It is shown that an out-of-plane magnetic field B induces a reduction of the channel conductivity, and that this reduction is proportional to the square of B and the square of the carrier mobility. Providing an accurate model of the mobility versus the gate to source and drain to source voltages in all working conditions of the transistor, the effect of B on the MOS transistor can be accurately modeled. Experimental data in strong inversion and linear regime are in very good agreement with the proposed model.

Before the micromanufacturing process, we need to optimize the microprobe i.e. micro-coil + transmission line and the connecting path (wire-bonding, underpass&vias or airbridge) to get an optimal performance (high Qfactor and Noise signal Ratio (NSR)). An ANN model is developed from the simulated dataset and used to predict the optimal microprobe performance for a working frequency and the used substrate

The homogeneity of the magnetic field B0 can be improved by dividing a long magnets into several rings. The size of the useful volume depends on both the gap between each ring and some others shim magnets. Our aim is to enhance the sensitive volume and to maintain the highest magnetic static field (B0). This apparatus generates a B0 field strength of about 0.1 T. This work focuses on the magneto-static simulation of NdFeB magnets arrangement and on the comparison with the measurement of the magnetic field strength and homogeneity in three dimensions (3D). The homogeneity of the magnetic field B0 is optimized with the help of CAD and mathematical software. Our results were also validated with a Finite Element Method (FEM). The simulation results of the strength and of the homogeneity of B0 field were compared to those obtained with a digital gaussme...
