As opposed to the "superlens" based on negative index materials, our approach allows image magnification and is robust with respect to material losses.

The proposed planar dielectric lens is capable of subwavelength resolution and does not rely on either magnetic response or periodic patterning.

We demonstrate negative refraction in these metamaterials for wavelengths from 9¿15 ¿m over a wide range of incidence angles.

These resonant and non-resonant effects allow control over decay rates using a planar nanoscale structure.

Furthermore, we show that such systems can be used for 3D imaging, with a potential for subwavelength resolution.
