They account for a third of global population and mostly live in developing countries. This study aims to investigate ICT usage among Indonesian and Thai male and female Gen Y students in self-assessment of critical issues facing their future by 2030. A survey using questionnaires was conducted at the Institute of Community Development (APMD), Yogyakarta, Indonesia and Maejo University, Chang Mai, Thailand. Respondents were selected using random sampling. A total of 316 respondents as the sample of this study were made up of 128 Indonesian and 188 Thai students with response rate of 73.14% and 78.33%, respectively. The results showed that there were significant differences in ICT usage among Indonesian and Thai Gen Y students in their self-assessment toward critical issues they would face by 2030.

While prior studies have examined factors associated with return migration following disasters, an area that remains relatively under explored is whether moving home to one's original community results in improved health and well-being compared to other options such as deciding to move on. In the present study, we seek to address this gap in the literature through examining whether return migration, compared to other migration options, results in superior improvements to mental health. We draw upon data from a pilot study conducted 16 months after a series of volcanic eruptions in Merapi, Indonesia. Using ordinal logistic regression, we find that compared to respondents who were still displaced, respondents who had ``moved home'' were less likely to report poor mental health status (OR = 0.50 [95\% CI = 0.26, 0.95]). Likewise, respondents who had ``moved on'' were less likely to report poor me...

Indeed, migration is a standard survival strategy for those facing disruptions of this kind. Such is the case with Mt. Merapi, Indonesia, where a series of eruptions occurred in 2010. Mechanisms related to forced migration in such scenarios are fairly well understood, yet it remains less clear what factors may influence return migration. Given local interest in facilitating resettlement out of hazardous areas as a means of risk reduction, we seek to better understand the extent to which recovery aid may create incentives for households to move on rather than move home. We draw upon data collected from a pilot study in the aftermath of the 2010 eruptions and use multinomial logistic regression models to explore the influence of various forms of aid on migration status. Of the various forms of aid considered, financial recovery aid provided to households was consistently associated with moving on. The combination of financial re...

Those films supposed represent cultures of each nation, so that people can learn multiculturalism. However, those films create inversely. This study aims to know how foreign animation films affect on the rising of anti-multiculturalism among Indonesian parents. They are more likely to imitate their favorite animation stars by behaving violently, speaking harshly, and disrespectfully to parents. As a result parents tend to blame their children changing behavior on foreign cultures as bad and impolite compare to their own culture. Instead of encouraging better understanding on multiculturalism, foreign animation...
