Additionally, to analyze methodologic features of those assessing the methodologic quality/risk-of-bias. METHODS: PubMed database was searched. From 25,571 systematic reviews retrieved, a random sample of 1,025 was screened. Frequencies were used to describe outcomes. Unadjusted and adjusted logistic regressions were performed to test the associations with methodologic quality/risk-of-bias results assessment. In a second analysis, systematic reviews that assessed methodologic quality/risk of bias were dichotomized according to the design of included studies (randomized clinical trials-only versus non-randomized studies of intervention or a combination of both). RESULTS: 303 systematic reviews were fully analyzed. Methodologic quality/risk of bias was assessed by 278 (92%). Methodologic quality/ risk-of-bias assessment was associated with a higher number of databases searched (>4, P= 0.008), the presence of meta-analysis (P= 0.005), and the design of included studies (randomized clinical trialsonly, P= 0.042). The chance of using a suitable tool and a tool designed for risk-of-bias assessment rather than methodologic quality was higher for randomized clinical trials-only systematic reviews (P< 0.05). The most used tool was Cochrane's RoB Tool without a clear studies' overall risk classification system. CONCLUSION: methodologic quality/ risk-of-bias assessment was associated with included studies' design (randomized clinical trials-only), a meta-analysis of data, and the number of databases searched (>4). The most used tool was Cochrane's RoB Tool, with no clearly defined rating system. Methodologic quality/ risk-of-bias assessment methods description, results, and impacts on meta-analysis, the certainty of evidence, and systematic reviews' results are still to be consistently addressed.

Resin-based materials have been preheated by using different techniques and commercial devices. However, a consensus on the clinical protocol for cementing with preheated composite resins is lacking. e aim of this scoping review was to identify the different methods used for heating composite resins as used for cementing indirect adhesive restorations and to determine the benefits and limitations. Study Selection. A search was performed on PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane, Web of Science, Scopus, LIVIVO, and the nonpeer-reviewed literature database. Studies on preheating composite resins for cementing indirect restorations were included, with no restrictions on the type of study, year of publication, or language. e following data were extracted: preheating technique, the device used for preheating, preset temperature, and warming time. Results. In total, 304 studies were identified. After removing duplicates, 270 articles were selected, and 14 articles were included in the final evaluation. Half of the included studies reported similar preheating techniques using the Calset device for composite resins. e temperatures of 54°C and 68°C were most frequently reported, with a mean warming time of 5 minutes. Conclusions. Preheating composite resins for the cementation of indirect restorations reduces viscosity, but the material must be used promptly after removal from the device. Practical Implications. Different methodologies for preheating composite resins have been reported and used in clinical dental practice. To achieve good results and guide the clinician on use, the techniques for heating composite resins for cementation need to be standardized. Keeping the material warm until the restorative procedure, the thickness of the indirect restoration, and the composition of the composite resins can directly affect the outcome of the procedure.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of different immersion times in different storage media on multimode adhesive bonding between reattached fragments and teeth. Materials and Methods A total of 195 bovine incisors were fractured and randomized into the following storage groups (n=15): G0-control group (sound tooth); GA-saline solution: for 1 h (A1) or 24 h (A2); GB-artificial saliva: for 1 h (B1) or 24 h (B2); GC-coconut water: for 1 h (C1) or 24 h (C2); GD-tap water: for 1 h (D1) or 24 h (D2); GE-milk: for 1 h (E1) or 24 h (E2); GF-dry (dehydration): for 1 h (F1) or 24 h (F2). Tooth fragments were then reattached using a multimode adhesive in a self-mode technique with a flowable resin composite. Fracture resistance was evaluated in a universal testing machine under a compressive load (1 mm/min). The data were submitted to two-way analysis of variance and the post hoc Tukey test (5%). Results The group submitted to the dehydration factor (GF) exhibited a mean value of 599.1 ± 144.2 N, while those submitted to all hydration protocols (GA, GB, GC, GD, GE) exhibited a mean value of 751.8 ± 285.4 N. Dehydration significantly affected the fracture strength values (p=0.005). No significant interaction between the rewetting solutions was observed (p>0.05). Conclusions Hydration of the tooth fragment increased fracture resistance, regardless of the storage solution and/or immersion time.

Prevalence of symptoms of temporomandibular disorders, oral behaviors, anxiety, and depression in... more Prevalence of symptoms of temporomandibular disorders, oral behaviors, anxiety, and depression in Dentistry students during the period of social isolation due to COVID-19 Temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD), anxiety, and depression are disorders that, due to the current lifestyle, are affecting an increasing portion of the population. Investigating the prevalence of the symptoms of these disorders during the quarantine due to the coronavirus 2019 pandemic (COVID-19) is important to outline clinical strategies for patient care. Objective: This study assessed the prevalence of TMD symptoms, anxiety, depression, and oral behaviors and their associations during the social isolation due to COVID-19. Methodology: Questionnaires were used to assess TMD symptoms in accordance with the Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders: clinical protocol and assessment instruments, a questionnaire to verify oral behaviors and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale to assess symptoms of anxiety and depression in students of dentistry at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Brasília in May 2020. Qualitative data were subjected to descriptive statistics and chi-squared analysis (p<0.05). The relationship between quantitative and qualitative data was evaluated using Spearman's rho correlation (p<0.05). Results: There was a high prevalence of TMD symptoms, anxiety, and depression in the participants, resulting in association between gender and anxiety symptoms (p=0.029). There was a positive correlation between oral behaviors and TMD symptoms (r=0.364; p<0.001), between oral behaviors and anxiety symptoms (r=0.312; p=0.001), and between oral behaviors and symptoms of depression (r=0.216; p=0.021). Conclusion: Social isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic has an impact on the prevalence of TMD symptoms, anxiety, and depression.

Moreover, they also contribute to the maintenance of the porcelain margin and original color of the restoration. 2 Adhesive cementation can be achieved using resin cements, 3,4 which are typically modified composite resins with a higher fluidity to improve flow during cementation. 5 Conventional cementation methods

Is there a connective relationship between the degree of possessing of basic education principles and the degree of practicing them. The sample of study consisted of (32) mathematics teachers in the basic stage. The instrument of study covered a questionnaire consisted of (14) items. The validity of the questionnaire and its reliability had been assured; the possession reliability coefficient amounted to (0.90) and (0.88) for practice. The researcher employed the appropriate statistical techniques, such as arithmetic means and standard deviations, and Pearson's Correlation coefficient for examining the strength of relationship between both degrees of possession and practice. Results of study deduced that mathematics teachers in the Basic stage possess Basic Education principles, as a whole, at a medium degree, where it was conspicuous that they possess (4) principles of the Basic Education principles at a high degree, (5) principles at a medium degree and (5) principles at a little degree, meanwhile mathematics teachers in the Basic stage practice the Basic Education principles as a whole at a medium degree too, where it was cleared that they practice (4) principles of the Basic Education principles at a great degree, (5) principles at a medium degree and (5) at a little degree. Results also deduced existence of positive connection, stab, (5) principles at a medium degree and (5) at a little degree. Results also deduced existence of positive connection, statistically significant at (α< 0.05) between the degree of possessing the Basic Education principles and the degree of practicing them at mathematics teachers in the Basic Stage.
