In Chinese Literature History (CLH) course, the most difficult material faced by students of the Chinese Language Education Study Program at State University of Malang (CLESP UM) is fairy tales and legends. Students said that this theme will be easier to understand if it is presentive in audio form. Therefore, this study aimed to describe the use of the TeaTime Chinese 茶歇中文 [Chá Xiē Zhōngwén] podcast in the CLH course by means of students of the CLESP UM and to describe students responses to the utilization of the podcast media. This research used descriptive qualitative method with observation and questionnaire sheets as instruments. In contrast to technological developments, teaching materials for Arbeit am Text courses studied by students at Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) are still conventional and have not received sufficient attention for a long time. On the other hand, the course that focuses on German reading skills has an important goal, namely, to improve student literacy. Therefore, this study aims to develop multimodal-based teaching materials for Arbeit am Text courses. In this research and development, researchers used the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research aimed to describe the usage of Google Sites as an interactive media for German lang... more This research aimed to describe the usage of Google Sites as an interactive media for German language learning of grade X students of SMA Laboratorium UM in hybrid learning mode and to find out students' responses to the use of the applied media. The method used by the researcher was descriptive qualitative, while the research data were gathered from the observation conducted by three observers and questionnaire for 30 students of class X across German language interests. The results depict that the hybrid German learning process using Google Sites went properly. The interactive learning media could be used easily during learning. Students at school and at home were able to access the learning materials, games, practice questions, assessment results, and attendance list easily by opening the Google Sites link and selecting the appropriate web page attached to the media. According to students, these sites can be operated conveniently using cellphones, tablets or laptops that are connected to the internet. In addition, the display of the media is also attractive and feasible because the subject matter is presented with colorful pictures, audio, and video. Therefore, students are more enthusiastic and motivated to learn German by using Google Sites.

The research method in this study was descriptive qualitative. Sources of data were 36 students of 10th grade IPS 2 SMAN 9 Malang, while data were obtained through two different techniques, namely observations and interviews. The results showed that the independent learning process through the FunEasyLearn application went well. This also helps students to build their independent learning skills. During the learning process, students were responsible for completing the exercises in the apps independently. Furthermore, they had no difficulty in operating the apps. They were also interested and motivated to learn German with the help of FunEasyLearn because it has colorful and illustrated features as well and various exercises so that easier for them to understand the material. This research used the descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected through observation and questionnaire. Sources of data in this study were 23 students of class XI Language SMA Negeri 9 Malang.This research indicates that the show and tell strategy can train students to speak German enthusiastically and confidently without fear. Students also showed a good response during learning by using the show and tell. Based on the description above, the show and tell can help students practice speaking a foreign language.

This article explains the results of research that aimed to describe the application of the Disco... more This article explains the results of research that aimed to describe the application of the Discovery Learning model to practice students’ mastery of German vocabulary, especially in the “Wohnung” theme and to find out students' responses to the application of this model in learning German.This research used descriptive qualitative method, by which the researcher was the key instrument and the data were gathered using supporting instruments, namely observation sheets and questionnaire sheets. Furthermore, the data sources were 22 students of class XI IBB SMA Negeri 1 Gondanglegi. The results showes that the application of Discovery Learning model to train students' German vocabulary mastery worked successfully as planned. In addition, this learning model is able to make students think critically, creatively, collaboratively, and more actively during learning process. Kekurangan Kampung Anyam Rotan ini adalah dari segi promosi dan penguatan branding yang merupakan ujung tombak untuk mendatangkan wisatawan sehingga membutuhkan penguatan yang dapat menciptakan suasana (ambience) konsep desa wisata. Tujuan pengabdian yaitu melatih ketrampilan warga membuat produk pot artistik mix decoupage yang selanjutnya akan dapat di jadikan tata fasade yang menarik perhatian pengunjung. Metode pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) atau Pemahaman Partisipatif Kondisi Pedesaan (PRA) dengan tahapan Pelaksanaan program dibagi menjadi tiga bagian yaitu: (1) Tahapan mengidentifikasi produk dan mensosialisasi; (2) Tahapan praktek produksi dan pendampingan; (3) Tahap monitoring dan evaluasi; (4) Tahapan evaluasi. Produk yang dihasilkan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pot bunga rotan yang dihias dengan decoupage.

Kondisi pandemi Covid-19 menuntut asesmen harus dilakukan secara daring untuk tetap menilai pengetahuan dan keterampilan pembelajar pada kelas virtual. Banyak aplikasi atau platform yang dapat digunakan oleh guru untuk membuat asesmen daring salah satunya adalah ProProfs. ProProfs merupakan salah satu platform asesmen daring yang menyajikan banyak fitur menarik. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman kepada guru Bahasa Jerman dalam menyusun instrumen asesmen daring yang menarik menggunakan platform ProProfs untuk jenis soal pilihan ganda, hotspot, dan permainan hangman. There are two purposes of this research: firstly, describing the use of Chinese picture story boo... more There are two purposes of this research: firstly, describing the use of Chinese picture story books 一 只大肥猫 (yī zhǐ dà féi māo) to practice the students' reading skill of grade X of SMA Negeri 1 Turen, and secondly, describing the students' responses to the use of the determined picture story book. This research used qualitative descriptive approach, which its qualitative data were taken from 14 students and also the learning process, using supporting instruments, namely observation sheets and questionnaire sheets. The researcher herself acted as the main instrument of this research by carrying out the data collection and analysis activities. The gathered data were then analyzed qualitatively. Finally, the results showed that the learning process using the Chinese picture story book (yī zhǐ dà féi māo) as a medium for practicing the reading skills went well, although there were problems with the internet connection. According to the students' responses, it can be concluded that the Chinese picture story book (yī zhǐ dà féi māo) is not only able to attract their interest in practicing reading skill but also can make the Chinese learning more fun and less boring.

The purpose of this research and development is to produce a learning media called "Karho" (kartu... more The purpose of this research and development is to produce a learning media called "Karho" (kartu hotel/hotel cards)which can help students practice their Mandarin reading skill. This product discusses personal information in the area of hospitality, especially for the theme of booking a room. The "Karho" media consists of 60 cards, a material sheet, an answer key sheet, an instruction sheet, and its package. The research model used is ADDIE with its five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Moreover, the qualitative data were collected using questionnaire sheets not only for both material experts and media experts, but also for the students as the users of the learning media. In addition, the developed product has been validated by the experts and also has been tested on ten grade X students of SMK Tumapel Malang in the hotel accommodation. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the "Karho" media is suitable to be applied for learning Mandarin and can also help students practice their Mandarin reading skill.

Dampakperilaku maladaptive pada remaja seperti tawuran antar pelajar, merokok, minum-minuman keras, mengkonsumsi obat-obat terlarang.Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga terhadap perilaku maladaptif remaja di SMP Patriot Peterongan Jombang. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif analitik dengan metode Cross Sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 88 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Alat ukur menggunakan kuesioner, hasil uji statistik Chi-Square dengan taraf signifikan (α=0,05). The qualitative descriptive method was used by researcher in conducting this research. There are 31 students of class X Religion MAN 1 Malang as the data sources of this study. The instruments used by researcher for data collection were questionnaire sheets and observation sheets. The results of this study indicate that the application of Quizizz media to train the German listening skill of studentin class X MAN 1 Malang took place smoothly and conducively. In addition, students said that Quizizzis an interesting medium to be used in German course because this media has interesting features and appearances in the form of audio and images.

The Covid-19 outbreak has affected the structures of people's lifestyles a lot. Education is one ... more The Covid-19 outbreak has affected the structures of people's lifestyles a lot. Education is one of the most affected sectors by it. The learning process that has been going on for decades by face-to-face approach, it must be now carried out to be online learning in order to prevent the virus outbreak. Various studies revealed that many challenges must be faced due to sudden changes in the learning approach. Hence, using qualitative approach with a case-study method, this study described the characteristics of the German learning process in SMA Negeri 1 Kertosono during the Covid-19 pandemic era. It was revealed that the first year of the German learning process in SMA Negeri Kertosono has not yet been ideal. There are still many obstacles, challenges, and difficulties. These are (1) limited availability of learning resources and time allocation, (2) lack of variations in learning methods and (3) insufficient use of technology-based learning platforms and media.

This research aims to describe the application of the dictogloss technique for Mandarin listening skill of students in the class XI Lintas Minat Mandarin SMAN 2 Malang and describe the responses of the students towards the dictogloss technique. This research used a qualitative approach and descriptive research type. The data of this research are based on the observation of three observers, and questionnaires were distributed to the students. The study shows that the application of dictogloss technique went smoothly by following the lesson plan. Students can listen to the discourse well, although there are students who face internet network problems when reconstructing discourse with a group. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it can be seen that dictogloss technique is a fun and exciting technique to be implemented in the learning of Mandarin listening skill. The application of dictogloss techniques can also train their Mandarin listening skill. In addition, students are able to learn to cooperate with groups in reconstructing discourse.

This research is aimed to describe the process of implementing the Audiolingual method for Mandar... more This research is aimed to describe the process of implementing the Audiolingual method for Mandarin pronunciation practice by students of class XI MIPA (Mathematic and Natural Sciences) 3 at SMAN 6 Malang and the students' responses to the applied method. The research was qualitative research using a qualitative descriptive analysis method. The data sources in this research were 17 students of class XI MIPA 3 at SMAN 6 Malang. Moreover, the researcher played the role as the main instrument in the data collection that was supported by other instruments such as observation sheets and questionnaire sheets. Based on the result, it can be seen that the learning process using the Audio-Lingual method ran well and smoothly. Besides, students also responded that the applied method could increase their enthusiasm and confidence in learning Mandarin language. In addition, the method might help them practice pronouncing Mandarin tones properly.

This research used the descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected through observation and questionnaire. Sources of data in this study were 23 students of class XI Language SMA Negeri 9 Malang.This research indicates that the show and tell strategy can train students to speak German enthusiastically and confidently without fear. Students also showed a good response during learning by using the show and tell. Based on the description above, the show and tell can help students practice speaking a foreign language.

This article explains the results of research that aimed to describe the application of the Disco... more This article explains the results of research that aimed to describe the application of the Discovery Learning model to practice students’ mastery of German vocabulary, especially in the “Wohnung” theme and to find out students' responses to the application of this model in learning German.This research used descriptive qualitative method, by which the researcher was the key instrument and the data were gathered using supporting instruments, namely observation sheets and questionnaire sheets. Furthermore, the data sources were 22 students of class XI IBB SMA Negeri 1 Gondanglegi. The results showes that the application of Discovery Learning model to train students' German vocabulary mastery worked successfully as planned. In addition, this learning model is able to make students think critically, creatively, collaboratively, and more actively during learning process. Kekurangan Kampung Anyam Rotan ini adalah dari segi promosi dan penguatan branding yang merupakan ujung tombak untuk mendatangkan wisatawan sehingga membutuhkan penguatan yang dapat menciptakan suasana (ambience) konsep desa wisata. Tujuan pengabdian yaitu melatih ketrampilan warga membuat produk pot artistik mix decoupage yang selanjutnya akan dapat di jadikan tata fasade yang menarik perhatian pengunjung. Metode pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) atau Pemahaman Partisipatif Kondisi Pedesaan (PRA) dengan tahapan Pelaksanaan program dibagi menjadi tiga bagian yaitu: (1) Tahapan mengidentifikasi produk dan mensosialisasi; (2) Tahapan praktek produksi dan pendampingan; (3) Tahap monitoring dan evaluasi; (4) Tahapan evaluasi. There are two purposes of this research: firstly, describing the use of Chinese picture story boo... more There are two purposes of this research: firstly, describing the use of Chinese picture story books 一 只大肥猫 (yī zhǐ dà féi māo) to practice the students' reading skill of grade X of SMA Negeri 1 Turen, and secondly, describing the students' responses to the use of the determined picture story book. This research used qualitative descriptive approach, which its qualitative data were taken from 14 students and also the learning process, using supporting instruments, namely observation sheets and questionnaire sheets. The researcher herself acted as the main instrument of this research by carrying out the data collection and analysis activities. The gathered data were then analyzed qualitatively. Finally, the results showed that the learning process using the Chinese picture story book (yī zhǐ dà féi māo) as a medium for practicing the reading skills went well, although there were problems with the internet connection. According to the students' responses, it can be concluded that the Chinese picture story book (yī zhǐ dà féi māo) is not only able to attract their interest in practicing reading skill but also can make the Chinese learning more fun and less boring.

The purpose of this research and development is to produce a learning media called "Karho" (kartu... more The purpose of this research and development is to produce a learning media called "Karho" (kartu hotel/hotel cards)which can help students practice their Mandarin reading skill. This product discusses personal information in the area of hospitality, especially for the theme of booking a room. The "Karho" media consists of 60 cards, a material sheet, an answer key sheet, an instruction sheet, and its package. The research model used is ADDIE with its five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Moreover, the qualitative data were collected using questionnaire sheets not only for both material experts and media experts, but also for the students as the users of the learning media. In addition, the developed product has been validated by the experts and also has been tested on ten grade X students of SMK Tumapel Malang in the hotel accommodation. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the "Karho" media is suitable to be applied for learning Mandarin and can also help students practice their Mandarin reading skill.

Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif analitik dengan metode Cross Sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 88 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Alat ukur menggunakan kuesioner, hasil uji statistik Chi-Square dengan taraf signifikan (α=0,05). The qualitative descriptive method was used by researcher in conducting this research. There are 31 students of class X Religion MAN 1 Malang as the data sources of this study. The instruments used by researcher for data collection were questionnaire sheets and observation sheets. The results of this study indicate that the application of Quizizz media to train the German listening skill of studentin class X MAN 1 Malang took place smoothly and conducively. In addition, students said that Quizizzis an interesting medium to be used in German course because this media has interesting features and appearances in the form of audio and images.

Education is one of the most affected sectors by it. The learning process that has been going on for decades by face-to-face approach, it must be now carried out to be online learning in order to prevent the virus outbreak. Various studies revealed that many challenges must be faced due to sudden changes in the learning approach. Hence, using qualitative approach with a case-study method, this study described the characteristics of the German learning process in SMA Negeri 1 Kertosono during the Covid-19 pandemic era. It was revealed that the first year of the German learning process in SMA Negeri Kertosono has not yet been ideal. There are still many obstacles, challenges, and difficulties. These are (1) limited availability of learning resources and time allocation, (2) lack of variations in learning methods and (3) insufficient use of technology-based learning platforms and media.

This research aims to describe the application of the dictogloss technique for Mandarin listening skill of students in the class XI Lintas Minat Mandarin SMAN 2 Malang and describe the responses of the students towards the dictogloss technique. This research used a qualitative approach and descriptive research type. The data of this research are based on the observation of three observers, and questionnaires were distributed to the students. The study shows that the application of dictogloss technique went smoothly by following the lesson plan. Students can listen to the discourse well, although there are students who face internet network problems when reconstructing discourse with a group. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it can be seen that dictogloss technique is a fun and exciting technique to be implemented in the learning of Mandarin listening skill. The application of dictogloss techniques can also train their Mandarin listening skill. In addition, students are able to learn to cooperate with groups in reconstructing discourse.

This research is aimed to describe the process of implementing the Audiolingual method for Mandar... more This research is aimed to describe the process of implementing the Audiolingual method for Mandarin pronunciation practice by students of class XI MIPA (Mathematic and Natural Sciences) 3 at SMAN 6 Malang and the students' responses to the applied method. The research was qualitative research using a qualitative descriptive analysis method. The data sources in this research were 17 students of class XI MIPA 3 at SMAN 6 Malang. Moreover, the researcher played the role as the main instrument in the data collection that was supported by other instruments such as observation sheets and questionnaire sheets. Based on the result, it can be seen that the learning process using the Audio-Lingual method ran well and smoothly. Besides, students also responded that the applied method could increase their enthusiasm and confidence in learning Mandarin language. In addition, the method might help them practice pronouncing Mandarin tones properly.
