Research paper thumbnail of Temperature and strain sensor based on weak LPG and fiber ring down

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2008

The sensing devices consist of two matched fiber Bragg gratings, a section of single mode fiber, a WLPG, a pulsed laser source, and a photodiode. The LPG incorporated in fiber ring cavity is used as sensing element, the induced resonance wavelength shift of which will cause an additional loss in the cavity. As a result, the amplitude of applied temperature variation or strain can be obtained by simply measuring the fiber ring down time. The proposed sensing system has advantages of easy configuration and rapid response. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This choice makes routers' selection being local. This paper first proposes router selecting algorithm based on location diversity and RTT; then a hierarchical location-diversity-based low-delay anonymous communication framework is presented. This framework's security is analyzed and a simulation experiment and result analysis is given. The theoretic analysis and simulation experiment indicate that the HLLACF can prevent AS-Level passive attack and other similar attacks well while decreasing communication delay and HLLACF also scales well.

Research paper thumbnail of Dynamic evaluation of maximum power point tracking operation with PV array simulator

Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells, 2003

The PV array I-V curve simulator is a kind of indoor testing facility and easy to be adopted by industries. Basic functions are given by a specially designed PV array I-V curve simulator composed of the active power load. Most of the parameters are controllable by sophisticated software with capability of treating a lot of 1-s data for a very long period of time. In this paper, detailed structure of the equipment is described and test examples are also given by using a commercial PV inverter. r (H. Research paper thumbnail of InGaAs Spectrometer and FP Filter Combined FBG Sensing Multiplexing Technique

IEEE/OSA Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2008

A novel fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensing multiplexing system based on the combination of InGaAs ... more A novel fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensing multiplexing system based on the combination of InGaAs spectrometer and Fabry-Perot (F-P) filter (InGaAs/F-P) is proposed. The multiplexing system only demodulates FBG sensors whose peak wavelengths are shifting. The demodulation can be sequenced according to each sensor's priority, latency time and wavelength shifting. What is more, the monitor section of that system is not influenced by environmental temperature and source intensity fluctuations. At the average signal repeat rate of 6Hz, the average delay time of the conventional wavelength-and spatial-division combined system, the long period grating (LPG) combined system and the InGaAs/F-P system are 303, 97, and 6 ms, respectively. Simulation analysis and experiment work demonstrated that the InGaAs/F-P system is more rational and smart than other counterparts.

According to the sizes of entity polymeric degrees, the method for dividing subject databases is presented to obtain the core entity pair, which is used to polymerize the same entity between the other second entity pair and the core one. The entity pair is calculated with weighted polymeric degrees to divide into some subject databases based on the core entity pairs. The example compares the calculation results of the affinitive degree matrix and the polymeric degree matrix, which shows that it is distinctly reflect the affinity and the trend among entities by creating subject databases based on the polymeric degree

Detailed measurements performed around the zero crossing of the short-circuit current during short-line fault tests allow characteristic variables and curves to be defined, which can then be used to evaluate the breaking capacity of the circuit breaker. The paper describes these characteristic variables, which can be used in conjunction with mechanical design parameters to design circuit breakers for high breaking capacity operation.
