The pervious concrete is produced by using conventional cementitious materials, aggregates, water and chemical admixtures – titanium-dioxide (TiO 2) 1 and super plasticizer. This concrete is tested for its properties, such as compressive strength, split tensile and water permeability. The most important property of pervious concrete is its drainage facility 2 through permeability. Currently, there is no standard experimental procedure to determine this property. A method was therefore developed to determine the water permeability. The use of titanium di oxide is found to be enhanced the permeability in pervious concrete by oxidizing the pollutants and helping in washing down the clogged particles from the pores during rainy season. To improve the drainage facility and to restore of ground water table, the pervious concrete is blended with 2% of Titanium oxide (TiO 2) of grade M35 and experimentally investigated on samples with aggregate ratios 3 (course aggragate : fine aggregate) 80:20 and 90:10. After studying the mechanical properties of control mix pervious concrete and TiO 2 blended pervious concrete mix in the form of cubes and cylinders, the performance of TiO 2 concrete is found to be enhanced its in terms of compressive strength and drainage facilities.

For this to happen, we need to incorporate and apply production and organizational techniques from other more advanced sectors. For this, the application of lean production principles to the construction industry-known as lean construction-takes on special importance. This study deals with the various lean practices which should be adopted to achieve lean construction. Lean tools used to achieve lean principles are mentioned below. Also Value Stream Mapping(VSM) a lean tool has been used to take survey at two different construction sites located at Adyar and Chrompet. The observation from survey reveals the time spent on non productive activities and the means of reducing them as a goal towards attainment of lean construction.

The construction industry shows that almost no project performs totally as planned. Dynamic changes are frequently required in different management plans. These changes can be ascribed to the high uncertainty in the planning phase of a construction project, which can be evaluated as potential causes of risks and risks can be in turn evaluated as potential causes of changes in different project management plans like scheduling, costing, inventory, etc. The knowledge collected from different sources can reduce the uncertainty and, consequently, the error rate in the planning phase. Accordingly, lesser changes will be needed within the execution phase. For this reason, a delay analysis report is documented in an explicit way to enable all the interested people to share and use their experiences properly. In this paper, a delay analysis report is prepared based on the data collected by questionnaire survey from the various commercial building projects. The construction projects till date are facing different uncertainties during the execution phase. These uncertainties are unidentified and due to which time and cost overrun are happening in the projects. Thus case studies are done to identify the most influencing factors among the 50 influencing factors from 17 different commercial building projects. It will suggest the various remedial measures and recommendations for controlling the time and cost overrun. The dynamic scheduling is the updated schedule of the project at the instant of time. Among the suggested remedial measures, the dynamic scheduling technique is particularly focussed and a dynamic scheduling algorithm is developed. Ultimately, this paper will help in preparing the dynamic schedule of similar type of construction projects, based on the potential problems arose during the execution phase.
