It consists of an Oscillator, Step-up transformer, Voltage Multiplier and Feedback loop for stabilizing the output. The oscillator is spilt into IC timers suitable for astable and monostable mode using with high frequency of 9.36 KHz that leads to ferrite core small X-former. The output voltage of this type of HVPS has been fixed at 555V to 575V can be used in the nuclear field for very low current biasing semiconductor detectors and gas-field detectors like ZP1324 for prototype nuclear counting system.

Adsorption of the dye results in a change of the structural, morphological and optical characteristics of the photoanode. In this work, we present a comparative study on the adsorption effect of natural dye (Curcuma Longa sp.) on the structural, morphological and optical properties of mesoporous titanium dioxide (TiO2) photoanode on indium tin oxide (ITO) coated glass. A number of investigations including XRD, UV-Vis spectroscopy, EDS, and SEM were carried out to observe the variations due to adsorbed dye on TiO2 surface. XRD characterization revealed the effect of dye adsorption on specific surface area (SSA), crystallite size, and morphological index (MI). In this case, increasing SSA with decreasing particle size was found for both dye adsorbed and dye free DSSC photoanode samples. Also, the MI and SSA were found to be directly and inversely proportional to the crystallit...

In Atomic Energy Research Establishment (AERE), Savar, Dhaka there are many sophisticated scientific instruments in the laboratories. It is very important to provide a stable and less harmonic distorted power to the load instruments. Because instrument may damage due to unstable supply voltage, unstable line frequency and high harmonic distorted mains power. In this point of view, we are interested to analysis the quality of the mains power of AERE. This paper will attempt to explain the concept of the quality of the mains power and its effect on electrical equipment. We first record a

Semiconductor electronic and optical devices are used in space, nuclear reactor, particle acceler... more Semiconductor electronic and optical devices are used in space, nuclear reactor, particle accelerator for data acquisition, processing, and power control systems. Gamma ray is inherent in these types of environment. Thus, the semiconductor materials used in the installed device interacts with gamma ray altering properties of semiconductors significantly. Therefore, the effect of gamma ray needs to be explored before applying a material in a radiation-exposed environment. In this work, CuO thin film, a p-type potential compound semiconductor for optoelectronics and photonics device, was fabricated by Doctor-blade method on a glass substrate and irradiated with Cobalt-60 gamma radiation source. For the first time, the effects of absorbed dose on morphological, structural, and optical properties on CuO thin film were investigated by SEM, XRD, and UV-vis-NIR spectroscopic analyses. Significant variations in optical bandgap, transmittance, absorbance, crystallite size, lattice strain, an...

The most popular type of timer is the programmable timer that has various facilities to configure the timer by users. However, it is expensive to build such timer using ICs and discrete components. Moreover, when programmable timer is used for laboratory instruments, it is expected to be flexible to handle. Microcontroller has the potential to solve these constraints. In this development work, we have developed a microcontroller based programmable timer with digital display system that can be configured to connect the AC main line to the instruments for a specific time interval. This device can function in two modes: manual mode and programmable mode. In the programmable mode, the device connects AC main line to the power outlet for a set interval. The device has been designed and tested in the laboratory.

However, this conventional scanning approach has some drawbacks such as flicker, lower luminous intensity, requirement of high speed LED driver, etc., specifically for large LED dot-matrix display. This paper brings forward the analysis of scanning method clarifying the limitations of conventional scanning approach with several critical design parameters. After that, a new scanning approach, congenial to both small and large has been proposed to get over these limitations. Eventually, simulation of the mathematical models of the two methods are expounded that points to the vital design parameters constraints along with the advantages of new method. The mathematical models and analyses give understanding of system design approach to the LED driver circuit designers to estimate various design parameters.
