This functional reality has led to the emergence of the socialization simulation universe created through screens. Indicators can be produced in the simulation universe. This reproducible reality makes itself visible through communication technology screens. For this reason, The Black Mirror series, which makes a dystopian concretization of the future world and conveys it through screens, is the sample of the study. In the series, the indicators in the simulation universe are in reproduction. The study is limited by Jean Baudriallards simulation theory. In this context, The Black Mirror; series, which we used as a sample in our research, reveals how the developments in communication technologies have affected humanity with the advancement of technology at this point and mirrors the present and the future. The series shows how technology, which is believed to make people's lives easier, actually surrounds and destroys these lives. The Black Mirror series conveys the results of the combination of technology and psychology in the simulation universe where everything is twinned. The episodes in the three seasons of the series were selected in the study. Among these chapters, The Entire History, Be Right Back, and Nosedive chapters are analyzed using a semiotic analysis method. As a result of the examination, findings were presented on the invisible face of the digital age. The research has predicted results by questioning a dystopic future by examining the possible problems that may arise with the development of technology.

In screenwriting theory, character development in sense of personality, motivation, truth, power and, entity, a form of recognition, etc. of characters are demonstrated through cinematographic preferences. These preferences are examined under three main topics according to David Bordwell and Kristin Thompson: Photographic scope of the shot, the frame of the shot, and duration of the shot. In Turkish Cinema, Nuri Bilge Ceylan is one of the few directors who use the strong effect of cinematography on their characters. In his films, transformation phases of the characters are supported significantly through cinematography. In this study, forms of cinematographical presentation of the characters in Nuri Bilge Ceylan's cinema are interpreted by adopting cinematographical narrative description method of Bordwell and Thompson. In this context, character presentations of "Prosecutor Nusret" from the movie "Once Upon a Time in Anatolia" and "Sinan" from the movie "The Wild Pear Tree" are taken as examples, and it's concluded that Nuri Bilge Ceylan's cinema has its unique spot in Turkish Cinema.

Especially in the movies made after the 1990s, the places where the movies shot, the narratives based upon that places and having the central importance of the mood implying by periphery have had a great contribution. In the period of the second half of the 1990s a quantitative increase and a change of perspective have occurred in the narrative of the periphery. What is the reason addressing periphery at the wide range from popular cinema to critical politic movies and art movies? This study aims to reveal the sociological and philosophical reasons which underlies the tending of New Turkish Cinema towards the periphery narratives. This study also aims to produce a conception on the reasons of the production of the periphery as an aesthetic form, in other words, the development of the periphery as a cinematographic narrative form in these films in which the subject and the place is periphery. In this context, the study has been classified many provincial films shot since the late 1990s until today through the sociological and philosophical perspective. 50 of these films are directly related to the provincial life and take place in the periphery, the others are films in which periphery significantly contributes to the semantic world of the films through the character, place or narrative elements although their stories have not been set in the periphery. Through this classification it aims to reveal meaningful inferences on the reasons of the settling of the periphery on the central position and periphery problematic arising from the increase in quantity.
