This activity was conducted at Adami Tulu Jedo Kombolcha and Negele Arsi districts of West Arsi a... more This activity was conducted at Adami Tulu Jedo Kombolcha and Negele Arsi districts of West Arsi and East Shoa zones with the objective of creating wider demand for animal feed chopper technology, strengthening stakeholder’s linkage for the future scaling up of the technology. With these objectives, the comparison of the technology was done with the traditional way of chopping animal feed chopping practice. It also replicated over four research sites. The result from the finding indicated that animal feed chopper technology had a chopping capacity of 464kg/hr on average with one operator. Whereas traditional animal feed chopping practices using locally available material took 58kg/hr on average with one operator. This finding indicated us animal feed chopper technology had a huge advantage in terms of time minimizing and quality of animal feed being chopped. Data was collected from farmers, DAs, and woreda expertise. Data collected from different stakeholders and data collected during the accomplishment of the research revealed that; the technology had a chopping capacity of about 800%. In addition to this, the technology has many advantages over traditional practice in terms of labor-saving, time-saving, and cost minimization. Two micro interposes were selected from two woredas and practical and theoretical training was given to them. Finally, the linkage between different stakeholders was made for further scaling up of the technology.

The clustering flower approach markedly improves learners' conceptual understanding, motivation, ... more The clustering flower approach markedly improves learners' conceptual understanding, motivation, engagement, and critical thinking, evidenced by considerable advancements in several educational measures. This action research sought to enhance the conceptual comprehension in English among Grade 8 pupils. The research utilized a classroom-based action research methodology, recruiting 33 students by purposive sampling from a public secondary school in Ozamiz City during the 2023-2024 academic year. A researcher-developed pre-test and post-test were utilized for data collection, with analysis involving the calculation of the mean and standard deviation, as well as the execution of a t-test. The study employed statistical tools like frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. Thematic analysis was conducted via HyperResearch to identify prevalent and emerging themes. Prior to the use of clustering techniques, the students' conceptual grasp was inadequate; however, following the intervention, their performance improved to a satisfactory level. The integration of the clustered flower method is an effective tool for improving students' conceptual comprehension in English.

Increasing student engagement and participation in classroom activities is a critical challenge f... more Increasing student engagement and participation in classroom activities is a critical challenge faced by educators. Finding effective strategies to motivate students and foster active involvement can significantly impact their academic performance and overall learning experience. The study was conducted to enhance Grade 8 students' participation in English class through the implementation of Board Points during the academic year 2023-2024 at one of the secondary schools in Ozamiz City, Philippines. The research utilized a classroom-based action research design, employing purposive sampling to select 32 students as participants. Data collection used a researcher-made instrument, specifically a Likert scale, to measure student participation levels. The analysis included calculating the mean and standard deviation, conducting a T-test to identify significant differences before and after the intervention, and thematic analysis with the aid of Hyper Research. Findings reveal that before implementing the Board Points system, the level of student participation was moderately high. After the intervention, participation significantly improved, reaching a very high level, thus demonstrating the system's effectiveness in enhancing engagement. The study also showed a highly significant difference in participation levels before and after the intervention. Additional positive developments among learners included an increased sense of achievement, strengthened peer relationships, and improved academic performance. These results suggest that the Board Points system is valuable for boosting student engagement in English classes. Based on these findings, it is recommended that English teachers and educators in other subjects consider integrating the Board Points system into their teaching strategies to enhance student participation and engagement.

It encourages quick plant growth and enhances grain quality and production through increased protein synthesis, tillering, leaf area development, grain formation and filling. Urea is one of the greatest and popular sources of nitrogen. Rice production is hampered when nitrogen fertilizer, particularly urea, is unavailable during crucial times (flood, sowing season, drought). Studies in different literature have shown that applying nitrogen fertilizer as foliar application in addition to the soil application increases its efficiency. A study was carried out to observe the theme “Evaluation of effectiveness of foliar application of urea fertilizer on growth, development and yield of BRRI Dhan 84 in Rajshahi region’’ in the field of Agronomy and Agricultural extension Department Field, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh from December 2023-April 2024. Six different percentage of urea as foliar application with BRRI Dhan-84 rice variety were used for this study. 1. T1= N0% Control, 2. T2= 65% of recommended dose (N 50% as SA + 15% as FA), 3. T3= 70% of recommended dose (N50% as SA + 20% as FA), 4. T4= 75% of recommended dose (N50 % as SA + 25 % as FA), 5. T5= 80% of recommended dose (N60% as SA + 20% as FA), 6. T6= N100% Soil application (Traditional practice). A randomized complete block design with three replications was applied in this study. Almost all the parameters under this study showed significant results of foliar application of urea. Treatment T4 showed the highest result of phenological and growth parameters than the traditional practice and T1 (control) the lowest. Foliar fertilizer improves crop quality, regulate nutrient deficiencies. It is a fertilizer saving and an economical technique than others. This study adds to the body of knowledge by providing actual data on the dynamics of rice production's profitability, productivity and fertilizer saving.

Fo... more Efficient irrigation begins with properly installed and maintained pumps, motors, and engines. For this, the study was conducted on potential irrigation pump users of the Arsi and East Shewa zones with the objective of identifying the technical constraints of smallholder irrigation pump users. Doddota from Arsi and Dugda and Bora woreda from the East Shewa zone were selected. 211 samples size from 2321 pump users were used for data collection. The constraints listed by respondents, like pump damage, pump cost, long priming, and fuel, were the most common bottlenecks in pump irrigation schemes. Pump damage was positively correlation with use of un-recommended suction and delivery head, age of pump, long priming time and continues operation time but negatively correlation with pump maintenance, experience in irrigation farming and educational level of the household. Long priming and fuel consumption was positively (+Ve) correlation with use of un-recommended suction and delivery head, age of pump, operation time and pump size. From the existing pump type respondent responses, KAMA pumps were highly available on the market, vulnerable to damage, and had sufficient spare parts with values of 60.66, 64.45 and 44.08%, respectively. The lowest were Cushion their values were 1.42%, 3.32% and 3.78%, respectively. The respondents also reply, due to absence of governmental pump maintaining organization, cost of maintenance at local and private garage were very expensive (68.25%) and expensive (26.07%). This makes another problem on small holder irrigation pump. Therefore it is recommended to government to add pump maintaining structure at engineering center which serves' closely to scheme users and providing regular training on maintenance checklist. It is also recommended for engineering and socio-economic researchers to conduct research collaboratively to assess the gap frequently for other kebele pump user and technical performance evaluation for pump that have problems.

Micro rain pipe irrigation is a hopeful result for effective water utilization and improved crop ... more Micro rain pipe irrigation is a hopeful result for effective water utilization and improved crop yields at a lower cost compared to traditional irrigation systems. Technology adaptation was carried out to evaluate the hydraulic performance of rain pipes with different rain pipe spacing (3 and 4) m and hole spacing of (10, 20 and 30) cm using a 3inch pump having 5 Hp system. Hydraulic performance indicators such as uniformity coefficient, distribution uniformity, mean application rate, discharge per hole, coefficient of variation and width coverage were measured. The highest uniformity coefficient of (91.23%), distribution uniformity (84.93%) and mean application rate (17.17mm/h) were recorded under 3 m and 20 cm rain pipe and hole pipe spacing. The maximum width coverage of 6.25 m by one rain pipe was measured at 30 cm hole space under 3 m spacing of rain pipe but it was at nearest with the values of 20 cm hole space of rain pipe with 5.82 m. The results of evaluation indicated that, the appropriateness of rain pipe irrigation as economical and effective alternative for water management in lower space crops. Therefore, the findings of this study indicates that farmers can enhance water use efficiency and improve crop productivity in water scarce area at 1kg/cm2 operating pressure under 3 m and 20 cm rain pipe and hole space respectively.

The internship program is a crucial component of criminology education, providing students with p... more The internship program is a crucial component of criminology education, providing students with practical experience in law enforcement settings. This study investigates the multifaceted challenges that criminology intern’s face during their internships, aiming to identify key areas that need improvement to enhance their overall learning experience and academic success. The study used a qualitative approach using the phenomenological research design to explore the lived experiences of ten (10) criminology interns from one of the universities in Misamis Occidental, who encountered a lot of challenges during their internship programs were considered as participants of the study. Analysis of the response was done using Moustakas phenomenological reduction. Results identified four themes: Emotional Stress and Nervousness, Transportation Challenges, Time Management, and Academic Pressure and Workload. Emotional stress arises from the pressure to perform and fear of making mistakes, impacting confidence and performance. Transportation challenges affect punctuality and overall performance, while managing academic and internship responsibilities leads to stress and fatigue. Financial constraints further exacerbate academic challenges. The study concludes that addressing these challenges is essential for improving the internship experience and academic performance of criminology interns. It is recommended to enhance transportation infrastructure, implement effective time management strategies, provide emotional support systems, and offer financial assistance to support criminology interns.

Women police officers bring diverse perspectives and valuable skills to law enforcement, enhancin... more Women police officers bring diverse perspectives and valuable skills to law enforcement, enhancing the effectiveness and fairness of policing. This research explored the lived experiences of women police officers in one of the police stations in Misamis Occidental. This study utilized a qualitative approach using the phenomenological research design. The study focused on the lived experiences of ten (10) women police officers from Misamis Occidental. They were selected through purposive sampling based on the following criteria: must be a female police officer; with a minimum of three years of service; and willingness to participate. A face-to-face interview was used to gather data. Analysis of the response was done through Moustaka’s transcendental phenomenology. The research identified five themes emerged from the responses of the participants, these were: Navigating Gender Dynamics in Law Enforcement, Balancing Personal and Professional Life, Seeking Recognition and Career Advancement, Nurturing Inclusive Work Environments, and Advocating for Gender Equality and Representation. The study emphasizes the importance of mentorship programs, gender-sensitive policies, and organizational support in fostering an inclusive work environment, programs to foster a more inclusive and supportive work environment. This research contributes to the broader understanding of gender dynamics in policing and offers actionable recommendations for creating a more supportive and equitable law enforcement landscape. Implementing gender-inclusive policies, enhancing work-life balance through flexible scheduling and family support, and establishing robust mentorship programs supports and empowers women in law enforcement.

In law enforcement, retirement frequently signifies the change from a career of committed service... more In law enforcement, retirement frequently signifies the change from a career of committed service to a much-deserved moment of rest and contemplation. The study aimed to understand the factors that contribute to the success and longevity of law enforcement professionals with exemplary careers. The study utilized a qualitative research design, specifically appreciative inquiry (AI), conducted in a city within the province of Misamis Occidental, located in northern Mindanao, Philippines. Participants included nine retired uniform personnel from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and Bureau of Fire Protection. Data collection relied on an interview guide questionnaire as the primary instrument for gathering relevant study data. There were four (4) themes in the study, namely Commitment to Service and Upholding the Law, Personal Strengths and Professional Goals, Integrating Experiences into Training Programs, Communication, Empathy, and Community Engagement. The findings highlighted that the retired officers attributed their career longevity to personal resilience, adaptability, and a clear sense of professional purpose. The conclusions emphasize the enduring significance of law enforcement in ensuring public safety and promoting fairness and accountability. Law Enforcement Agencies may continue to integrate experiential learning and mentorship into law enforcement training curriculums to better prepare recruits for real-world challenges.

Background: Paracetamol is an over-the-counter medication commonly used for managing low grade pa... more Background: Paracetamol is an over-the-counter medication commonly used for managing low grade pain and fever. However, despite its clinical effectiveness, it has been associated with liver disease when taken in overdose. From literatures, Benincasa hispida has been associated with the hepatoprotective effects on drug induced hepatotoxicity. However, there is paucity of literature showing the hepatoprotective effects of Benincasa hispida on paracetamol-induced hepatotoxicity. Aim: To evaluate the gross morphological effect of Benincasa hispida on paracetamol-induced hepatotoxicity in Wister albino rats. Materials and Methods: This was a posttest-only true experimental design in which 25 Wister Albino Rats were used. Systematic random sampling method was used in recruiting and assigning the animals into control and experimental groups. Wister Albino rats as the sample population because of their strong genomic correlation with human being. The 25 animals were separated into five groups, each group having five animals. All the animals were concurrently treated with a constant dose of 1500mg/kg/bwt of Paracetamol and Different doses of Benincasa hispida except the Control that only fed on water adlibitum. Paracetamol was only administered with the 1500mg/kg/bwt. High, medium, low dose groups were administered with concurrent administration of 1500mg/kg/bwt of Paracetamol and 300, 200, 100mg/kg/bwt of Benincasa hispida respectively. On the 20th day, the animals were humanely sacrificed. The animals were dissected and the gross morphometric measurements such as the volume, weight, thickness and width of the liver were taken. The data was then uploaded into the statistical package for social science. The one-way ANOVA and post hoc test were used to test the significance level at the confidence interval at 95% and the p ˂ 0.05 was considered significant. Results: There was a significance (p ˂ 0.05) decrease in the terminal body weight of the paracetamol group as differentiated with the control. There was significance (p ˂ 0.001) reduction in the weight, length, width and thickness of the liver in the Paracetamol group relative to the control group. There was a statistical (p ˂ 0.001) difference of the weight, length, width and thickness of the liver of the High dose group as compared to the Paracetamol group. Conclusion: The gross morphological parameters such as the terminal body weight, Volume, thickness, weight of the liver can be used in assessing the histopathological changes on the hepatoprotective effects of Benincasa hispida on paracetamol induced hepatotoxicity.

This paper was conceived with the objective of synthesizing and evaluating some novel bifunctiona... more This paper was conceived with the objective of synthesizing and evaluating some novel bifunctional Dichlorotriazine (DCT) azo reactive dyes. They were synthesized via tetrazotization of 1, 4- benzenediamine followed by the coupling with cyanurated 4-nitroanilino acids components (H-acid, J-acid, Laurent acid, Tobias acid and Gamma acid) respectively. The spectra properties (UV-vis spectra, FT-IR, 1H NMR and MS) of the synthesised dyes are reported. The novel bifunctional dichlorotriazine (DCT) azo reactive dyes were applied on silk fabric using the exhaustion techniques. The total exhaustion and fixation values were estimated. The basic fastness properties to washing, light and perspiration of the dyes on silk fabric were discussed in terms of their chemical structure. The dyes showed good build up, levelling and fastness properties on silk fabrics.

Transgender’s living in urban and rural areas were selected for this research. Total number of sample was 70. Sample was divided into 2 parts 35 transgender from urban living and 35 transgender from rural living in West Bengal. There are 6 dimensions are used to find out the levels of mental health. The data was collected by using the Mental Health Inventory (MHI) Dr. Jagdish and Dr. A.K. Srivastava. Six dimensions were used to find out the level of mental health. The urban living Transgender’s mental health mean= 149.11 and SD= 21.18 show that there mental health level is poor, while the rural living Transgender’s mental health mean = 147.06 and SD= 20.89 show that there mental health level is also poor. Findings show that their mental health is in a bad state due to too much rejection, isolation, harshness, hearing derogatory words. May be this study will be helpful for the government for making the polices and enhancing their living, their acceptance from the society, good facilities and better life in ground level work.

Warbugia ugandensis is a traditional plant with multiple benefits. In Africa and Asian countries,... more Warbugia ugandensis is a traditional plant with multiple benefits. In Africa and Asian countries, the plant has been adopted to treat various conditions. It is commonly referred to as the green heart. On the other hand, atherosclerosis remains the leading cause of many vascular diseases. Its management is normally prolonged with patients being put on long-term care to achieve objectives of management. The aim of this study was to assess acute oral toxicity of W. ugandensis so as to come up with a safe dose to incorporate into the entire study. For acute oral toxicity a total of 12 rabbits were used. This study was carried out in 2 phases namely; phase I and phase II. Phase I had 9 animals that were further sub divided into 3 groups of each 3 rabbits. Phase II had 3 rabbits. The animals in all the 2 phases were observed for behavioral changes and mortality over 24 hours. The following results were obtained; in both phases, between 30 minutes to 48 hours the rabbits displayed normal activities while after 48 hours no mortality was recorded. Therefore, it was concluded that the safe dose of W. ugandensis for use in animal study is ≤ 5000mg/kgbwt as at this dose normal animal activity and no mortality was reported.

This paper explores strategies for effectively implementing UCC while addressing challenges related to social acceptance in the diverse socio-cultural fabric of India.
The introduction provides a comprehensive overview of the historical context and constitutional mandate of UCC under Article 44, highlighting its significance for promoting legal uniformity, gender equality, and social justice. The literature review synthesizes existing scholarship on UCC in India, examining legal precedents, policy debates, and public opinion. It identifies key challenges hindering UCC implementation, including constitutional complexities, religious diversity, federalism, and concerns about minority rights and cultural practices.
Building on this foundation, the methodology outlines a qualitative approach incorporating analysis of legal documents, policy documents, court judgments, and insights from stakeholders and experts. It discusses the rationale for selected methodologies to address research questions effectively.
Strategies for overcoming implementation challenges are proposed, encompassing legal reforms, public awareness campaigns, community consultations, engagement with religious leaders, and capacity-building for judiciary and legal professionals. These strategies aim to foster dialogue, understanding, and consensus among diverse communities.
The paper also examines the role of education, media, civil society, and advocacy groups in promoting social acceptance of UCC. Case studies from other countries provide comparative insights into successful approaches to managing similar legal reforms.

Results: Authors stated opportunities for stock market development including but not limit to: current low deposit rates, M&A opportunities in market still rise; coming from policy innovation efforts from the government (local); positive economic growth (average 5.2% last 3 years); etc. From our above analysis, we suggest that to reduce fluctuation of stock market, we need policies supporting GDP growth as well as increasing liquidity if we want to have more fluctuation on market.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the education system to transition from in-person classes to dis... more The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the education system to transition from in-person classes to distance learning as an urgent response to maintain the quality of education. This phenomenological study focused on the challenges faced by private schools in Oroquieta City while implementing new normal education. The study included 14 participants, including administrators, principals, and teachers, who were selected through purposive sampling. This research identified two (2) core themes and seven (7) subthemes: first, challenges encountered in the new normal education, and the subthemes pertain to anxiety in the online delivery of learning, unaffordability and instability of Internet connection, difficulty in monitoring students' performance, and increase in teachers' activities. Second, coping strategies in the new normal education, in which the subthemes are organized priorities, teacher enhancement, and resourcefulness. Despite the challenges faced, private school leaders and teachers have developed coping strategies to adapt and operate successfully with the new normal education paradigm.

This paper explores the use of educational robots in teaching programming, with a focus on the vi... more This paper explores the use of educational robots in teaching programming, with a focus on the virtual robot Karel. Developed in 1981, Karel is one of the earliest educational tools designed to teach programming and algorithmic thinking. Through simple commands and a grid environment, Karel provides students with an opportunity to grasp the fundamental principles of programming in a visual and interactive manner. The paper outlines the evolution of Karel from its initial form to modern 3D implementations, as well as the integration of physical robots that allow students to see their commands executed in real-time. This combination of theoretical and practical education bridges the gap between learning and application, enhancing students’ understanding and problem-solving abilities. The robot’s functional specifications include basic movement commands, turns, gripper control, lifting, and obstacle detection and handling. These functionalities enable the robot to interact with its environment accurately and efficiently, offering students a rich field for experimentation and learning. The application design encompasses the development of movement control units, servomechanisms, ultrasonic sensors, and communication modules, ensuring the smooth operation and interactivity of the robot.

The developments for new electric small family car safety systems have significantly contributed ... more The developments for new electric small family car safety systems have significantly contributed to the overall reduction in road fatalities and severe injuries in Europe, with advanced safety technologies addressing the gap in the existing small family car rated at Euro-NCAP. People are much more likely to die in crashes that include a car. Vulnerable Road users represent a high number of fatalities due to a collision with motorized vehicles. Fatalities overwhelmingly occur in collisions between cars, trucks, and other impacts. The safety performance of cars needs to be further improved as part of an integrated road safety approach to protect vulnerable road users better as well as car occupants. Improving in-vehicle technologies increases vehicles' performance and capabilities to interact with the road driving environment, helping or replacing the driver to manage unexpected and unsafe traffic situations. This paper will describe adult restraints as passive safety systems and Active Safety systems for new cars (Electric) to be done by The Geely Motor Group. The proposed recommendation, according to the gaps that occur in VW Golf vehicles after comparing them with other vehicles, is described.

With these objectives, the comparison of the technology was done with the traditional way of chopping animal feed chopping practice. It also replicated over four research sites. The result from the finding indicated that animal feed chopper technology had a chopping capacity of 464kg/hr on average with one operator. Whereas traditional animal feed chopping practices using locally available material took 58kg/hr on average with one operator. This finding indicated us animal feed chopper technology had a huge advantage in terms of time minimizing and quality of animal feed being chopped. Data was collected from farmers, DAs, and woreda expertise. Data collected from different stakeholders and data collected during the accomplishment of the research revealed that; the technology had a chopping capacity of about 800%. In addition to this, the technology has many advantages over traditional practice in terms of labor-saving, time-saving, and cost minimization. Two micro interposes were selected from two woredas and practical and theoretical training was given to them. Finally, the linkage between different stakeholders was made for further scaling up of the technology.

This action research sought to enhance the conceptual comprehension in English among Grade 8 pupils. The research utilized a classroom-based action research methodology, recruiting 33 students by purposive sampling from a public secondary school in Ozamiz City during the 2023-2024 academic year. A researcher-developed pre-test and post-test were utilized for data collection, with analysis involving the calculation of the mean and standard deviation, as well as the execution of a t-test. The study employed statistical tools like frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. Thematic analysis was conducted via HyperResearch to identify prevalent and emerging themes. Prior to the use of clustering techniques, the students' conceptual grasp was inadequate; however, following the intervention, their performance improved to a satisfactory level. The integration of the clustered flower method is an effective tool for improving students' conceptual comprehension in English.

Increasing student engagement and participation in classroom activities is a critical challenge f... more Increasing student engagement and participation in classroom activities is a critical challenge faced by educators. Finding effective strategies to motivate students and foster active involvement can significantly impact their academic performance and overall learning experience. The study was conducted to enhance Grade 8 students' participation in English class through the implementation of Board Points during the academic year 2023-2024 at one of the secondary schools in Ozamiz City, Philippines. The research utilized a classroom-based action research design, employing purposive sampling to select 32 students as participants. Data collection used a researcher-made instrument, specifically a Likert scale, to measure student participation levels. The analysis included calculating the mean and standard deviation, conducting a T-test to identify significant differences before and after the intervention, and thematic analysis with the aid of Hyper Research. Findings reveal that before implementing the Board Points system, the level of student participation was moderately high. After the intervention, participation significantly improved, reaching a very high level, thus demonstrating the system's effectiveness in enhancing engagement. The study also showed a highly significant difference in participation levels before and after the intervention. Additional positive developments among learners included an increased sense of achievement, strengthened peer relationships, and improved academic performance. These results suggest that the Board Points system is valuable for boosting student engagement in English classes. Based on these findings, it is recommended that English teachers and educators in other subjects consider integrating the Board Points system into their teaching strategies to enhance student participation and engagement.

It encourages quick plant growth and enhances grain quality and production through increased protein synthesis, tillering, leaf area development, grain formation and filling. Urea is one of the greatest and popular sources of nitrogen. Rice production is hampered when nitrogen fertilizer, particularly urea, is unavailable during crucial times (flood, sowing season, drought). Studies in different literature have shown that applying nitrogen fertilizer as foliar application in addition to the soil application increases its efficiency. A study was carried out to observe the theme “Evaluation of effectiveness of foliar application of urea fertilizer on growth, development and yield of BRRI Dhan 84 in Rajshahi region’’ in the field of Agronomy and Agricultural extension Department Field, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh from December 2023-April 2024. Six different percentage of urea as foliar application with BRRI Dhan-84 rice variety were used for this study. 1. T1= N0% Control, 2. T2= 65% of recommended dose (N 50% as SA + 15% as FA), 3. T3= 70% of recommended dose (N50% as SA + 20% as FA), 4. T4= 75% of recommended dose (N50 % as SA + 25 % as FA), 5. T5= 80% of recommended dose (N60% as SA + 20% as FA), 6. T6= N100% Soil application (Traditional practice). A randomized complete block design with three replications was applied in this study. Almost all the parameters under this study showed significant results of foliar application of urea. Treatment T4 showed the highest result of phenological and growth parameters than the traditional practice and T1 (control) the lowest. Foliar fertilizer improves crop quality, regulate nutrient deficiencies. It is a fertilizer saving and an economical technique than others. This study adds to the body of knowledge by providing actual data on the dynamics of rice production's profitability, productivity and fertilizer saving.

Fo... more Efficient irrigation begins with properly installed and maintained pumps, motors, and engines. For this, the study was conducted on potential irrigation pump users of the Arsi and East Shewa zones with the objective of identifying the technical constraints of smallholder irrigation pump users. Doddota from Arsi and Dugda and Bora woreda from the East Shewa zone were selected. 211 samples size from 2321 pump users were used for data collection. The constraints listed by respondents, like pump damage, pump cost, long priming, and fuel, were the most common bottlenecks in pump irrigation schemes. Pump damage was positively correlation with use of un-recommended suction and delivery head, age of pump, long priming time and continues operation time but negatively correlation with pump maintenance, experience in irrigation farming and educational level of the household. Long priming and fuel consumption was positively (+Ve) correlation with use of un-recommended suction and delivery head, age of pump, operation time and pump size. From the existing pump type respondent responses, KAMA pumps were highly available on the market, vulnerable to damage, and had sufficient spare parts with values of 60.66, 64.45 and 44.08%, respectively. The lowest were Cushion their values were 1.42%, 3.32% and 3.78%, respectively. The respondents also reply, due to absence of governmental pump maintaining organization, cost of maintenance at local and private garage were very expensive (68.25%) and expensive (26.07%). This makes another problem on small holder irrigation pump. Therefore it is recommended to government to add pump maintaining structure at engineering center which serves' closely to scheme users and providing regular training on maintenance checklist. It is also recommended for engineering and socio-economic researchers to conduct research collaboratively to assess the gap frequently for other kebele pump user and technical performance evaluation for pump that have problems.

Technology adaptation was carried out to evaluate the hydraulic performance of rain pipes with different rain pipe spacing (3 and 4) m and hole spacing of (10, 20 and 30) cm using a 3inch pump having 5 Hp system. Hydraulic performance indicators such as uniformity coefficient, distribution uniformity, mean application rate, discharge per hole, coefficient of variation and width coverage were measured. The highest uniformity coefficient of (91.23%), distribution uniformity (84.93%) and mean application rate (17.17mm/h) were recorded under 3 m and 20 cm rain pipe and hole pipe spacing. The maximum width coverage of 6.25 m by one rain pipe was measured at 30 cm hole space under 3 m spacing of rain pipe but it was at nearest with the values of 20 cm hole space of rain pipe with 5.82 m. The results of evaluation indicated that, the appropriateness of rain pipe irrigation as economical and effective alternative for water management in lower space crops. Therefore, the findings of this study indicates that farmers can enhance water use efficiency and improve crop productivity in water scarce area at 1kg/cm2 operating pressure under 3 m and 20 cm rain pipe and hole space respectively.

This study investigates the multifaceted challenges that criminology intern’s face during their internships, aiming to identify key areas that need improvement to enhance their overall learning experience and academic success. The study used a qualitative approach using the phenomenological research design to explore the lived experiences of ten (10) criminology interns from one of the universities in Misamis Occidental, who encountered a lot of challenges during their internship programs were considered as participants of the study. Analysis of the response was done using Moustakas phenomenological reduction. Results identified four themes: Emotional Stress and Nervousness, Transportation Challenges, Time Management, and Academic Pressure and Workload. Emotional stress arises from the pressure to perform and fear of making mistakes, impacting confidence and performance. Transportation challenges affect punctuality and overall performance, while managing academic and internship responsibilities leads to stress and fatigue. Financial constraints further exacerbate academic challenges. The study concludes that addressing these challenges is essential for improving the internship experience and academic performance of criminology interns. It is recommended to enhance transportation infrastructure, implement effective time management strategies, provide emotional support systems, and offer financial assistance to support criminology interns.

This research explored the lived experiences of women police officers in one of the police stations in Misamis Occidental. This study utilized a qualitative approach using the phenomenological research design. The study focused on the lived experiences of ten (10) women police officers from Misamis Occidental. They were selected through purposive sampling based on the following criteria: must be a female police officer; with a minimum of three years of service; and willingness to participate. A face-to-face interview was used to gather data. Analysis of the response was done through Moustaka’s transcendental phenomenology. The research identified five themes emerged from the responses of the participants, these were: Navigating Gender Dynamics in Law Enforcement, Balancing Personal and Professional Life, Seeking Recognition and Career Advancement, Nurturing Inclusive Work Environments, and Advocating for Gender Equality and Representation. The study emphasizes the importance of mentorship programs, gender-sensitive policies, and organizational support in fostering an inclusive work environment, programs to foster a more inclusive and supportive work environment. This research contributes to the broader understanding of gender dynamics in policing and offers actionable recommendations for creating a more supportive and equitable law enforcement landscape. Implementing gender-inclusive policies, enhancing work-life balance through flexible scheduling and family support, and establishing robust mentorship programs supports and empowers women in law enforcement.

The study aimed to understand the factors that contribute to the success and longevity of law enforcement professionals with exemplary careers. The study utilized a qualitative research design, specifically appreciative inquiry (AI), conducted in a city within the province of Misamis Occidental, located in northern Mindanao, Philippines. Participants included nine retired uniform personnel from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and Bureau of Fire Protection. Data collection relied on an interview guide questionnaire as the primary instrument for gathering relevant study data. There were four (4) themes in the study, namely Commitment to Service and Upholding the Law, Personal Strengths and Professional Goals, Integrating Experiences into Training Programs, Communication, Empathy, and Community Engagement. The findings highlighted that the retired officers attributed their career longevity to personal resilience, adaptability, and a clear sense of professional purpose. The conclusions emphasize the enduring significance of law enforcement in ensuring public safety and promoting fairness and accountability. Law Enforcement Agencies may continue to integrate experiential learning and mentorship into law enforcement training curriculums to better prepare recruits for real-world challenges.

Background: Paracetamol is an over-the-counter medication commonly used for managing low grade pa... more Background: Paracetamol is an over-the-counter medication commonly used for managing low grade pain and fever. However, despite its clinical effectiveness, it has been associated with liver disease when taken in overdose. From literatures, Benincasa hispida has been associated with the hepatoprotective effects on drug induced hepatotoxicity. However, there is paucity of literature showing the hepatoprotective effects of Benincasa hispida on paracetamol-induced hepatotoxicity. Aim: To evaluate the gross morphological effect of Benincasa hispida on paracetamol-induced hepatotoxicity in Wister albino rats. Materials and Methods: This was a posttest-only true experimental design in which 25 Wister Albino Rats were used. Systematic random sampling method was used in recruiting and assigning the animals into control and experimental groups. Wister Albino rats as the sample population because of their strong genomic correlation with human being. The 25 animals were separated into five groups, each group having five animals. All the animals were concurrently treated with a constant dose of 1500mg/kg/bwt of Paracetamol and Different doses of Benincasa hispida except the Control that only fed on water adlibitum. Paracetamol was only administered with the 1500mg/kg/bwt. High, medium, low dose groups were administered with concurrent administration of 1500mg/kg/bwt of Paracetamol and 300, 200, 100mg/kg/bwt of Benincasa hispida respectively. On the 20th day, the animals were humanely sacrificed. The animals were dissected and the gross morphometric measurements such as the volume, weight, thickness and width of the liver were taken. The data was then uploaded into the statistical package for social science. The one-way ANOVA and post hoc test were used to test the significance level at the confidence interval at 95% and the p ˂ 0.05 was considered significant. Results: There was a significance (p ˂ 0.05) decrease in the terminal body weight of the paracetamol group as differentiated with the control. There was significance (p ˂ 0.001) reduction in the weight, length, width and thickness of the liver in the Paracetamol group relative to the control group. There was a statistical (p ˂ 0.001) difference of the weight, length, width and thickness of the liver of the High dose group as compared to the Paracetamol group. Conclusion: The gross morphological parameters such as the terminal body weight, Volume, thickness, weight of the liver can be used in assessing the histopathological changes on the hepatoprotective effects of Benincasa hispida on paracetamol induced hepatotoxicity.

They were synthesized via tetrazotization of 1, 4- benzenediamine followed by the coupling with cyanurated 4-nitroanilino acids components (H-acid, J-acid, Laurent acid, Tobias acid and Gamma acid) respectively. The spectra properties (UV-vis spectra, FT-IR, 1H NMR and MS) of the synthesised dyes are reported. The novel bifunctional dichlorotriazine (DCT) azo reactive dyes were applied on silk fabric using the exhaustion techniques. The total exhaustion and fixation values were estimated. The basic fastness properties to washing, light and perspiration of the dyes on silk fabric were discussed in terms of their chemical structure. The dyes showed good build up, levelling and fastness properties on silk fabrics.

Transgender’s living in urban and rural areas were selected for this research. Total number of sample was 70. Sample was divided into 2 parts 35 transgender from urban living and 35 transgender from rural living in West Bengal. There are 6 dimensions are used to find out the levels of mental health. The data was collected by using the Mental Health Inventory (MHI) Dr. Jagdish and Dr. A.K. Srivastava. Six dimensions were used to find out the level of mental health. The urban living Transgender’s mental health mean= 149.11 and SD= 21.18 show that there mental health level is poor, while the rural living Transgender’s mental health mean = 147.06 and SD= 20.89 show that there mental health level is also poor. Findings show that their mental health is in a bad state due to too much rejection, isolation, harshness, hearing derogatory words. May be this study will be helpful for the government for making the polices and enhancing their living, their acceptance from the society, good facilities and better life in ground level work.

In Africa and Asian countries, the plant has been adopted to treat various conditions. It is commonly referred to as the green heart. On the other hand, atherosclerosis remains the leading cause of many vascular diseases. Its management is normally prolonged with patients being put on long-term care to achieve objectives of management. The aim of this study was to assess acute oral toxicity of W. ugandensis so as to come up with a safe dose to incorporate into the entire study. For acute oral toxicity a total of 12 rabbits were used. This study was carried out in 2 phases namely; phase I and phase II. Phase I had 9 animals that were further sub divided into 3 groups of each 3 rabbits. Phase II had 3 rabbits. The animals in all the 2 phases were observed for behavioral changes and mortality over 24 hours. The following results were obtained; in both phases, between 30 minutes to 48 hours the rabbits displayed normal activities while after 48 hours no mortality was recorded. Therefore, it was concluded that the safe dose of W. ugandensis for use in animal study is ≤ 5000mg/kgbwt as at this dose normal animal activity and no mortality was reported.

This paper explores strategies for effectively implementing UCC while addressing challenges related to social acceptance in the diverse socio-cultural fabric of India.
The introduction provides a comprehensive overview of the historical context and constitutional mandate of UCC under Article 44, highlighting its significance for promoting legal uniformity, gender equality, and social justice. The literature review synthesizes existing scholarship on UCC in India, examining legal precedents, policy debates, and public opinion. It identifies key challenges hindering UCC implementation, including constitutional complexities, religious diversity, federalism, and concerns about minority rights and cultural practices.
Building on this foundation, the methodology outlines a qualitative approach incorporating analysis of legal documents, policy documents, court judgments, and insights from stakeholders and experts. It discusses the rationale for selected methodologies to address research questions effectively.
Strategies for overcoming implementation challenges are proposed, encompassing legal reforms, public awareness campaigns, community consultations, engagement with religious leaders, and capacity-building for judiciary and legal professionals. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the education system to transition from in-person classes to dis... more The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the education system to transition from in-person classes to distance learning as an urgent response to maintain the quality of education. This phenomenological study focused on the challenges faced by private schools in Oroquieta City while implementing new normal education. The study included 14 participants, including administrators, principals, and teachers, who were selected through purposive sampling. This research identified two (2) core themes and seven (7) subthemes: first, challenges encountered in the new normal education, and the subthemes pertain to anxiety in the online delivery of learning, unaffordability and instability of Internet connection, difficulty in monitoring students' performance, and increase in teachers' activities. Second, coping strategies in the new normal education, in which the subthemes are organized priorities, teacher enhancement, and resourcefulness. Despite the challenges faced, private school leaders and teachers have developed coping strategies to adapt and operate successfully with the new normal education paradigm.

Developed in 1981, Karel is one of the earliest educational tools designed to teach programming and algorithmic thinking. Through simple commands and a grid environment, Karel provides students with an opportunity to grasp the fundamental principles of programming in a visual and interactive manner. The paper outlines the evolution of Karel from its initial form to modern 3D implementations, as well as the integration of physical robots that allow students to see their commands executed in real-time. This combination of theoretical and practical education bridges the gap between learning and application, enhancing students’ understanding and problem-solving abilities. The robot’s functional specifications include basic movement commands, turns, gripper control, lifting, and obstacle detection and handling. These functionalities enable the robot to interact with its environment accurately and efficiently, offering students a rich field for experimentation and learning. The application design encompasses the development of movement control units, servomechanisms, ultrasonic sensors, and communication modules, ensuring the smooth operation and interactivity of the robot.

The developments for new electric small family car safety systems have significantly contributed ... more The developments for new electric small family car safety systems have significantly contributed to the overall reduction in road fatalities and severe injuries in Europe, with advanced safety technologies addressing the gap in the existing small family car rated at Euro-NCAP. People are much more likely to die in crashes that include a car. Vulnerable Road users represent a high number of fatalities due to a collision with motorized vehicles. Fatalities overwhelmingly occur in collisions between cars, trucks, and other impacts. The safety performance of cars needs to be further improved as part of an integrated road safety approach to protect vulnerable road users better as well as car occupants. Improving in-vehicle technologies increases vehicles' performance and capabilities to interact with the road driving environment, helping or replacing the driver to manage unexpected and unsafe traffic situations. This paper will describe adult restraints as passive safety systems and Active Safety systems for new cars (Electric) to be done by The Geely Motor Group. The proposed recommendation, according to the gaps that occur in VW Golf vehicles after comparing them with other vehicles, is described.
