This study was conducted to know the students'response toward collaborative writing in narrative ... more This study was conducted to know the students'response toward collaborative writing in narrative text. The study participants were selected based on the teacher's recommendation from the computer networking class of the vocational school in Karawang's eleventh grade with six students were asked to fill the task writing narrative text, and fill the interviewees to share their opinion about writing English narrative text pair with friend. The data from observation and interviews.the result of this study is , students response to collaborative pair writing experience were mostly very positive and only 1 out 6 said that would have preferred to write individually. The learners who wrote in pairs tended to prefer this condition, because it encourage more opportunities for active in the text. However, those who wrote with pairs felt that there were more ideas and knowledge to share, and therefore more possibilities for language development.

This study investigates the impact of using flashcards on the learning process, focusing on vocab... more This study investigates the impact of using flashcards on the learning process, focusing on vocabulary acquisition in a Senior High School in Karawang. The qualitative descriptive method, employing random sampling, was utilized for data collection through observation and interviews. The Interactive Model was employed for data analysis. The findings reveal that the integration of flashcards enhances classroom productivity, boosts student motivation, improves response rates, increases student participation, promotes active and enthusiastic engagement in the learning process, enhances pronunciation, fluency, and comprehension skills among students.

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang menggunakan model Sugiyono yang bert... more Penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang menggunakan model Sugiyono yang bertujuan mengidentifikasi masalah dan kebutuhan rencana pelajaran di SMK Pratama Mulya Ciampel, menentukan desain yang sesuai dan mengembangkan rencana pelajaran berbasis karakter di SMK, mengukur efektivitas dan kualitas rencana pelajaran yang dikembangkan. Data penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa rencana pembelajaran yang ada tidak secara jelas menyatakan nilai-nilai karakter bangsa dan penilaian dan tidak secara eksplisit dinyatakan pada kegiatan pembelajaran. Kegiatan belajar tampak monoton. Tampaknya ada pengulangan materi. Materi harus sesuai dengan jurusan siswa. Rencana pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dirancang berdasarkan pedoman teknis pengembangan rencana pembelajaran yang diusulkan dengan penilaian karakter sebagai tambahan. Rencana pembelajaran dikembangkan dalam bentuk rencana pelajaran terpadu. Rencana pembelajaran yang dikembangkan efektif dan kualitasnya sangat baik.

This situation makes portfolios as alternative assessments increasingly popular. As the popularity of the portfolio grows, questions among assessment developers have also arisen. They question whether the portfolio really is a proper assessment. In this study, the researcher investigated the wash-back effect of portfolio-based assessment. She observed the instructional process in a translation and a writing class to see how the two types of portfolios were used. The aims of this study are to investigate the perceptions of two vocational high school students ... more The aims of this study are to investigate the perceptions of two vocational high school students majoring Animation and Accounting about asynchronous online learning during pandemic and how they overcome the challenges faced. This study used qualitative exploratory research design by conducting observation, interview and documentation to get rich data of the subject under focus. Moreover, the researcher used thematic analysis to analyse the data collected by following six steps proposed by Braun et al. (2019). The findings showed that asynchronous online learning strategies seemed to not fit the participants. The students more preferred learning that is conducted synchronously which for some students is perceived as a burden as they have to deal with the problem of internet data. Other findings also indicated that students who still had problem with material given were likely to have discussion with other students as an effort to overcome one of the challenges faced.

It is one way of expressing ideas, feelings, thoughts, even arguments and knowledge into a piece of paper. Descriptive text is a text which purpose is to describe someone, a place, or something. Students considered writing descriptive text is difficult to do because it is done in English which is a foreign language for them. This research aimed to understand students’ difficulty in writing descriptive text and the causes. This research was using the narrative inquiry method in one of Junior High School in Karawang with a total of five eight-grade students as the participants. The data was collected through a structured personal interview with an interview guideline as the instruments and analyzed based on Miles & Huberman (1994): data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion/verification. Magang kewirausahaan bagi mahasiswa merupakan proses belajar sambil bekerja yang bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan kewirausahaan kepada mahasiswa tentang jasa penerjemahan. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tentang : 1) konsep kewirausahaan, 2) jasa penerjemahan, dan 3) konsep magang kewirausahaan. This situation makes portfolios as alternative assessments increasingly popular. As the popularity of the portfolio grows, questions among assessment developers have also arisen. They question whether the portfolio really is a proper assessment. In this study, the researcher investigated the wash-back effect of portfolio-based assessment. She observed the instructional process in a translation and a writing class to see how the two types of portfolios were used. The aims of this study are to investigate the perceptions of two vocational high school students ... more The aims of this study are to investigate the perceptions of two vocational high school students majoring Animation and Accounting about asynchronous online learning during pandemic and how they overcome the challenges faced. This study used qualitative exploratory research design by conducting observation, interview and documentation to get rich data of the subject under focus. Moreover, the researcher used thematic analysis to analyse the data collected by following six steps proposed by Braun et al. (2019). The findings showed that asynchronous online learning strategies seemed to not fit the participants. The students more preferred learning that is conducted synchronously which for some students is perceived as a burden as they have to deal with the problem of internet data. Other findings also indicated that students who still had problem with material given were likely to have discussion with other students as an effort to overcome one of the challenges faced.
