In this paper, the combustion characteristics of polyurethane-aluminum composite material, including ignition time, heat release rate, mass loss rate, concentration of gas components and other parameters, are studied and analyzed under six different heat fluxes, namely 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 kW/m 2 , with cone calorimeter to investigate the combustion performance of the material. The results show that the heat release rate reaches a minimum value under a flux of about 30 kW/m 2. The curve trends of CO and CO 2 concentrations, mass loss rate and heat release rate over time are similar, whereas the concentration of O 2 changes inversely. Based on the experimental data, the classic formula between ignition time and radiation heat flux of thermally thick material can be used to predict the pyrolysis process of polyurethane-aluminum composite materials successfully, but the critical heat flux cannot be predicted.

It uses the approximate geo-location information derived from the sensor navigation instruments and the SRTM-DEM. The method consists in the extraction of a relative DEM, which initially is not correctly geo-referenced. This relative DEM is then matched to the SRTM-DEM, allowing for the determination of positional correction to the image orientation. Although the SRTM-DEM has a much coarser resolution, the positioning accuracy of this matching method was found, in previous work, to be of the order of 5 meters in plan coordinates, using DEM patches of 5 by 5 km. Tests were realized with PRISM images of a relatively mountainous region in Portugal, with heights ranging from sea level to 1400 meters. The horizontal accuracy, assessed with 56 independent check points identified on orthophotos of 0.5 meter resolution, gave an RMSE of 2.7 m and 3.9 m in x and y dir...

The family members of HBsAg carriers have an increased risk of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection.... more The family members of HBsAg carriers have an increased risk of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. 214 subjects from 98 families with no HBV markers were randomized to receive hepatitis B vaccine: HEVAC B (Institute Pasteur) or GCC VAC (Green Cross Corporation) at 0, 1, and 5 months. Of those who completed the course, 87.8% had an anti‐HBs response of > 10 mIU/ml at 6 months. The response rate was similar for both sexes. There was a decrease in response rate and anti‐HBs titre with age. The response rate for HEVAC B was 92.5% and GCC VAC 84.3%. The offspring had comparable response to the spouses who were not blood relatives of the index carriers, but this could be related to their younger age. Discriminant analysis showed that a higher anti‐HBs titre was associated with HEVAC B, younger age, and less direct relationship with the index carrier.
