For which efficiency of compression system plays an important role. Now-a-days the optimization of bit stream is necessary to transfer the data in compressed manner. To achieve this objective the scheme used is embedded transmission. In embedded transmission the transmission of compressed low bit rate information is sent first then the higher bit rate information follows. The advantage of this scheme is if some information in the bit stream is not received, then using lower bit rate information corresponding to them can be decoded. Thus for these transmission scheme both the transmitting and encoding time are necessary. Thus for this objective we use Embedded zero tree wavelet (EZW) encoding technique for the compression & embedded transmission of images. The main objective of this paper is to implement & show how to improve EZW coding with reduced & improved execution time. Therefore by assuming most of the coefficients value present in the decomposed subband to be low and near to zero, present coding can be improved, as there is no need to check them again and again for significance.

Research paper thumbnail of Fade Mitigation for Air-to-Ground Communication in Aeronautical Telemetry

Air-toground channel for this telemetry link can be estimated as line of sight propagation. But there is link loss observed at ground control station for certain instant of time. Possible causes of link loss in this case are due to aircraft maneuvering and fading. So analysis of various fade mitigation techniques as well as bit error rate (BER) and signal to noise (SNR) ratio performance comparison between selection diversity, equal gain combining and maximal ratio combining scheme is done. Finally bit error rate performance comparison curve between maximal ratio scheme (MRC) and Alamouti dual antenna transmission scheme is plotted, in order to find out the best scheme for fade mitigation, among all the above mentioned schemes.

The performance of the proposed system is calculated in terms of number of signal processing attacks by changing the strength of watermarking and covers image resources. The experimental results signify that this proposed system provides better robustness without impress the quality of watermarked image. This proposed system combines the advantages and removes the drawback of the two transform techniques. It demands serious protection of user’s privacy for all applications. Therefore image encryption and decryption techniques are usually used to avoid intrusion attack. It is found that the hybrid code achieves better outcome in terms of robustness.

Using the information gathered in the previous phase, we have developed a network architecture that improves overall network performance and multimedia streaming. In parallel, it has been designed and programmed a communication protocol that allows implementing the proposal and testing its operation on real network infrastructures. In the last phase of this thesis we have focused our work on sending multimedia in wireless sensor networks (WSN). Based on the above results, we have adapted both the architecture and the communication protocol for this particular type of network, whose use has been growing hugely in recent years.

These techniques have some merits and demerits. The concentration of this research work is especially upon the Selected Mapping (SLM) and Partial Transmit Sequence (PTS) techniques using Wavelet transforms (IDWT and DWT) instead of conventional Fast Fourier Transforms. The Fourier transform is a powerful tool to analyze the components of stationary signals for example this transform is used to process the signals containing the combination of sine and cosine signals. But the Fourier transform is less useful to analyze the components of non stationary signals. In non stationary signals there is a change in the properties of the signal and these signals are analyzes in real time. The wavelet transform is used to analyze the components of non stationary signals. Using wavelets the filters for stationary and non stationary signals can also be constructed. The mathematics of wavelets is much large in comparison to Fourier transform and this can be said that mathematics of wavelets encompasses the Fourier transform. The size of wavelet theory is matched to the application area. The main difference between these two transforms is the wavelet transform can be localized in both frequency and time domain whereas the Fourier transform can only be localized in frequency [11].

Method can fast-track the time-varying channel where the channel response changes very quickly. At the same time, without excessive insertion of training sequences and pilot symbols, the performance of more greatly improved.
