Adsorption of Methyl Green dye using Fava Bean Peel Waste was investigated in detail by conductin... more Adsorption of Methyl Green dye using Fava Bean Peel Waste was investigated in detail by conducting batch kinetic, thermodynamic and desorption experiments. Experimental data found appear that adsorption method was highly dependent on equilibrium time, adsorbent amount, and initial concentration of dye and pH solution. The sorption equilibrium for Methyl Green dye via Fava Bean Peel Waste was reached within 30 minutes and removal percentage of up to 82%. The result appear isotherm Freundlich gave the better fit comparative with Langmuir isotherm., Thermodynamic quantities including Gibbs free energy, enthalpy, entropy was evaluated, the negative values for each (∆Gº and ∆Hº) obtained indicated the spontaneous and exothermic process and negative value of ΔSº is indicate decreased randomness during the process of adsorption.

To establish the capability of near-infrared fluorescence (NIRF) imaging for the detection of mat... more To establish the capability of near-infrared fluorescence (NIRF) imaging for the detection of matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP-2) activity as a biomarker of vascular remodeling (VR) in arteriovenous fistulae (AVFs) in vivo. AVFs were created in the right groins of Wistar rats (n = 10), and sham procedures were performed in the contralateral groins. Fistulography via a left common carotid artery approach confirmed stenosis (> 50%) in a subset of animals (n = 5) 4 weeks after AVF creation. After administration of MMP-2-activated NIRF probe, near-infrared imaging was performed in vivo and ex vivo of both the AVF and the sham-treated vessels to measure radiant efficiency of MMP-2-activated NIRF signal over background. Histologic analyses of AVF and sham-treated vessels were performed to measure VR defined as inward growth of the vessel caused by intimal thickening. each acquisition (digital fluoroscopy (DF), digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and cone beam C... more each acquisition (digital fluoroscopy (DF), digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and cone beam CT (CBCT)) was recorded using DICOM Radiation Dose Structured Reports (RDSR). DSA image quality was assessed by two independent readers on a four-rank-scale in a randomized and blinded fashion. Unpaired t-test and Wilcoxon rank-sum test were used for statistical significance and Spearman's roh was used for correlation assessment. Results: Both patient cohorts showed no difference with regards to body mass index (p¼0.71), DF (p¼0.50) and DSA time (p¼0.69). The new system resulted in a statistically significant reduction of cumulative AK and cumulative DAP of 62% and 69% compared to the old platform, respectively (median of 0.44 vs. 1.16 Gy and 124.1 vs. 395.8 Gy*cm 2). Specifically, DF and DSA DAP decreased significantly by 57% and 82%, respectively (po0.001), whereas CBCT DAP decreased by only 17% (p¼0.34). Thus, the relative contribution of CBCT to the cumulative DAP increased from 11% to 29%. No statistically significant differences in image quality were found between the two imaging platforms according to both readers (p¼0.84 and p¼0.78, respectively). Conclusion: The new imaging platform significantly reduced radiation exposure for TACE procedures without increased radiation time or negative impact on image quality.
